Twisted sucked me into its awesomeness immediately, creating all kinds of tension, suspense, and intrigue within the first chapter alone. I fell in love with its unique cast of characters and I was even grateful for the derranged ones who allowed the story to remain so true to its name!

The story begins with a bang. Literally-- Maya gets hit by a car. She's ok! Thanks to her sexy, mysterious savior, Ben, who pulls her out of harms way then runs for the hills when he learns her identity. Maya was rendered both entranced and confused by Ben's odd behavior and, frankly, so was I. Maya finds herself drawn to him, but she quickly learns that Ben has a past that haunts his future, as he goes out of his way to avoid her.

Ben's character was a lonely, misunderstood, social outcast and I loved every bit of him! The torment he received from his fellow classmates was unbearable, but paled in comparison to the torment he placed upon himself. Maya's character was refreshingly strong and I admired her immensely for never once succumbing to the peer pressure surrounding her. There were many funny moments that lightened the tone to this otherwise serious story, and I appreciated the overall message against bullying that was so strongly conveyed.

The pacing of this story was perfection. I never felt bored nor rushed and the mystery/suspense element was very entertaining. I was hoping for a little more development in the aftermath between Maya and Ben, but I was very happy with the sweet and gratifying epilogue. Good read!

Maya has no idea why until she finds out Ben is hated by the entire town and school. Ben knows the closer Maya tries to get, the worse the attacks against her will be.

Maya will come face to face with the entire school and fight the bullying and hate Ben deals with on a daily basis for a murder he was found innocent of but his brother was in fact found guilty of murdering Ben's girlfriend.

As Maya continues her push for friendship, she is met with so much hatred and despise for Ben she can not stand it any longer. She fights for Ben and their relationship. She stands up for Ben and his innocence and even rescues Ben when he has no one, not even his parents in his corner.

Maya helps Ben realize he is not alone and she will fight for him and them. Ben's guilt and the abuse he has encountered has left him alone and love is the last thing he thinks he deserves.

Maya shows Ben that he deserves to be loved no matter the darkness that follows. She will stand by his side as they find the light together.

I usually try to avoid YA books especially with high school drama, but this story captured me. I love a character that stand up against bullying even when she stands alone.

Beautifully heart breaking story Miss Amity Hope.

Genre: YA Romance

The whole town of Beaumont knows who Ben McCaffey is. And they all treat him as if he is the scum of the earth. He is a phantom in the school hallways going overlooked as if he is not even there. He has no qualms with this in fact he prefers it, even thinks he deserves it. To be treated like he is invisible has been his life for two years. Ever since he was arrested for murder. All because he dated a girl.

Twisted is a story filled with so much heartbreak and heartache as one girl takes on her high school by standing up for a boy who is hated by everyone.
Maya Anderson finds herself back in her hometown of Beaumont after moving around constantly with her mother for six years. Now after yet another family tragedy Maya moves in with her older sister Remy. When Mya herself gets into an accident she meets Ben. Ben is elusive and after a few run ins at the park he ask that Mya reframe from befriending him. Of course this baffles her. But once school starts SHE starts to get the picture.
Ben is the school Lepor he is an outcast and pretty much ignored. When he is not being ignored its because a guy named Alec feels like beating the crap out of him. And nobody stops him. Why? Because they belive its justified after all Ben is the reason she's dead. Ben is the reason Katie, Alec's little sister is gone.

Mya slowly starts to fall for Ben and this makes someone very unhappy. She starts to get creepy gifts. Gifts that Ben once gave Katie when they dated. Ben and Maya's friends fear for her safety. Her friends are convinced Ben is behind it. But Maya knows he can't be. He would never hurt her. Though he does everytime he pushes her away. He thinks he is poison. Toxic for her life so he tells her to stay away. None of this matters its to late her life is in danger.

