An emotionally charged psychological thriller that will leave fans breathless as they bear witness to the lengths a wife will go to honor her vows. An addictive page turner for fans of twisty plots in the same vein of Colleen Hoover’s Verity .
Perfect wife… Perfect life… until you can’t remember either.
The moment Dante Williams wakes up on the side of the road, unsure of where he is or who he is, his life changes for the worse. After a brief stay in the hospital, Dante is released to the care of his loving wife, Sade. Sade is beautiful, successful, and loyal. So loyal, she devotes herself to Dante indefinitely, hoping this will help him appreciate what he has—his life and his wife.
While seemingly having it all, their perfect marriage isn’t enough to keep Dante from digging up the past in hopes of recovering his memory. It isn’t long before he begins questioning Sade’s behavior and intentions. Once secrets start to unravel, Dante is left more confused than the day following the accident.
When Dante discovers evidence of something more sinister at play, he prepares to end his marriage but learns quickly that Sade meant every word in her vows and plans to honor them, until death .

Sade did nothing wrong your honor!! She just took what was hers all along. She's a bit bananas though, and so is Imani. The only difference is, I don't like Imani one bit.
The twists were really good, and so was the storyline, I also loved the audiobook and can't wait for the next one, because of that ending...I'm glad I didn't read this when it came out, because now I only have to wait a month to see what happens next.
I had fun with this audio. It checked all the boxes — the who, what, when, where, and why. It started off a little slow, but once the momentum kicked in, the story really took off. I was literally yelling at the characters at one point 😅. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to psychological book lovers. 🧠📚
This book was good and I was determined to get through it to figure out what the hell was going on.
Even though she was a lil sinister, I liked Sade. I wanted her to be happy.
The ending kinda surprised me but had me very proud of her.
Spoiler: I still don’t understand how this was a wanted man and they never checked Vanzette. Not only did they not check Vanzette, but he was traveling, getting money out the bank, etc. Idc how many connections his cousin had, lol it just didn’t make sense to me.

The middle to me is where this book starts to take off. I was pretty dialed out until then. So, this book was on its way to a 3 star. BUT THAT ENDING THOUGH!!!!! Plot twist like a mf! And I do agree with Sade's last minute assessment, because I was screaming it the entire book! Dante looked at that phone like, "who dis fa?" Imani can go all the way to hell, and if their parents weren't already there I would suggest that they join her, but the grandparents can just scooch on in there as well. Sade needs to go sit on that lady's couch!!!! A few different ladies, just to make sure!
I didn't see anything saying that this has a sequel. I hope it doesn't. I like the way this ended. Especially since my flabber was gasted... This reminds me of a a movie you would see on back in the day Lifetime, lol... Just that messy!
What a thrilling ride! All I can say is that this is a must read. If you love Shanora Williams thrillers then you’ll love this one. Imagine being set up by your wife to take the fall for fraud and corruption. You get a heads up and leave to go to your best friend’s home who happens to be your wife’s sister to then get in a car accident and get amnesia. There were so many twist and turns in this story. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed it!
Y’all… I need a support group and a lawyer. Because this book had me screaming and pacing my room. This wasn’t a love triangle it was a battlefield. Loyalty? Tested. Love? Twisted. My sanity? SHAKEN. B.Love wrote the hell out of this book. The drama was so thick and don’t get me started on the secrets… BABY. THE SECRETS. I feel like I can’t trust anyone.
I wanted to like this story more. It was different and very messy. I was happy when the boat load of inconsistencies in the story were cleared up, mostly. See what you think.
All of that work and what did it get you Everybody got on my nerve and especially for it to end the way it did. It kept me entertained but whyyyyyy I thought I was going to get a happy result. I was rooting for Sade.
I am stunned. The twists and the craziness in this book is mind blowing. Just mind blowing and the twists continue until the very last page. So many twists that you’re going please tell me there’s more. and there’s not - it’s just The End! 🤯🤯🤯
The story: Dante is married to Imani. Sade is his best friend but she’s also Imani’s sister. It’s a triangle that’s caused much hurt to both women over the years.
Then Dante is in an accident, loses his memory and goes missing. While you think Imani would look for him she doesn’t. It’s Sade that finds him and pretends to be his wife.
Y’all the story just gets crazy from there: - there’s fraud charges for Dante and Imani’s business - there’s money laundering for a drug dealer - so much infidelity - so much double crossing - an attempted murder - several actual murders - a paternity challenge - and enough double crossing to make your head spin - yeah I said that one twice but it deserves to be mentioned again
The story takes so many turns it’s like the spin cycle in the washing machine and all you can do is hold on for the ride. I highly recommend reading this book! And then can we talk? Cause baby - THIS is a tale!

