Roman poet Virgil, also Vergil, originally Publius Vergilius Maro, composed the Aeneid, an epic telling after the sack of Troy of the wanderings of Aeneas.
“Maius opus moveo.” As much as we moderns like the dramatic qualities of the first half, the second really is the fulfillment of the epic. Commentary not as helpful this time, but probably because I need something aimed a little lower. Book 9 will be in a green-and-yellow, so maybe that will help.
