The best TOEFL book. Easy to understand. I recommend this book, if you want to start to learn TOEFL.

It is good for practicing general English, but I sadly discovered that it is outdated compared to the new TOEFL format. Since I’ve been using other materials, I can say that the listening and reading sections are much easier than in the current test, and the structure is not useful at all because it has changed completely. It’s good for practice, but not enough for the TOEFL in 2025.

I used Longman Guide some time ago and it seemed to work well due to a well-organized content and enriching amount of vocabulary. It seemed to provide the content which is relatively close to the real test that you may face. Notably, enclosed with each reading section you can find vocabulary or word list as well. The writing part of Longman provided samples and models as well, so you can refer to them for your pursuit. I advise you to consider Longman Guide if you want to perform on this test with satisfaction, or improve your proficiency in general.
