I knew there was anguish ahead of me and yet I still wasn’t prepared.

A year removed from the ending of The Seduction of Pretty Lies, both Frankie and Olly have moved on. But not really. Their pain is palpable, visible to anyone who looks closely enough. In spite of their heartbreak, they’re each doing their best to move forward, putting one foot in front of the other.

“…me wanting him was the only real truth that I knew. Everything else felt like I was faltering, pretending, guessing my way through life…”

Despite distance and circumstances, their love for one another was unwavering. Yet they were terrified to give in, but unable to let go. This constant push and pull between Olly and Frankie is all too relatable making their story that much more heartbreaking.

“I knew that I wouldn’t be able to get over this girl. She wasn’t the kind of girl you ever got past. She was the one that haunted you in your dreams, the one you compared to everyone else to, the one who felt like she was a lifetime ago but still within arms reach all at once.“

Holly Renee has pulled so many emotions from me along Olly and Frankie’s journey. I knew getting there wasn’t going to be easy, but the conclusion to this story was everything I could have hoped for. My heart took a beating from the very first page and it was worth every single tear.

This story was just not for me. It was very well written (hence the 3.5 stars), but I felt like the whole story revolves around unnecessary drama. Because who would truly pick a friend over someone who was the love of their life? Who wouldn’t tell their friend to just get over themselves? I found it difficult to even like Ollie and his inability to nut up 🤷🏻‍♀️. Then two more people are dragged into their drama llama ding dong and have their time wasted and their emotions, devastated. It was a train wreck we saw coming from the moment it left the station. Just a big ole nope for me.

The truth is that I wasn't prepared for this story!!!
I wasn't prepared for the heartbreak and the anguish that Frankie and Olly would offer me!!!
I have loved the previous couples very much, but this one is my most favorite!!!
Honestly, I thought that I knew where this story will lead us and I thought that it would be kind of normal and boring, but god, I was so darn wrong!!!
This duet had hurt me so much, but I have to admit that it was the best finale for this series!!!'

Frankie is running away from Olly because she is afraid to place her heart into his hands after he denied her... Olly is trying to get over her, but even though he had put many miles between them, she is still living into his heart and mind and she is refusing to vanish from there!!!
The seasons are passing by, their lives are moving on, but their hearts still want what they had to abandon...

Frankie and Olly was devastatingly beautiful in here!!!
They made my heart beat wildly and I was cursing them for letting each other slip away from their fingers... These two belonged together, but they did so many mistakes that brought upon them only heartbreak!!!
I was in such a wild state of mind that I stayed up all night reading in order to feel some kind of redemption after all these heartache that these two were making me feel!!!

I loved reading Clermont Bay's boys and girls' stories!!!
It was a magnificent ride that started with Beck and Josie, continued with Carson and Allie and it had finished with the best way...
Olly and Frankie had conquered my heart and even though their behavior hurt me very badly, their ending had put the missing pieces together!!! It was such a beautiful story!!!!

The hardest fought Clermont Bay love story is also the most rewarding in the end, at long last the couple that stole my heart from the very beginning find the end of their messy love story. But Frankie and Olly do make it easy. So much heartbreak, drama, and longing! Hang on tight, Holly brought all the angst and feelings for this finale!

The Temptation of Dirty Secrets picks up right where The Seduction of Pretty Lies leaves off. Frankie is back home, and Olly is left reeling after Frankie's departure. Both aren’t ready to let the other go but know that they must in order to become independent and strong. A year passes and although it looks like both Olly & Frankie have moved on – that couldn’t be further from the truth. From the late-night phone calls, to hanging on to every word mentioned of the other person's name, Holly has crafted an angsty, emotionally charged, forbidden story of longing, heartbreak, grief, and healing. Will Frankie ever be able to really move on and forgive Olly for not choosing her when she needed it most? And will Olly finally fight for what he wants or is the fear of losing Frankie not once but possibly twice keeping him away and thus forcing him to make even more reckless decisions?

Holly made me ache and sob unconsolably, but the build up to that final HEA was so worth all the struggles to get there. I can’t believe this is the end of the Clermont Series, what a bittersweet ending but it couldn’t have been better! 🤍

I don’t even know what to say.

I’m still on a rollercoaster of emotions I’ve never experienced so strongly like now!

I don’t this words will make justice to what I just read. The only way to understand what I’m talking about is to experience it on your skin.

This story literally stole my breath away. I’m just too stunned to speak.

