Fiercely loyal, Danny will do anything for his best friend and lover Paul. Yet when he turns to beautiful Mistress Circe for training to be a Pro-Dom Danny is forced to learn how deep his love for Paul really goes. In order to train with her Circe expects Danny to do the one thing he hates above all others...submit.

Reader Advisory: This story visits the dark side of BDSM, where the only thing more intense than the scenes the characters participate in, is the love they have for one another.

A freckle-faced redhead born and raised in Hawaii, Kele Moon has always been a bit of a sore thumb and has come to enjoy the novelty of it. She thrives on pushing the envelope and finding ways to make the impossible work in her story telling. With a mad passion for romance, she adores the art of falling in love. The only rules she believes in is that, in love, there are no rules and true love knows no bounds.

So obsessed is she with the beauty of romance and the novelty of creating it, she’s lost in her own wonder world most of the time. Thankfully she married her own dark, handsome, brooding hero who has infinite patience for her airy ways and attempts to keep her grounded. When she leaves her keys in the refrigerator or her cell phone in the oven, he’s usually there to save her from herself. The two of them now reside in Florida with their three beautiful children, who make their lives both fun and challenging in equal parts—they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Fuck me anyway you want, Danny Boy. Use me. That's what I'm here for."

Oh Danny boy, how I've missed you. So much so, that I savored this book as much as I could. See I have a sentimental attachment to this series. Beyond Eden was the very first book I read by Kele Moon and what ultimately began my obsession appreciation of her work.

First of all, if you're planning on reading this as a standalone: STOP. Don't do yourself or the story a disservice and read it in order. While the release dates show one thing, the recommended reading order per the story's timeline is this:
1. Finding Eden- Danny & Paul
2. Claiming Eden- Danny & Paul
3. Beyond Eden- Danny, Paul & Eve

Claiming Eden is not quite a romance. That will come in Beyond Eden. Claiming Eden is the continuation of Danny and Paul's growth as a couple and individuals. If you didn't love Danny boy before (which is basically impossible), you'll seriously fall for him here.

This is more about Danny's journey than about Paul's. It's Danny's struggle to be a true Master to Paul, who he considers the love of his life. He doesn't know how to deal with Paul's desires for pain. He's terrified that he doesn't know when a line is crossed because Paul truly has no hard limits when it comes down to it. Danny will do anything for Paul, so he seeks out a professional Domme to train him. Only problem is the Domme, Circe, is none too eager to take him on.

Danny is struggling with his role as a Dom/Master. Paul is struggling with his sexuality and his very strict family while he's still in college. And Danny and Paul together? *pervy shiver* Yeah. It's hot as hell. If there's one thing that Kele Moon can write, it's one hell of a hot love scene. But this book is so much more than just hot sex. It's emotional, it's truly a multifaceted journey. The writing is sensual with a touch of taboo and it hit every single one of my yes boxes.

I loved the addition of Circe and Jason in this one, even though I was desperate for more details on them. I would have loved more of that, but it also would have distracted from the rest of the story, so I can see why it was the way it was.

I'm almost sad to see this series come to an end. As I started with Beyond Eden, it was like going back in time to see how all of this began. I think I would have loved to read it in timeline order, so that's the recommendation I'd make to readers that haven't read these books yet. It does have a somewhat heavy element of BDSM in terms of Paul and Danny's kinks, but it doesn't go too much into detail as to make someone that's not comfortable with heavy BDSM have issues. It's just enough to entice.