Wow, well that was the heck of a rollercoaster ride, and I was more than happy to go flying a long with it. A tribe of characters that you will either love or hate and even the one you may like may later wonder why, but you just can’t help yourself. Sounds cryptic but that is how it felt, to me anyway.
I thought the book was quite cleverly put together and the ending was a surprise which I think the author did a great job of as I was not expecting it to finish that way, UI thought I had it all worked out. I read this book in a afternoon and when I do that it means I was very entertained.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book, all opinions expressed are my own.
This author has done it again!! 🔥 I can be honest in saying I had no idea what to expect from this read after only reading the first few pages, but whatever it was I wasn’t ready 🤣😩! Sade had my mouth on the floor from the very beginning. My flabber was gasted the ENTIRE time 😱🤯 waiting for the truth to hit the fan! I got to end and just knew I had read the last few pages wrong lmbo! The author did a wonderful job of pulling the reader and keeping us engaged. If you’re looking for your next read, I highly recommend this one! Just remember that what you think is about to happen… isn’t 🤣🤭
Nothing was what I expected it to be. I tried figuring things out, but each time I thought I had it figured, something else happened. Sade was ride or die for real, but homegirl wasn’t all there. Her sister was terrible. There’s twist, turns, and lies that will keep reading to see what happens next. That ending though, was totally unexpected. Download today and read it.
3.5 This was a solid read, but the ending fell flat. The reasoning I felt didn't match the actions due to people's lives being taken to prove a point. It was a solid suspense read, though.
Now this stand alone PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER is definitely different from what I’m used to reading by this author. B. Love did very well on this one in my opinion. The twist … then ending… wow!
My jaw is on the ground!!! The ending…. I can’t believe this??!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the ending is going to have me in my thoughts for awhile
Perfect wife....Perfect Life...until you can't remember either.
This is my first read from this author, it's also her first Physiological Thriller/Romance. I think she put a good spin on both generes. It has murder, jealous and sister to sister drama all from a man, but in the end which sister will get what she wants.
This novel is incredibly messy. If you’re looking for something that will have you gasping at every turn, this is it. I love books that starts you in the middle of the mess. From the first page, I understood that Dante is in grave danger, but it appears to just be financially. It’s crazier than I could’ve expected. A financial crisis is the least of his worries.
So boom like I said, Dante’s livelihood is in jeopardy. Somebody’s trying to end his career. They successfully, pinned him as a scammer. Now, this ain’t even Dante’s style. He’s a true professional. He takes his livelihood seriously.
As far as my feelings for Sade goes, it’s very simple. Babygirl is crazy. Her picture should be posted right next to the word lunatic in the dictionary. Unfortunately, a few people learn what happens when you don’t mind your business. Or worse when you mind Sade’s business. Lord help them smh.
After reading about these characters willingness to do whatever it takes to get what they want. I don’t trust anyone. Literally, anybody is capable of anything to get what they want. I’m currently reading The Devoted Husband. I’m flabbergasted, already. Love will make you do some crazy things.
This was the craziest book about African Americans that I've ever read. Plus, there was too many missing pieces and too much left unresolved. Imani and Sade were sisters who both wanted the same man, Dante. Sade had him as a best friend and I man I had him as her husband. Their relationship was deplorable from the beginning and only got worse.
If you thought Imani was egotistical and immoral, Sade was worse, she was amoral, blaming her actions on her love and loyalty for Dante. Love doesn't cause you to lie and kill and betray everyone. In the beginning, my heart bled for Dante. However, Dante was even worse than Sade and Imani. He used them both for his own purposes. Even family members and friends weren't innocent and did nothing to help anyone. Even the grandparents had blood on their hands, no matter how much the grandmother preached what was right and moral. It's too bad that they're raising the twins. I know no Blacks that come to them, and I know some disgusting people.
I didn't like anyone in this book. The more I read, the more people I almost hated. Some actions in this book made absolutely no sense, and added nothing to the book. Even if there's a sequel, I won't read it!
This book was good but I don't understand the ending. What was the point of everything if not to keep Dante? Why in the hell did she and Dante kill Willow earlier that day if not to be together?? Shit if she was going to leave bc Dante didn't choose her years ago, then why didn't she come to thst conclusion BEFORE they offed Willow just hours before??? It doesn't make sense. She literally turned Dante into a killer and then walked away from him. Yeah right. The ending sucked. It didn't make sense. Up until that point, the book was entertaining.

A haunting exploration of devotion, deception, and the fine line between love and control.