I couldn’t wish for a better end.

Frankie and Olly’s story will make you feel all kind of emotions. At first you’ll be angry, than sad , than happy and hopeful for just a second and then everything will fall apart.

“But she was the most beautiful kind of madness.She was a thunderstorm, loud and passionate and so destructive, but on the days when the rain disappeared, I missed her even harder.”



The chemistry, the passion and the sexual tension are definitely off the charts.

I won’t spoiler anything but I’ll tell you this: it’s gonna be a slow and long run so buckle up and enjoy!

The Temptation of Dirty Secrets by Holly Renee is the emotional conclusion to Olly and Frankie's storming romance. This story contains some of my all time favourite tropes like new adult and brother's best friend and enemies/friends to lovers. So it was a good story to pick up.

Olly has always protected and loved his best Friend's sister Frankie. Specially when she was recovering from a traumatic experience. They have feelings for each other but Olly chose his friend over Frankie and she decided she won't let Olly so much power over her heart. He has moved to California for college and baseball and Frankie is in Clermont Bay. The distance has not diminished the intensity of emotions. Even when they are trying to love other people.


This whole story was a game of back and forth and push and pull. Frankie and Olly spent all the time trying to forget their feelings and the way they tried to do it , they only end up hurting each other and other people. Those people didn't deserve the pain and heartbreak, no matter how much confused and torn Frankie and Olly were. There is no cheating. Just emotional pain.There were moments those made me break for Frankie and Olly. But at the end, I was getting tired of them acting so stubborn and impulsive. Frankie definitely grew up and became a fierce girl in spite of her trauma. But Olly was her weakness and she gave in to her feels over and over again. Olly is not your usual bad boy jock. He is sincerely one of the good guys with some bad-ish charm. Again, I did not like the way he used another person to forget about Frankie. A lot of misunderstanding were going on. And I started to feel that we are going in a circle. But ar the end, they decided to accept their feelings and it was finally a happy ending.

Honestly, I was too scared to read this book after loving The Seduction of Pretty Lies so much, and didn't know where Holly Renee would lead their story , but the ending of Olly & Frankie was more than perfect for both: heartbreaking, full of love and one that made me love this series much more.

Reading the end of the Olly & Frankie story broke my heart a lot and was really heartbreaking: both make bad decisions along the way and are forced to face the consequences. Frankie is afraid of her feelings for Olly, her heart is broken after Olly's inability to choose her, and all she wants is to protect herself from further suffering, and although it was very sad and frustrating to read her mistakes, I think that with all her choices she shows, once again, how strong she is and what a beautiful heart she has, without a doubt she will always be my favorite Holly Renee's girl and I will miss her so much.

On the other hand, reading Olly was much more frustrating, although I fully understand why he does what he does at all times, I couldn't help but get angry every time he made bad decisions and everything was more complicated for both of them because of it. However, I loved the drama it created towards the end of the book, I think it was an amazing plot twist after the heartbreak of the situation.

Also, I loved reading Carson being an awesome friend again, Josie being the best, and Beck behaving in a totally unexpected way. I will definitely miss them, they were an amazing group, just like this series and each of their stories.

Holly Renee is Incredible! Olly is EVERYTHING!!

This duet! This author! This entire series, INCREDIBLE! Each couple in the series, Beck & Josie, Carson & Allie and swoony as all heck Olly & Frankie are amazing, entertaining and 3 couples I could not get enough of!!! 💕

But Olly and Frankie hits you hard! Two people who love each other so much, but resist the pull at every chance! But when I say this is Holly at her best, I mean it, because she puts you through every emotion possible even just in this story alone. I love every Holly book she has ever written. I’ve read all but 2 (which are up next to read). Her writing grabs your attention from page one. She is fun, entertaining and extra steamy!

Frankie is amazing, smart and protects her heart better than any character I have read. The magnetism between her and Olly is wonderful. Yet they resist and resist. Olly I want to hug, shake, and hug again. He loves Frankie but lets her call the shots. I respect and am angry at him for this. But in this book, he goes through so much. These two truly are fire together. They were so fun to read. I laughed, cried and smiled ear to ear! This duet is a must devour! I loved each couple in this series but Olly and Frankie were my favorite! Swoon, devour and enjoy the fun!