Spoiler Ahead Read at Your Own Risk
I was so excited when Ms. Kele gave a release date for this book. I love reading about Danny Boy Paul Guy and Evie Girl that I couldn't wait to read this book. Although this was book three in this series I read book two first and I am re reading book one. Danny was willing to do anything for Paul he is a masochistic to the extreme due to his up bring his father beat him. This book had me falling in love with Danny all over again he would do anything to not only protect Paul but his friends also like Melissa and Denise when he beat the guys up that raped Melissa. Although Danny grew up rich he hated his father and did things to make him mad and I loved how he got the lake house. The doctor that helps him stitches up Paul Jason introduces Danny to a Domme Circe and although she says no to training Danny he continued to show up and she agrees to train him only if he submits to her. Although their first scene makes him mad he knows that he needs help or he risk hurting Paul or him going to someone else. I also realized that I think he knows that it's the only way he can be with Paul. The sex scenes in this book are hot as always. I really wanted the book to continue to get into his days of being a pro Dom like Circe. This book was well written like the other books in this series with no errors in grammar or spelling. The epilogue in this book is was very interesting it was clear that Circe and Jason have history and I would have loved to read about it. I would be very interested in reading more about Circe. IF you love reading dark BDSM then I recommend that you read this series. This was a really good book and a good series although they are out of order book 2 should be read first than book 3 and book 1 last.

“He won’t hurt her. He doesn’t know how to hurt her.”

*This CANNOT be read as a standalone* – You must read Beyond Eden then Claiming Eden followed by Finding Eden in order to read the series as intended and get the full benefit of an incredible series that will touch every part of your heart. The Eden series is hard to read but it’s fundamentally emotionally driven meaning aspects of the story become secondary to the mental and emotional torment of love and the self.

“I want him to be proud of me.”

“Your father is not a role model. He’s an abuser who beat a little boy so hard for so long he grew up thinking the only way to be loved is to have the shit kicked out of him.”

We read this series years ago yet still remember it with aching hearts and tears in our eyes. So, to say we were apprehensive yet eager to start reading Claiming Eden is an understatement. Paul, Danny and Eve have owned our hearts ever since we met them; their story so heart breaking, passionate and unusually romantic. Their journey is not easy rather it is fraught with pain and searing love. So many tears!

Danny loves Paul with all his heart and he knows he’ll never get that love and tenderness completely returned as Paul wants him to carry on and emulate a childhood indoctrination of pain equals love.

‘Devoted slave and loyal best friend was as close as they would ever get.’

Again, the story of Paul broke our hearts once more as much as it did the first time. We absolutely have no doubts at all that Paul loves Danny, but the nature of his love does not necessarily mirror Danny’s love for Paul and this is so fucking sad. The lengths Danny goes to in order to protect, love and keep Paul safe is heart-breaking. Danny boy craves and ultimately needs the softness and tenderness to make up for the unbearable pain giving yet his necessary struggle and incessant want to be what Paul needs makes his sacrifice so much more evident. Paul and Danny – best friends from childhood; their love is immeasurable yet heartbreakingly unalike.

‘He lost Paul in those tender moments when Danny wanted to hold him instead of hurt him. Love him instead of insult him.’

We hope with all our hearts that Kele Moon decides to write more which takes us to the time after Beyond Eden. Claiming Eden opened up old wounds from when we read this series last and the only healing grace would be more from Paul, Danny and Eve.

I first added this book June 2012 and have anxiously waiting for a date ever since and thought that i would never read about the early years in Danny and Paul's relationship. It was worth the wait but at the same time i wanted a little bit more maybe after Danny was trained more. I really hope Kele Moon writes more in this series without another huge wait and i would love another book with Eve.

11/11/15 FINALLY A DATE!! 26TH JANUARY I CANNOT WAIT! I AM SO EXCITED

01/01/14 Audio preview from GR BDSM group bedtime stories http://youtu.be/_31qH6P_7qQ I need this book in my hands right now! All we need now is a date (hopefully soon)

Is this book ever going to get a date? i need more Paul and Danny.

I feel like I'd been waiting for Danny and Paul to claim their Eden for an eternity, which is why I'm baffled by the fact it took me this long to finally get around to reading this book. I'd preordered it wanting to have it the minute it was published, and yet when I started reading it, it was already August. *sad face*

Well, I may be a little late, but I made it, and I do so love seeing this

description

Unfortunately, this also means that I've read all there is to read about Danny, Paul and Evie. For now, I hope. They deserve more books.

