Estela Ramos knows she will die a lonely virgin spinster with donut glaze on her face. She’s resigned herself to this fate, but the women in her life have other plans. Soon, there are two men standing before the first is a desperate gynecologist with personal space issues, and the second is a handsome high-fashion photographer who claims that they’ve known each other for years. Estela becomes easily lost in the steady gaze of the photographer’s jade-green eyes, but knows she won’t get anywhere if she can’t forget the pains from her past and truly believe that someone would be eager to love her just as she is. 9/6/2015

I've been writing stories since I was nine years old. There's something so relaxing about creating worlds, characters, and situations. I consider myself an eclectic writer, but write mostly supernatural YA and romance (contemporary romantic comedies or historical).
Estela has men issues, not that she has a man in her life, she actually avoids all contact and communication with men - it all stems back to her childhood
Molia (Moo) is Estela's best friend and an ex-junkie super model, they have been through think and thin (and in Moo's case very thin, and in Estela's case rather thick) together and support each other in everything.
Estela is from Mexican stock, and her Mum and Aunt (Tia) are determined that she should be with a man, and insist on setting her up - the latest one is a doctor no less --- that doesn't turn out very well when he won't take no for an answer
Caleb and Estela meet at Moo's party - for what Estela thinks is the first time - and she finds herself affected by him.
A good read, and thoroughly enjoyed it - it kept me picking it up at every opportunity to find out the next bit of Estela and Caleb's relationship and Moo's life

I absolutely loved this book! I fell in love with the characters--well, most of the characters. One of them made me sick to my stomach (those of you who have read it know who I am talking about). Estela is a beautiful, yet flawed, character (read: human), and I love how the author worked a tight-nit/traditional Latino family into the story. I grew up in along the U.S.-Mexico border and some scenes had me missing home. I look forward to the next book, and will purchase it as soon as it is available (a not so subtle hint to the author).
I really did enjoy this story plot. I would have liked to give it more stars but the spell checking and grammar left me guessing at some words that the author meant to say and trying to fill in with the correct words myself.
I liked it so much I bought book 2 Killing Monsters. I do however hope that someone that know's spelling, grammar and punctuation has read this book and will do better then whoever did or rather didn't do Killing Memories.
i thought all in all this was agreat fun read. there were some grammar errors but no biggie to me if the story has a good enough plot and characters to back it up. Im totally loving Estela and Moo's relationship/characters. i am now onto book #2 killing monsters.
This book is a little bit longer than what I am used to reading. It did take me about halfway through the book to start getting interested where I could not put the book down. The twists and turns and thought was very excellently executed can't wait to start reading the next book
With lovable characters and a story with so much going on it is a great read, this is the second time reading as originally read this back in 2014, still thoroughly enjoyed it this time round. Hits my funny bones had laughing and tearing up
I honestly have read this series, 5 times. I am endlessly inlove with the characters, plot and over all writing of this book. It makes me laugh and cry. Honestly my favorite book of all time.
It took awhile for me to get into this book. I loved Estela ad Moo’s relationship. True friendship!! Loved that Caleb loved Estela!! Estela’s mom was not a nice mom!!! Great read!!!
I read this book years ago on fictionpress.com. It's the first book of four. I loved it then and I love it now. Plus the cover it just perfect.
I don't know how I'd describe this book. It's an easy read, enjoyable, it has a lot of laugh-out-loud scenes. The plot isn't what makes this book, it's the characters. The Hood brothers, the friendship between Estela and Moo. It's perfect. They seem so human and real at times it's unbelievable. There were parts in this book when Estela was thinking, that made me think she was reading my mind.
The book flows very well. The author really knows how to write without the jumpy-ness some books have. There were a few typos in the the first edition of the book, I think the author has sorted that out now. The second book in this series will be released sometime this year. Although no date has been set in stone.
I already know what's going to happen in the next books and I promise they just keep getting better and better. I'm going to continue to buy the next books in this series.
I'd definitely recommend both the book and the author, for future reads.