Thoughts
This book has its emotional lows that's for sure. The hatred shown towards Ben was beyond comprehension. I think it was very thought provoking and showed just how ignorant people can be. The plot was very honest. People are ostracized for something family members have done often but to what extent and when is enough, ENOUGH? Who will be the voice for those who believe they have no voice or choice? I recommend this book to all readers, NOT just YA lovers. The book has some very colorful characters I laughed out loud on a few occasions so the book is not a total downer. Plus Maya's friends are hilarious.
Maya- Is a sweetheart she is bold and displays a lot of courage. I consider her a Fun Fearless Female.
Ben- Is a mystery waiting to be unraveled.
Phoebe- Is what true best-friends are made of. She knew how to keep Maya's secrets and she respected Maya's choices and most importantly she had Maya's back.
Hailey- Brought the laughs.
Olivia- Was to damn gullible for her own good.
Alec- King of the a**holes.

My Ratings
Characters- Lovable
Writing Style- Good
Plot/Storyline- Emotional, Thought Provoking and at times Intense
Steam Factor- PG-13
Overall- I liked it! I recommend it!!

Now go forth and read. Then come tell us all about it on Goodreads!

3 Stars! Somewhat predictable, but engaging read !

Pretty good book about teens handling death and bullying. For the most part I enjoyed the book, but I had a few issues, one in particular involved Ben's parents and their feelings towards him. I had a hard time believing that they could just toss him and and his feelings to the side like they did. Ben however, I loved, and his circumstances really touched my heart. I liked Maya and the way she stood up to the other students and was Ben's champion, although on occasion she got on my nerves. You could see the writing on the wall, and what should have been a dramatic ending, didn't play out the way it could have. There was some pretty serious stuff going on and it was basically just brushed off and after all that their son endured...Ben's parent's were still idiots, or so we were told, we never got to know them.

I was wavering on bumping up another 1/2 star, but the ending was just too abrupt for me! The epilogue felt like another chapter in the book and didn't really satisfy me. I see that this is the first book in this series, so will I get more of what I'm looking for in the next book? Maybe. I'm intrigued enough to pick up the next book!

While this didn't hit all the right buttons for me, I liked it enough that I would still recommend it to YA readers!

Whew.......Ok.....Let me process, here.

I read this on a whim. My friend told me about this book months ago. But I read the description and it sounded like a gut-wrencher (which it was) and I usually stay away from those. I read to escape, not be sad and have my heart ripped out. Just don't enjoy those kinds of books.

But THIS BOOK was so different.

It was sad and gut-wrenching and anger-inducing and I cried a good portion of the book. But the way it was written was amazing to me. And the main character, Maya? Wow. I haven't read a book in forever that I loved the MC so much. In fact, she may well be my favorite female character of all. Because she wasn't stupid, snotty, snippy, constantly whining or lashing out at the main guy, leaving the guy, or constantly getting on my nerves with a poor attitude that lots of YA books throw out as 'personality and spunk'. I don't like the attitude of "I'm gonna do what I want and I don't care who gets hurt or what anyone thinks". I can't stand it when the girl is like that. Amity made me fall in love with Maya from page one with her faith and hope and unconditional love.

And Ben? Oh. My. Goodness. I don't think I've ever felt so badly for a character. That poor guy. And I read a review that said that they didn't like Ben b\c he made Maya do all the chasing in the book. After what happened to him and all the circumstances of it, how could you expect him to do the chasing!!! Yes, the book's romance isn't much, which I think is what surprised me the most about my liking the book. I am a romance junky and the really sweet, mushy kind is the best, but just the prelude to romance, the few moments we did see some, and Maya's unconditional friendship and the way she fought for Ben even when he was backing away b\c he felt he didn't deserve it, was WAY enough to keep me sunk into the story.

Really, I feel this book was the pre-relationship period. I would LOVE to see a sequel where we can actually see them together more and get deeper with Ben. He was such a great character. And when he came to her defense with a certain someone, but she didn't know it, that right there showed that he really only ever wanted to protect her. He said it so many times, "It's not that I don't want to" and it was obvious that's how he really felt. He truly, honestly wanted to keep her safe above all else.

My final take on this book? It had a good pace, I was never bored or flipping through b\c of too much information. It was an overally sad book, but I still had that little glimmer of hope to keep me going. The writing was great. Reading Indie books is what made me write my own books and I'm not being biased, but most of my favorite books are Indie. This is one of those books where the cover can't explain what you're about to get into when you open the book. It was a surprise and I loved that. I stayed up to 4am to finish last night and with me being a stay at home mom that gets up with her kids, that's saying how invested I was in it.