Claiming Eden wasn't exactly what I expected it would be. That always happens to me when I have to wait for a book as long as I'd waited to this one because I tend to imagine what I will find in it. I also tend to be wrong. Based on the blurb that's been around for a long time, I knew Claiming Eden would be about Danny submitting to Circe in order to learn to be a good dom for Paul, and it was, but it was only a smaller part of the book that's actually about his training.

The first two books were focused on the main characters Danny, Paul, and Evie, so I was surprised when the focus shifted to some of the side characters. Even though I would've loved if it'd been all about Danny and Paul, I wouldn't call this a bad thing, just something I didn't expect.

Melissa and Denise became a bigger part of Danny and Paul's life and the story. And now I'm wishing for a book solely about them, even if Danny wouldn't be in it. I'd like to know how they're doing. Claiming Eden wasn't only about the big problems Paul and Danny were facing; Melissa and Denise had their fair share.

Circe not only had a bigger part in the story, the story had Circe's POV, and dammit, I'd like to know more about her too. Not how she's doing in the present as that it is more or less known, but her past. Hers and Jason's. Yeah, I have a feeling it would be an interesting tale.

This was an interesting tale too. Danny and Paul were figuring out how to make their relationship work. Danny was determined to be what Paul needed, and when Danny was determined, not even Circe could refuse him. She tried. Many times. It didn't take.

Beyond Eden made my heart hurt for Evie, Paul, and Danny. Paul and Danny, especially. Reading these prequels revealed more of what they had to go through to get to where Beyond Eden ended, and how long it took them. I knew Paul's family was horrible to say the least, and here I got a glimpse of that, and the thought of what they'd done to Paul before that, and how much Paul would suffer because of them afterwards is terrifying.

What all three books have in common is that my heart broke for Danny in all of them. He's my favorite character in this series, so his well-being is very important to me, and he wasn't well. His happiness of being with Paul was always tarnished by Paul backing away when the games were over, and it would be a decade before he finally found out what Paul actually felt for him. Oh, how much emotional pain could have been avoided had they all just done as Danny said...

All in all, it was great to finally read this book. Any day I read about Danny Carlow is a good day, and I do so hope I'll have more of those good days with new stories about him.

This book was one I demanded so loudly of Ms. Moon to write. Write it she did, after the issues she had to overcome with her publisher. As soon as it came out, I bought. But I did not read it. I held it and kept looking at it, but not daring to open it. Why? Because I built the story so much in my head, I was afraid I would be disappointed. In someways, I was a bit disappointed. Yet in other ways, this was a lovely closure to a story that was a long time coming. Even though this book is number 3 in the series, it can be read out of order. In fact, the 1st book in this series is probably best read last.

I cried in this book. I seem to be reading books that make me tear up. Otherwise it could be early onset menopause, who knows? This is the Danny who is still in transition. This is the Danny who does not know if he can keep his best friend, Paul safe. Paul's masochist tendencies are too extreme and dangerous. I hated Paul's family. I loathe them and wish they could all be flayed alive and dipped into a tub of salt before left in a pool of lemon juice. I hate them. The way they treat Paul is completely incomprehensible. I love Paul. He is so gentle and loving. How is it possible he is in this horrible family?

Danny is the only one who can protect Paul and it is such a large job. So large because the Paul in this story is still so young and angry. He's a rebel who hates his father and loves his mother. He wants to stick it to his father constantly because his father is an asshat. Not physically abusive like Paul's but still, emotionally bad. All of this makes for a bad combination in BDSM. I'm leery of how this will go. But Danny is persistent and he finally convinces Mistress Circe to take him on as a pupil. And what a ride it is.

