As the police desperately try to track him down, Laurie, along with her family, prepares to face her murderous nemesis one more time in a confrontation 40 years in the making…

The making of this much-anticipated movie trilogy is covered in fascinating detail in this official companion book. The creative processes behind the stunts, costumes, production design and make-up effects are revealed through interviews with the cast and crew, while captivating on-set photography captures the shooting of the key scenes and action set-pieces. A must for all horror fans, Halloween 2018–2022: The Official Making of the Films reveals the method behind the terror.

A detailed look at the final Halloween trilogy (2018-2022) of films featuring the ultimate evil, Michael Myers.
There are a huge amount of interviews with cast & crew, showing their genuine enthusiasm for the films, as well as some superb behind the scenes photographs. Having recently watched the trilogy again this was a great companion to these classic horror films.

This is really just fluff if you’re already a fan of the franchise and have done any level of research on it before. 100% just a coffee table book you’re probably not actually supposed to read.

For anyone who enjoyed the most recent trilogy of Halloween films, this book should have been of interest. The book covers all three films: Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends and includes some excellent photos showing the cast and crew and some of the gruesome makeup effects. However, the text is formed from a series of interviews and is made up of a lot of quotes from cast and crew which failed to tell the story of the making of these films in any coherent manner. In fact, for the first two films, it was just a mess, with quotes from this character, that actor, a crew-member, etc, making it very disjointed, with no clear path through the film-making process. The text for the third film was a marginal improvement.
If you get this book for the photographs, you won't be disappointed. But if you get it to find out how the films were made, you probably will be.

I’m sure it helps being a fan of the films, but loved the chronological look at the making of this trilogy, and all the behind the scenes photos.

It's got enough gory pictures to make this a cool coffee table book to gross out your family with during the holidays, but it's basically an overly expensive press kit. While on the book about the making of the Friday the 13th films, there were some critical notes - about part 4 director Joseph Zito, the lack of New York in part 8 - in this book about Halloween, the writer acts like the three films are God's gift to humankind (which they're not).

A couple of weird things as well. What an 'a.d.s.' is during the making of a film is not explained; they still keep talking about home video in the area of DVD, Bluray and streaming; on page X they talk about 'one of the few locations' and next on page Y they talk about 'we shot in many locations'.

Well, 3* because it's a nice book to look at the pictures.

Very interesting look at the production of the 3 films and the creative choices they made or almost made.

Great souvenir movie book for a very misunderstood trilogy. Nothing particularly new in the text but visually the book is aces with glossy BTS pics a-plenty.