Review: This is book 2 in the duet about Olly and Frankie, and the final book in The Boys of Clermont Bay series. There are 6 books in the series and a duet based on each of the 3 couples. Book 5 ended on a cliffhanger so I couldn't wait for them to get their HEA. I can't believe this series is over. I remember when Holly first announced it and I was so excited. Now it's over.😔

"I was searching for the girl that I felt like I had loved half my life."

Olly and Frankie definitely ripped my heart out with this one. This was definitely an emotional story. These two knew just what to do to bring me to tears. Thankfully Holly did put my poor heart back together after a thorough work out. This couple stole my heart in book 1 and I have been rooting for them ever since. Now it's book 6 and it's finally their chance for their HEA. I wanted to yell at them a few times and smack them around. Both so afraid of getting hurt again which was who their characters were at the core. If you are in the mood for some spice, then Olly is your man. This man's dirty talk is to notch! I just want more of them. I REALLY hope we get an Extended Epilogue for these two as well as for the whole series. I need to know! Plus I NEED an update on all 3 couples!🥰 I loved this series!

First, let me just start off by saying that every girl needs an Olly Warner!

There were times reading this that I was internally screaming at him and Frankie for their stubbornness (and Beck for being his overprotective self), but I am so glad that they accepted their feelings for each other at the end. With that being said, I SO badly wanted to give this five stars but the ending just wasn't enough for me.

I patiently waited for the last book of the series in the hopes that there would be a time-jump chapter or epilogue, but sadly there wasn't. I just felt like the book ended to abruptly after Frankie and Olly finally got together. It would have been nice to see if they had gotten married, had any children or what Olly ended up doing for a career. Did baseball ever come back into play for him? Did he wind up working for Frankie's dad? I just feel like a final book (or even a few chapters) in the future for all of the six characters collectively would've been a nice way to end the series. But, don't get me wrong, I still consider it one of my favorites!

The Temptation of Dirty Secrets concludes Frankie & Olly's story and the final book in the Boys of Clermont Bay series. The last book in the series was everything I didn't know I needed. The angst between Frankie and Olly is at an all-time high as the two are trying to figure out if they are finally moving on from each other. Will they be able to remain friends? Can they rekindle the relationship after all the hurt? Or is it time to cut all ties and start a new life with someone else? I devoured this book in one sitting—a great conclusion to the series.

Olly and Frankie are my favorite out of this series their story is everything! The longing these two felt for each other the emotions the passion this story definitely gave me all the feels and the character growth for both of them but especially Frankie was amazing. The chemistry between them was undeniable these two were definitely it for each other ! Their story was filled with so much angst my poor heart I wasn’t sure if I’d survive and talk about swooning over Olly I absolutely adore him and his dirty mouth ! This was definitely everything I anticipated it would be and more definitely my favorite of this series I’m sad that it’s over but I’m satisfied with how it ended!

I had such high hopes for this book. Frankie and Olly's 1st book was my absolute favorite in this series. Their second book fell short. It was a short book in general and I read it in one sitting. The story ended okay, not great or even good. The drama was pretty much non-existent. The story was rushed. It was like Holly Renee just wanted to get it done with. Which I don't really blame her, but with this being the last book (or so I think?), You'd think she'd want this one to go out with a bang. I'm still disappointed in the ending. There was no closure.

Frustratingly Fantastic, Tantalizingly Torturous, and Heartbreaking as much as was heart-healing, this conclusion to Olly and Frankie’s story was unputdownable, and unforgettable. An unbelievable mix of angst and agony to my heart, but one that I would willingly subject myself to over and over again. The story that started unfolding by dropping little hints from the very beginning of The Boys of Clermont Bay series, showed us that something was always there between Olly and Frankie. Those little nuggets Holly Renee had been planting had me jonesing (and not always so patiently) for their time to tell their story and let me tell y’all. It.Was.So.Worth.The.Wait. 

I spent a big portion of this book torn between wanting to climb inside my kindle and smack Olly and Frankie upside the heads and knocking some sense into them-and then the other parts enabling every ounce of restraint I possessed to ensure I didn’t chuck my kindle at the wall out of frustration, because they spent so much time apart.Time that maybe they shouldn’t have had to. If only…

But truly in their times apart they both grew and learned things in their own way. They had different views on what they were and what they could become. They both grew and matured on their own, but in totally different ways. Frankie had realized what she truly deserves in her life and that was the only thing she was going to settle for going forward in her life. Olly finally realized what he needed to do to be the man Frankie deserves and prioritized his life accordingly.