For those who are looking for a story of an inexperienced dominant learning the ropes so to speak, this is an excellent choice. Danny may be an arrogant little shit at times, but he tries hard. He also has to protect more than just his boy, Paul. Danny nonverbal communication screams dominant to me loud and clear. He may be a baby dom in this story, but boy does he get really good fast. His dominant nature makes me swoon. Ms. Moon does an excellent job of showing the before and after Danny. This story is not straight forward. There are twists and turns which make it complicated and at times, frustrating. There are also some hidden secrets that are never tied off. I really want to learn more about what happened to Mistress Circe and her old lover. Now that would be a lovely little one off story. This trilogy is the one which brought me into Ms. Moon's world. I loved it and I will always think of the Eden series with great fondness. Recommended to kinky readers who like to see how getting into the lifestyle begins.

Oh I love me some Danny boy and Paul guy! They are my favorite! And Evie girl, can't leave her out, but this book is still in the early years and she's in New York.

This is the third book and we get more in depth of how Danny boy gets train to become a Dom. Paul is a submissive and a pain slut and Danny doesn't want Paul going to someone else, he wants to keep Paul satisfied and help Paul and himself enjoy the lifestyle.

We meet Circe and Danny wants her to train him, so he can help Paul and become a Dom. For Circe to train him, he has to become her submissive. I really liked the banter between Danny boy and Circe. I won't say anymore cause I pretty much said a lot. I wish it was longer and I enjoyed this one and I love these characters!

The orders of the book if you ever read or want to read this series, I'll recommend to start with; Finding Eden, Claiming Eden and Beyond Eden.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Danny really is the accidental Dom, being drawn into the BDSM world by his love for his best friend Paul. When Danny goes to professional Dominatrix Circe for proper training she turns him down. She doesn't want to train Danny and so begins Danny's quest to convince Circe to take the chance.

I loved that we get some of this story from Circe's point of view. She clearly has a story of her own to tell. I loved seeing her view of Danny. Watching these two alphas face off against each other is so entertaining and at times very funny. Their interplay adds levity to an otherwise serious story that shows us Danny's fierce loyalty to those he loves.

For me Claiming Eden did not have the heart soaring highs and crushing lows that we experienced in the first two books, nor anywhere near as much of the sex. If you were to read this story in chronological order being Finding Eden (book 2), Claiming Eden (book 3) then Beyond Eden (book 1), Claiming Eden would provide a break from the intensity while giving us great story and more of Danny and Paul.

I feel closer than ever to these characters that I love so much. I don't know if Ms Moon plans to give us any more books in this series but personally I want Circe's story and Jason's too. Thank you Ms Moon for giving us Danny Boy, Paul Guy and Evie Girl.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the second of the prequels to Beyond Eden, a book which I absolutely loved. I assume that you have read it and Finding Eden in my review. If you haven't, may I recommend that you do, as they are both fabulous, and contextualise this story.

Danny is so conflicted with his feelings for Paul now being a possibility, even if Paul sees himself as straight, but submissive to Danny. That hurts Danny so much, but he accepts the limitations given how much he loves the guy. Or can he ... this book deals with some really deep issues of how family can affect your thinking and doing, and whilst it is true in different ways for both men, the impact is significant. I love just how far Danny is prepared to go, and there are some wonderful moments of humour, which lighten what is a dark tale in places. It also makes clear some of the big issues which are raised in Beyond Eden and explains just why Danny is so uncertain of his place in Paul's life, in spite of everything.

Brilliant, once again Ms Moon - thank you so much for bringing these in-between years to life, they are mesmorising. I am quite certain that I will be rereading Beyond Eden again soon, to revel in the impact that these two prequels bring to the story.

To get the full effect of this trilogy you should read the series in this order:
Finding Eden (Eden, #2) by Kele Moon Finding Eden | Claiming Eden (Eden, #3) by Kele Moon Claiming Eden |
Beyond Eden (Eden, #1) by Kele Moon Beyond Eden

★★★★☆ ~ 4 Stars
This is the second prequel about Danny and Paul's time with each other before they're ultimately reunited with Eve in Beyond Eden.