Definitely my top 10 for the year, even though it's only January. The message really wasn't bullying, b\c of the circumstances, but gossiping and assuming...it really shows how something can be made to be something it's not because of people's unwillingness to mind there own business and have a little faith in people.

I want this book for my bookshelf. This will definitely be a re-read for me.

5 ripping-my-guts-out-in-the-right-way stars from me.

DON'T LET THE COVER FOOL YOU! This is a sneaky little gut-wrenching emotional YA-novel stuck in happily ever after zippity do da clothing. This review isn't going to be funny because there was nothing funny about Twisted.

The title comes from what the reader feels while watching Ben go through the tragedy known as his life. A social outcast, bullied. It gives these issues a real voice! Maya isn't a stranger to tragedy either; this is why she is instantly drawn to Ben. Though their relationship isn't very physical, it is very intense and full of emotion.

For a YA-novel it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is so heart-breaking at times; I just wanted to jump in the pages and hold Ben. Maya did have her annoying moments paired with some cheesy dialogue, but overall a gripping novel that's extremely fast paced. The ending will leave your jaw dropped followed by an intense smile for having read such a unique story.

It was something different that came at a time where that's exactly what I needed. Amity Hope, I have my eye on you! READ ON!

A truly unique find all wrapped up in a truly uniquely Twisted title!

At first glance, this looks to be your typical tale of teenage love. I couldn't have been more wrong! Amity Hope couldn't have picked a more appropriate title for this little ditty. :o) It's heart-wrenching, raw and emotional. The characters have been beautifully crafted; each one extraordinary. Maya and Ben's friendship unfolds into a true relationship before our eyes. They have both suffered from severe tragedies in their lives and it takes overcoming those tragedies and other obstacles in their lives to make it. Will they be able to make it through any of this? Only one way to find out!

I really liked this book. I wasn't expecting it to be so emotional. The cover definitely leads you to believe that it would be more lovey-dovey that it actually is. I was pleasantly surprised. The story was deep and involved. The characters all had depth. Maya and Phoebe made a great team. :) Ben was just misunderstood throughout the whole thing. I wanted to beat the crap outta his parents and everyone else for that matter. Hailey...LOL...Loved her! She took the cake! :o)

While sitting here writing this review, I'm forced to think about bullying, and whatnot. I'm thinking of my kids and how I would/should react if we were in this particular situation. Everyone reacts differently, right? With that being said, I will most likely let my kids all teenagers read this if they choose to. I truly believe that anyone can make a difference!

I found this quite a sad story of Maya and Ben who have both been through loss, but Bens is a constant nightmare because his brother murdered Bens girlfriend, and this has forced Ben to become ostracised by society.
Beautifully written, sad and poignant but it has hope.
Just thought the ending was a bit abrupt wanted some more of Maya and Ben.

I really enjoyed this book for a few reasons. I liked how Maya has common sense and she understood why Ben acted the way he did even when he was trying to push her away. It was noce that she wasnt clueless like a lot of female leads are in the book. I even liked that she was pushy! finally a female lead that wasnt a delicate flower, and went after what she wanted, because she understood what was going on with Ben!!! I also liked how real Ben was! you really feel for him and want to hug him and not let him go!
However, I felt that the end was a bit rushed, I would have liked a full chapeter atleast about the aftermath of the final event of the story enstead of it being a rushed Epilouge! that being said, I would have liked an epilouge that goes a litter further into the future rather then a summery of the following weekend. Finally, I would have really liked to have a few chapters from Ben's perspective, just to really feel his pain and confusion and desire.
But it was still a really great read!

Why it did not work for me.

Maya was doing the chasing or making every effort to talk to Ben and not the other way around. I do not mind when the heroine is fighting for the underdog. I actual would not have minded that she was the aggressor, but it has to be done right. I can't feel like she is the only one giving. Ben barely gave anything of himself. I did not feel connected because Ben only showed a small piece of himself. I would understand his behavior if he was with Maya and there were other people around, but he was like this when it was just the two of them. I feel like I did not get to know Ben at all. I barely saw them together without Maya doing all the trying. I did not buy the ending at all.