While it was gut wrenching for these two characters as well as it was for me being so invested in their journey, I knew it was essential that they traveled those bumps and turns along the way to get to the place where they were truly meant to be. And that place was PERFECT!! 

I can’t say enough about not only this duet but this entire series. If you haven’t started it, there is no better day that TODAY!! If you have been following all along then grab this phenomenal conclusion that was years in the making. Pour you some wine, 🍷 grab a bar of dark chocolate, 🍫 and a box tissues and get ready for an emotionally beautiful read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m just a girl with an incurable Boys of Clermont Bay crush, basking in the biggest emotional book coma, not ready for this story and one of my favorite series to be over. The Temptation of Dirty Secrets was my undoing! I wholeheartedly loved this romance! I’m not ready to let Beck, Josie, Carson, Allie, Blaise, Olly, and Frankie go. This story and series stole my heart and stamped my soul from the very first page. I can’t love this story, this series, these characters and their powerful journey enough.

The Temptation of Dirty Secrets and every beautifully broken book in The Boys of Clermont Bay series is worth all the stars, a lifetime romance and series that will stay with me forever.

Oh my gosh this book broke my heart and soul over and over again. Just when I thought I couldn't possibly feel anymore pain from these two, BAM, I was smacked over the head with their delicious angst. There were so many times I wanted to shake the both of them, and some decisions that they made (especially regarding their significant others) made me so mad, but underneath it all I understood it. They had so much work to do on themselves before they could ever really be together, and good lord. The pain was on every single page -- it was just raw. That's the only way I can describe it. Holly took two characters that are meant to be with each other in purest form, but their own decisions send them in a world of hurt, showcasing the ugly downfalls love can bring.

Seeing Olly and Frankie dance around their feelings for years was torture, but I did enjoy that Frankie realized their love grew toxic and she needed to stand on her own before she could ever be with him. And Olly, well, he needed to actually choose her above everything else and the fact that he didn't broke their already fragile foundation. They both grew so much in their time apart, and you could still very much *feel* their love for one another, even when they couldn't actually be together.

It's no secret that this book made me cry so much, to the point where my husband was legitimately worried, lol, but this was pain in the best of ways. These two are hands down the best couple in the series!

My only complaint is that I wish we got to see what their happy ever after looked like a bit more. The majority of this book was them fighting their way back to each other, and then it was basically over. That being said this is still very much worth the read. Just stock up on tissues before hand!!

Did I go to bed intending on reading this for an hour, yes. Did I quickly realise that wasn’t going to happen and stayed up until 3am to finish it, yes I did! And not one regret was had!

This story cut me up! So bad! The angst, the tension, it had me hooked!

We fast forward one year from the ending of the previous book (make sure you have read that before this one) and Frankie is hiding her heartbreak with partying and drinking, unable to move on and I felt this pain along with her. She put on a brave face but was silently still aching for the boy she couldn’t have. Olly has also moved on, but still has the same ache for Frankie.

What surprised me most was Olly and how much he wanted Frankie. He was ready to confess and tell Beck that he loved Frankie, regardless of what it would do to their friendship, although, Frankie kept him at arm's length, not being able to trust him again for never picking her first. I so wanted to strangle Frankie at times and just tell her to open her heart to Olly, ha! He was a dream.

This book brought out all my emotions, it was so raw, I felt everything along with them, especially their pain. The heartbreak, the longing and the need for each other was insane, yet, they couldn’t do anything about it.

This series has been amazing, start to finish and I can’t believe we are at the end. Olly and Frankie’s journey playing out throughout the series to finally get the HEA. The anguish was worth it and as I said at the beginning, I devoured this read and could not put it down. I will miss these guys and this amazing series.

Olly and Frankie’s story was built on friendship turned to attraction gained speed by chemistry and then they ended up hurting each other. Now we pick up the pieces of our shattered hearts to see where they stand now. As they know they both broke and are still breaking each other’s hearts they know deep down their love will never fade but they hurt each other too much now they have to TRY to move forward in their lives without each other. Frankie’s heart is shattered, Olly’s heart is shattered but they keep trying to let each other go, it’s a lot easier said than done. We get to see their college years apart in this book how they both have someone else TRYING, yet when push comes to shove they crave the other. I don’t want to spoil things because man so much happens that will break your heart, steal your breath, and kill your soul. I will say though as reading and knowing this is all happening to you that the author is slowly putting the pieces of the reader back. Now that I can breathe a little easier I have to say out of this series Olly and Frankie’s story was the hardest, most emotional, yet so so satisfying of them. Now excuse me as I go back for an emotional re-read. (Sidenote: anyone else wanna slap Jordan?? No just me? Ok lol)

"We had been each other's secrets, and she deserved to be my truth."