Danny has realized a scary fact about himself - Paul's submission feeds Danny's sadism and neither have hard limits. Danny swallows his pride and asks for help from a pro-Domme which turns out not to be as easy as smiling and twinkling his eyes. I would have liked to go into more depth with his training. He finally gets Circe to agree and next thing you know, we're in Epilogue.

It’s amazing what Danny will do to make Paul happy, and that right there is the thrill behind this series. I’m definitely concerned for Paul – that he can’t admit what’s right in front of his face and holds on so tightly to pleasing his craptastic father – but I’m even more worried about the outcome for Danny. I love how perfectly these guys fit together!

Great story

Danny and Paul had me from the first word of the first page of the first book. I loved their codependent relationship! The BDSM elements were well done and not overwhelming to the story. I made the mistake of reading the books out of order. I recommend reading the prequel...Finding Eden, then this one, Claiming Eden and then Beyond Eden. Great series!

Must read all three!

Usually I get bored after the second or third book in a series. I was literally mad that there isn't another one after this book ended. You fall in love with all the characters and quickly become addicted.

This is the third book in the Eden series and I have loved them all. The main characters in all three are Danny and Paul, but this one really delves deep into their relationship , both as friends and lovers. It is another dark story but extremely erotic; it's full of emotion and you will feel both the boys pain as they struggle to find a way to live the way they need and want to.

Danny is so protective of his friends and we see how far he will go for them. The story starts with him helping Melissa and Denise and it's lovely watching the friendship between the four of them develop.

Although we had met the boys parents in the previous books , in this one we are given more insight into both families and how they have affected their lives.

We meet Jason again and learn a lot more about him. We also discover the Domme he wants to train Danny so he can safely be everything Paul needs him to be. Many of the funny scenes involve Jason as the boys love teasing him but also we see Danny realise Jason is trying to help them and not take Paul away from him. Danny is prepared to do anything to keep Paul safe especially as we already know the problems Paul has got himself into before and this is forever in Danny's thoughts. Danny not a natural Dom or sure about the BDSM lifestyle and the internal battle he fights is fascinating but emotional as he realises it is the only way he'll be with Paul.

The author cleverly takes us through all Paul's angst over his situation and it was so sweet reading about Paul accepting his feelings for Danny.

The interactions between Circe and Danny are informative, profound but also hilarious at times. Danny's answers to some of her questions are hysterical and were a nice interlude to the deeper issues being addressed. She is very perceptive but does understand his position. My heart went out to him when he succumbs to the knowledge of what he is going to have to go through because of Paul's need for pain.

There is so much more to Circe , Jason and the boys that I really hope we get another book because the epilogue leaves the story very open and there are plenty of years to cover before Beyond Eden starts.

This series must be read in order and although some people suggest a different reading order,I think the order they are written in is the best. It helps you learn about the characters first , fall in love with them, feel their pain and heartbreak . Then the next two books helps the reader understand why things happened and what the boys went through.

I highly recommend the book as it is well written and quickly draws you back into the characters lives. It is an intense and intriguing continuation of a story which although tragic in some ways , it is ultimately a love story.

Pov: male and female

Main characters: Paul and Danny

Minor Characters: Circe (domme who becomes Danny's teacher, had a relationship with Jason), Jason (Doctor/ friend of Danny and Paul, had a relationship with Circe)

My thoughts:

This was a short one. It was really good but I haven't read books 1 and 2 in a long time so I forgot the details of their relationship. There was a fight mentioned that occurred in book 2 but I don't remember the details. The author mentions it but doesn't dive back into it. Had I come fresh off book 2 it would have been better.

If I ignore all the little details I can't remember and just think of it as a new story it was good. I really liked and I want to reread the other books to complete my memories.

I am very interested in Circe and Jason's story. I don't remember them at all from the other two books, so maybe they're storyline is already revealed.

The writing was 3rd person but very clearly skewed towards one person at a time. It was well done.

Synopsis:

Danny and Paul are lovers. They've been best friends since childhood. Paul is a football star and feels a lot of pressure from his abusive dad.

