This was an ok book, but I think this is one of those novellas that would have benefitted from being a full length book. Sophie has been attracted to Jake since she first laid eyes on her boss and her friend has done everything in her power to get Sophie and Jake together. Jake has known Sophie is his mate since he first saw her but he has held back till he can't anymore. When the two of them are finally thrust together by well meaning loved ones the sparks fly but Jake knows theirs a lot Sophie needs to learn about him before he can claim his mate. At times I really enjoyed this book but then felt myself wishing for more of a connection from both Sophie and Jake and I think I would have gotten that had this book been a little longer.

The story wasn't bad for a short but it is in need of serious edit. "Little lair" was used three times and it should have been "little liar". There were a ton of other grammatical errors that could be easily fixed to make the book enjoyable instead of just bearable.

This is the first book that I have read from this author. I really enjoyed it. I liked it enough that I'm now checking up on them to see what each they have written.

I'm really loving all the great books out there about BBW and shifters and this is a fine sample of them. I'm really hoping that they get around to writing about the father and the friend!! ;-)

Sophie Abbot has a major crush on her boss, Jake Anderson. Jake Anderson know Sophie is his mate, but it has taken a bit of time for him to come to grasps of the fact that Sophie is the polar opposite of his type of woman. No matter, he plans to charm his mate, but every time he gets the chance it is mucked up.

Sophie knows she is not the leggy blonde type Jake regularly goes for, but she feels like there maybe something there if only she can figure out how to ask him out. Two people who are meant to be together, have a rocky road to an everlasting relationship.

I thought this was quite fun, it had a few issues but overall I am a sucker for alpha men who blunder their way into finding their mate.

Fairly standard premise and not all that unique. I'm ok with this and enjoyed the story fine but editing is an issue. Spelling, gramma and worse....wrong words obviously being used.

It did detract from the essence of the book which was disappointing.

This is seriously one of my favorites!!! A classic sweet yet naive bigger girl, she loves her boss and thinks she can't gain his love in return. He has lusted after her for months and is beyond the point of no return. He will have his mate, with some help with some out side meddling help of those closest to them. I love this book and have read it now multiple times.

I absolutely loved our two leading ladies. Everyone needs a Mary Anne to guide them. An amusing, emotional and wonderfully steamy paranormal romance. I enjoyed it very much.

Biggest pet peeve grammar, punctuation and spelling. It is never a clear indication who is talking, who is thinking and the flow is wrong. Nice story but needs an editor to shape it.

This is probably a 3.5 stars for me as I had a hard time deciding if it was a 3 or a 4. As you see, I chose 4 because I know I'll be rereading this one at some point.

There are quite a few grammar mistakes and some wrong word choices where I knew what they were trying to say from the context but they chose the wrong word to say it. It is a little disconcerting and drops me out of the story.

This is a shame as other than that I really like the writing style of the 2 ladies who publish as Lynn Richards. I enjoy the story lines and for the most part, I really like the characters. Jake and Sophie are mostly enjoyable although both of them got on my nerves occasionally. Sophie because she was so wishy-washy and spent a lot of time running away from what she was working so hard on getting. Jake because he denied being ready for a mate for so long that he was almost out of control by the end.

That being said, I still really enjoyed reading this story. These authors have a way of making me care what happens to their characters. I liked the secondary characters also and can't wait to read the story about Jake's father and Sophie's best friend. I'm not sure if that story is ever going to come out though so I'm glad that this story has a HEA ending and did not have a cliffhanger ending!!

I would recommend it to people who really enjoy werewolf stories just because they are werewolf stories. It is a lighthearted fun read and I will be getting more of Lynn's books. If mistakes make you crazy though, steer clear.