I read all 4 books in about two weeks. I loved the length of them. That in itself was such a relief. I am sick of these short book series, where you read a book a day and end up spending a lot of money on what really could be one book. That was not the case with this series. Each book is a BOOK!. That being said I loved the cuteness factor in this series. It was a light summer read for sure. I wanted to scream at Estela so many times. But that is what made it fun. I adored the fact that this author made you feel as if you could be best friends with the characters, and didn't make anything so graphic I had to skip pages. I get really bored with too much sexual detail in books. It seems ever since a certain author made it ok to read smut, other authors follow suit. I was happy that Ms. Moore did not follow this lead. Ms. Moore has made a fan out of me.
I had to stop reading after the first 2 chapters. The main character was incessantly brooding about being a 26 yr old chubby virgin. I was fine with it until she recalled WHY ... blaming it on her age 14 lustful dreams of the high school jock that so rudely turned her down.
I just dont find it believable that a 14 yr old chubby girl is dreaming of sex under the bleachers. Kissing? Yes. Fondling? Probably. Having the hottest guy in school strip her chubby body down and ravage her under the bleachers and in the locker room? Nope. Not buying it.
I could go on, but I wont. It just wasnt for me. I couldnt connect with this character at all. I know other people that have fully enjoyed it, so give it a shot for yourself.
First off I like to say this book has to have some corrections made in the book there were errors in the book. Just seems like more errors than I would have expected.
When I first started to read this book I couldn't get into it so I put it down and went on to read another book. After finish reading the other book I decided to just pick up the book and try to reading if again. About 20 pages later I really got into it and finish the whole book.
If you're really into love stories then this would be a good book to read. I finished the whole book that was really intrigued by it. I gave it a four star because I really thought once I got into it it was really good storyline. However I'm not sure I want to read the next book we will see.
Tatiana Moore is an amazing story teller. I loved the plot and how everything turned out. Estela and Moo's friendship felt so really to me because I related it to how I treasure me friends and always have their backs(minus the fame and money lol.) 25% percent of the time though Estela pissed me off. She just seemed so dumb to me at times. For example, if she would of nip Dr. Prevos actions it in the butt from the beginning But overall I loved can't to read the second book in the series.
My biggest problem with this book is that I really despise insipid, weak characters - especially when they are WOMEN. Estela and Moo are both WIMPS. They both have eating disorders fueled by self-loathing that are never even directly mentioned much less resolved. And a story needs to progress to be interesting! The plot (albeit very thin) fizzled out at some point and it just became an endless loop of eating tacos at tio's, Estela making stupid choices then gorging herself and listening to psycho-mom rage against poor, fat Estela. Am I going to read the next book to see if they work their crap out? Oh hell no.
I was really looking forward to reading about Estela because I really loved her in Daisy's story. Her character development was fairly good, obviously she quite childish at times and considering that this is the first book, she'll mature more as the series progresses but still, some of her antics can get a little too much at times. I read this quite a while ago now but one thing that I recall is that I did think it was a bit too long in length and that some scenes seemed to repeat a bit. However, this story was funny, Moo and Estela can really make you bust a gut laughing, I'm keen to see what happens next.
I picked up "Killing Memories" as a freebie through Barnes and Noble. I don't know what I expected of the book, but before I finished it, I ordered the other books in the series. I absolutely can't put them down! Just finished "Killing Monsters" and getting ready to get started on "Killing Momzillas". I would highly recommend these books by Tatiana Moore.
Loved the characters in this book. Great fun to read, although there were issues with editing. A pleasant, refreshing read. Some of the situations were a bit far fetched but that is what made the book so fun. Looking forward to reading next book in series!
OMG, OMG, OMG! I don't know what I was expecting from this book, but It was nothing like I thought it would be. It was funny, sweet, moving, with a seriously creepy stalker, urgh! and I absolutely loved every minute of it...straight onto book two :)
This was a very enjoyable book. I got it free on my Kindle so I was not sure if I would like it. It had a nice love story and a crazy stalker. it made me laugh and I also made me cry. its a long book but it doesn't feel long because you like the people in the story so much.
The main characters of the story were fighters and had their own personal turmoil that they needed to overcome. The storyline was an interesting one but at times I felt that the writer became redundant while telling the story.
As big Latin woman I totally saw myself in Estela, I like the way the writer write what she was thinking, I heard myself. I found myself laughing so much with her comments... Really good book. Now I go for the second one and hope it is the same good as this one.
Just the right mix of romance, suspense, and spanish humor. I enjoyed the characters, very real personalities, great flow of story, and the book was hard to put down.