Danny is bisexual. Paul doesn't think he's gay, but he knows he wants Danny. Paul is into pain and Danny has a hard time with it.

They had a huge fight and and Paul sought pain from someone else. Paul ended up severely hurt and Danny decides to learn how to be a Domme so that never happens again. (Book 2)

Their friend Jason, a doctor, agrees to help find Danny a trainer. Jason takes Danny to meet Circe.

Circe doesn't want to accept Danny. Danny is persistent and she eventually agrees to teach him.

Danny wants to be boyfriends but he knows Paul doesn't want that. Paul's childhood trauma makes him unaccepting of love and affection.

Circe teaches Danny and he and Paul are happy together.

Definitely need to read it as part of the whole trilogy. Its a bit confusing even though i read it last. The author likes cliff hangers and I find that frustrating personally.

The story focuses mainly on Danny and his struggle to become a better Dom, to tailor to the needs of his lover Paul and his need to be dominated in a unique way.

I feel that some scenes were rushed such as the Danny's punishments,,, there was a lot of anticipation and build up for them then it was a bit of a deflate,,, while other scenes like the ones of Danny convincing Cir to get on board, those were dragged and detailed.

In general I loved the whole romance between Paul and Danny and how heartbreaking it was for Danny to not be able to cuddle and love Paul, I felt exactly what the author wanted to express,,,, I also felt in her other books even when Eve was involved, so 10/10 for Kele to make those feelings surface up in words so vividly.

The Jason and Circe side story was a nice addition, and definitely it would have been nicer if Kele wasn't so stingy in more stating more details on the nature of why they departed as lovers. Was it because he wanted to be gay? It was assumed that they left each other around 10 years ago as he was still in Med School or almost done,,, was it because she was raped during that period? or was it because she discovered she was a Domme and wanted to do it as a full time job and that conflicted with Jay's mind?

Also why in other parts she was able to get married and move to NYC while she couldnt pull it off with Jason? So yeah Kele could have been more generous in that part.

I couldn't give it more than 3 stars since I felt disappointed in some parts and the sequence was a bit confusing, that is why i reserve those stars for mind-blowing series.

When i saw that Kele Moon had put out another book in the Eden series I may have even teared up a bit. These characters are complex, riveting and flawed in the best ways possible. Claiming Eden is a prequel to the Eden series, taking us back to Danny & Paul in college after Eve moved away.
The beginning of Danny learning how to take Paul in hand and Paul coming to terms with his relationship with a man master. Claiming Eden was a "can't put this down, have to keep reading" whirlwind.
Absolutely enjoyed it and tried to savour it all before the end...left me needing more, more more!
I'd love to see a side series on maybe Circe and the good doctor, that would be fun!! please Kele!!!

I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review...

Sexy, kinky, and original. Danny is a pain slut submissive who has not always looked for what he needs in the most healthy of ways. His sexuality is fluid and he enjoys following the orders of his Dom. Paul is not gay or into BDSM but he loves Danny and is willing to do anything for him including hurt him. They enjoy bringing women into their bed as long as it's together. Paul has decided he needs training in order so he can care for Danny properly. His friend Jonathon agrees to introduce him to a pro-Domme Circe. Circe has no time for Danny however he will not take no for an answer. Can Danny convince Circe to train him? Will he survive it if she does?

Finding Eden was a great read for me, I grasped it with both hands and felt all the emotions spill from the pages, loved it.

Claiming Eden? You would think the clue would be in the title but there was no sign of Eve. I wasn't a fan of her but wanted to see if she actually melded as well as Danny boy and Paul did in their relationship for me this time. (Where was she)
This book takes us back to after she left Paul and gives a brief tale of how Danny met his Dom trainer. (Wasn't epic but funny when Danny had his arse whipped, he's such a character)

I loved Finding Eden, Danny got under my skin with his feelings for Paul. Sadly I couldn't see the point of this book, it didn't delve or connect as well between them like Finding Eden did. ( I'm obviously bias of that )