I didn't buy the romance at all. I didn't give two figs for the heroine and even less for the hero. There was nothing romantic or seductive about their scenes together, no build up. It was pretty rough and tumble - not in the yummy, sexy way, but more in the awkward, uncomfortable, I am questioning if this is all totally consensual way. The way the hero talked to the heroine in one sex scene totally left me cold. He bulldozes through her protests and starts talking to her in what I assume was supposed to be "dirty talk", but it just seemed gross and inappropriate. Since he's a werewolf, he wants to claim her as his mate, to mark her. He doesn't tell her he's going to bite her. He doesn't tell her he's going to bite her hard enough to draw blood, or that he is going to partially shift during all this - claws and teeth and glowing eyes. He just does it. And she doesn't freak out or get angry! It's like it's a non-issue, even though she wasn't expecting it and she didn't really believe him when he told her he was a wolf. I just didn't enjoy this one, though it is by far not the worst shifter romance I have read. But I was hoping for better when I picked it up. I wasted a dollar and an hour's reading time.

Quick, light, and steamy

I enjoyed this quicky shifter romance . Sophie has the host for the big bad boss man, who just so happens to also be the big bad wolf too. She can't image a day when a successful, sexy man like Jake would ever have the host for a big girl like her. Little does she know, Jake not only has the host for her , but also senses his mate in her. With a little help from a best friend and a concerned father, the two are thrown together until neither can ignore their connection.

As the story progressed, about 70% in, the # of typos kind of became ridicules, so prepare yourself for that little frustration.

All Romance Ebooks is having a 50% rebate sale for Cyber-Monday so I took the opportunity to pick up some new reads.

This is normally $2.99 and clocks in at 49 pages. There's basically little relationship development as the plot centers around the Fated Mate Syndrome. There were also typos galore and the author could have benefited from a particularly ruthless editor. Despite all that, I don't think this was a bad book. There was definite potential here that just never fully materialized. I also picked up Richards's Leader of the Pack; I'll be interested to see if it's any better.

I read three of Lynn's shifter stories now and this one is my favorite. I think what set it apart for me was the side story of Jake's father. It was fun to see the father and son interact and to see that them both head towards happiness. I also really enjoyed the friendship between Sophie and her slightly pushy (ok very focused on her end game) roommate and best friend. Throw a hot romance into the mix and I was glued to my kindle. If you like stories with hot alpha shifters, spunky females who are not your typical model size, and steamy romance then this one is probably for you.

I enjoyed this book and loved Jake's meddlesome father taking enjoyment from his son's torment! Jake is a definite alpha but he has a sweet side too though it comes out is a very alpha way, like wanting to feed her but coming out a bit too harshly with his comment, though to be fair with her self-esteem issues Sophie did misinterpret his words and intentions a lot!
I love that towards the end, while she doesn't quite love herself and her body yet, thanks to Jake, she's learning to!

Hubba hubba, this book.. Oompf! I loved it!

Sophie's plump and curvy, she's not confident with her body. But she falls for her bestfriend's boss, Jake, and her bestfriend support her to go after him. Not that she know that Jake loves her too. The thing is, he's not a human, he's a wolf.

I looooooved it! I just loved it. Jake's overwhelming and I loved it! The first Lynn Richards's book I've read and I'm eager to read more!

The spelling and grammar were an issue. I am not at all a grammar snob(hell, my grammar is appalling!!) but I must have gotten a unedited version because there were a lot, which was an annoying distraction. Overall it was a good read and I did like it. Definitely would've liked for it to be longer. Hopefully, there's a sequel in the works??

I think this was an ok short story, but I hate to read books with BBW heroines that hate their bodies. I wish that Sophie had more confidence in herself. Why did her "beautiful" skinny friend have to be the one to set up the romance? All plus sized women do not hate their bodies and some of us are actually confident.

This book is a fun, light read. I loved every page of it! Sophie and Jake are so cute together. I couldn't stop smiling while reading this.

Sophie been in love with her boss since she saw him half naked. She is determined to get in bed with him even for one night. But she doesn't know that Jake is her mate and as much as in love with her.

Just imagine knowing who your mate was and not wanting to commit. Good thing she has friend and her bosses dad on her side.