Super-angsty read. So emotional and so hot - even though I didn't really get why they couldn't be together and, therefore, felt really frustrated with the characters. I still had to give it 5 stars because the story was so well-executed.

"Olly had hurt me, but I had hurt him so much more."

God, I felt so sorry for Olly! I really thought Frankie punished him for far too long over one error in judgement, and I was glad that she recognise her part in the how things played out. Even though she understood all his reasons for why he chose her brother's friendship, she still hung on to that one thing that had hurt her. I found the whole thing really aggravating because, come on! Give the guy a break!! I was firmly Team Olly. Even though I was immensely frustrated (and, yeah, the frustration nearly killed me! LOL), as the story progressed, I've got to hand it to the author for delivering a well-written story full of emotion, angst, and panty-melting steaminess!

I normally can’t do books where the MMC is “in love” with another woman than the FMC. Especially when they are engaged. Idk why it’s just a hard thing for me, not my type of angst. With that being said, just because it’s not my thing doesn’t mean this book was any less amazing. If you like this trope then you’ll LOVE this duet. The pain, the angst, the heartbreak is all there. Please note if OW drama or love triangle type books aren’t your thing then this may bring you more pain then happiness. Yes the HEA is so worth the journey BUT I understand the struggle with this trope. This book was hard for me to get through because Holly put me through it but I wanted these two to get their HEA.

The main plot for this book does center around the struggle Olly has with still feeling things for Frankie while being engaged/in love with another woman. The secrets, the lies, the choices that are made…. rough.

I do recommend this duet & even though I don’t normally like this trope, I did end up loving this couple. You can see that Olly never really stopped loving Frankie & that’s probably what saved it for me. As a reader I’ve come to accept that sometimes romance stories are messy. They aren’t perfect, they involve falling in & out of love, the can include loving other people who may not be your person. But the whole point is finding your way back to your true love. That’s what Frankie & Olly’s story is. Getting lost & finding each other again🖤

What a perfect ending to the Boys of Clermont Bay series! Olly and Frankie’s second book is so emotional! I was so torn while reading this one! They are both so I love with one another and think that it is wrong. So consumed by what they think is right for everyone else but themselves, so they push each other away. But the saying “distance makes the heart grow fonder” really plays a part on their story! No matter how much time passes, no matter how many miles are between them, and no matter what other people come into their lives, they will never truly be over one another. This one is a beautiful, devastating love story and one that will slowly break your heart! Buy in true Holly Renee form, she pieces it back together better than before! True love always wins out in the end!

The conclusion to Frankie and Olly's story is here and I was not freaking ready.

The Temptation of Dirty Secrets will take you on a ride of angst filled goodness, explosive chemistry, a connection like no other which if you've read the previous couples duets then you'll know that it's a connection they've always had, only it's turned in to one they can no longer ignore and now they're both paying for it.

"It has always been you." *sigh* be still my heart.

Holly has once again given us a story that is beautifully written about two broken souls that try to fight the magnetic pull they both feel, Frankie and Olly were always meant to be together. I'm not ready to say goodbye to this series and move on. I highly recommend this entire series.

I want to start by saying, I can't believe I cruised through this series in 4 days. If you take one thing away from my reviews of this series, it is that it is fast paced and highly bingeable. I love Holly Renee's writing style.

What I enjoyed:
👉 Olly's protectiveness over Frankie
👉 I felt what the characters felt — which was very, very annoyed and frustrated
👉 Swoon worthy quotes

Where things could have been better / what other readers may struggle with:
👉 Character's felt wishy washy, at times
👉 There is cheating (emotional + physical) in this book, which felt very unnecessary
👉 Same feedback as before — lots of miscommunication and push/pull that could've been cut back
👉 Timeline jumps felt a little wonky

Oh my what an ending. I was so nervous after that cliffhanger but Holly did an amazing job finishing this story. It was so bittersweet saying bye to this series and group of characters that I've grown to love, but I think it was the perfect ending.

Ollie and Frankie prove why they are meant to be together. Their chemistry was even more palable in this installment and the angst was everything. I loved how it was both hurtful angst but sweet angst. Their story wasn't easy but I think the journey they took showed why they are meant to be.