In The Loyal Wife, B. Love delivers a suspenseful and emotionally layered story that pulls readers into the fragile world of memory and trust. When Dante wakes up from a car accident with no recollection of his past, he’s forced to rely on the woman who claims to be his wife, Sade. She’s nurturing, attentive, and seemingly perfect. But as Dante’s instincts begin to clash with the reality she presents, the cracks in their relationship and Sade’s version of the truth begin to show.
What makes this novel stand out is its psychological depth. Rather than relying solely on plot twists, B. Love builds tension through character dynamics and emotional uncertainty. Sade is written with chilling precision, her loyalty is unwavering, but it’s also unsettling. Is she a devoted partner or a master manipulator?
The pacing is deliberate, allowing readers to sit with the discomfort of not knowing who to trust. The story unfolds like a puzzle, with each chapter revealing just enough to keep you guessing, but never enough to feel safe in your assumptions.
While some secondary characters could have been developed further, the core narrative is strong and compelling. The themes of identity, control, and emotional dependency are handled with nuance, making this more than just a thriller, it’s a study in psychological entrapment.
Final Verdict: The Loyal Wife is a gripping, slow-burn thriller that lingers long after the final page. It’s perfect for readers who enjoy stories that challenge perceptions and dive deep into the complexities of human relationships.
The Loyal Wife was a suspense and thriller story that had romantic elements. Dante was a successful businessman; however, his career was in jeopardy after a fraud, corruption, and money laundering case. Between the FBI on his tail and someone working double time to eliminate him, Dante tried to turn to the one person he could trust.
The book captivated my interest from the first chapter. I could not put it down and finished reading it in hours. My favorite thing about the book was that Dante had a second chance at experiencing true love. Sade epitomized the “ride or die” phrase. The lengths she went to to protect Dante were incredible and jaw-dropping. During the flashback scenes, it was clear that Sade and Dante were soulmates. He always protected her, and that played a role in why she was so protective of him. It was evident that Dante settled by marrying someone other than Sade. Speaking of marriage, Dante’s wife had the gall to play like she was concerned, but her narcissistic tendencies caught up with her in the end. Whew!
Overall, the suspense and thriller aspects kept me on edge, and I found myself trying to predict the storyline. But, as the secrets unfolded and Dante continued to regain his memory, I quickly learned to trust the process. The book was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and twists that left me speechless. I was searching for something different to read, and the book delivered. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.
3.5 ⭐️ LW is a wildly quick and entertaining read. It's pretty unbelievable and goes off the rails at times, some things will most certainly have you screaming, "wth", why would you do that?!, "that makes no sense" but if you're looking for a story that instantly grabs you then this is thee one!
The story starts off with the MC getting a call alerting him that the FBI is on their way to apprehend him for fraud within his company. He rushes out of the building on the way to a safe place, only to be rear ended.
His wife goes to the hospital and learns that he's lost his memories. But, he doesn't have to worry. She's loyal and committed to keeping him away from all traces of his past life.
As the story progresses we learn there is more than meets the eye. There's a lot of shadiness business going on behind the scenes, a lot of plotting and scheming, manipulation and betrayals. Sounds like the white house, but no, this was based in Memphis. More characters get introduced to make the story even juicier, but it’s not overwhelming way. It’s more of, let me get my popcorn and refill my tea type of thing!
The ending came out of left field. Like, huh??! This could be seen as "job well done" for an unexpected/didn't see that coming plot twist, or "bruhhh" for being so completely out of character...it defintely sets the scene for a part 2.
I was on the road while listening to this and needed something to capture my attention and keep me engaged for a while and this got the job done. So, for that, it was just what I needed!
Summary 📚Dante received some information that he could not believe…his wife is stealing from their company and trying to set him up.
Experience 🤔 I am a B.Love fan, I have read many of her books and really enjoy her writing style. Her MMC’s are always Alpha, protectors and providers. They are fierce lovers and play no games about “The One”. Dante has those characteristics, his loyalty to his wife hindered his ability to believe she was out to get him.
B.Love always has an element of suspense in her stories, this title was centered around it with a sprinkle of romance. I was disappointed about the lack of passion, but understood that having amnesia played a role in it. When Dante and Sade navigated to intimacy it was not a vivid depiction that we normally receive from B. Love.
Sade had me convinced that she was psychotic, but now I’m realizing that she was desperate…to save her friend.
Imani was a whole selfish hot mess and absolutely deserved everything she lost. I still don’t trust her.
Patrice, Trina, and Willow definitely found out they should have minded their business.
The end of the story has me feeling like it is a cliff hanger, but is it? Like why would Sade do that?
I have more questions than answers, one suspense was solved but another was created.