So disappointed since I love these type of YA stories, but they have to be done right.

This is my opinion. You may love it. I am not telling you not to read it.

Terrific read!!!

This was a wonderful book! It was very intense and compelling, had an amazing story and I loved the drama/suspense. Maya and Ben were perfect lead characters and the emotional backdrop was felt in every paragraph! My only complaints are one, it was to short, coming in at about 180 pages and two, the ending was a bit abrupt. I wish there had been more! Maybe because I just wasn't read for the story to end, but either way, I wish it had of been longer. Great read! And definitely worth a recommend.

CHRISTINA'S BOOKREVIEW

4.5 Stars

"The only time I feel anything even close to normal is when I’m with you. You make me feel at peace.”

“I read because I like it. It passes the time and it sucks you in so you don’t have to think about anything else.”

“As long as you have one person you can trust, the rest of the world doesn’t seem so bad.”

"Just because someone is hurting…it doesn’t give them the right to hurt other people."

MY REVIEW

Twisted was filled with a community that took one tragic event and twisted the outcome of ones life by creating rumors and twisting them in order to hurt someone that was already at his low. The bullying that was endured through the pages by a whole town was so heartbreaking. I found myself feeling melancholy throughout the whole book. Not to say that this was a bad thing. This book will grab you and take you on a journey that you don’t realize you are on until you finish the book and realize that you will never forget Ben and Maya’s story. Amity Hope weaves a story that will forever stay with you.

Not so long ago Ben’s life was like any average guy. He had friends; he had a girl her loved and a family that got along well. But then Ben’s life was completely turned upside down because of a loved ones cruelty. He lost everything in a span of hours and lived a very lonely year afterwards. He had to put up with mental and physical abuse, hideous pranks and no protection by the people a person should always count on to protect you. My heart continually broke for him throughout the book and I rooted for Maya because she was just perfect.

Maya had her own crap going on but she was levelheaded. She didn’t give in to the nonsense of those around her and she didn’t cower when Ben pushed against her intentions. I loved her and I hardly find a heroine that is so amazing. She stood up for herself and she didn’t let people’s vicious demeanor push her away from the one person that brought solace to her life. She was Ben’s light in the dark.

I need to take another moment and point out that the people in this town were terrible. They took an innocent person and ran him through the mud. To blame someone for knowing a person that was tragically loss is the most deriding thing ever. If everybody lived with that belief everyone in this world would be guilty of one crime or another by association. It was appalling and the residents of the town were simpleminded.

Not to say that there weren’t those that didn’t enable such atrocities. There was Maya’s new friend, Phoebe, which stood beside Maya through the whole ordeal and encouraged her to help Ben. She was the best friend everyone deserves. There is also Remy that was an amazing sister and didn’t buy into what the townsfolk’s thought or said. She was supportive throughout Maya’s transition to her new school and life and her want to help Ben.

This book was great! But I had to take a 1/5 star away because there was no declaration of love!! Like really? I'm a romance lover so I was waiting for that!

Anyways, I cannot wait to read more from this wonderful author! I guarantee tears will be shed throughout Maya and Ben’s story.

Buy it. Read it. Love it.

HAPPY READING!!

This book deals with a really tough situation and I felt that the delivery was executed well. I really related to the characters and was angry, stressed and upset along with Maya at the injustice of the community's accusations.

I liked that Maya's friends are multi-dimensional and don't always get along. They're not carbon copied people, they feel real.
Maya surprised me. She's suffered her own losses but she's so...normal. When she meets Ben, she's much more interested in getting him out of his shell than she is with hiding in her own. I found that pretty amazing. Maya is just so incredibly strong. But I suppose part of that is because she just loves to care for people. When she's worrying about someone else she doesn't have to worry about her own problems. She always puts others people's pain above her own and you've got to admire her for it. The other thing I loved about her is her openness and how she just lays her cards on the table. She's been hurt so badly in the past, but she's still unafraid to love. I think that's just awesome.
There's something special about two wounded people finding solace in each other. It's the most heart-wrenching kind of romance for me. Even though Maya has had tremendous loss, the drama doesn't really revolve around her backstory, it revolves around Ben's. The poor kid has gone through a lot and he's a complete loner, even his parents cruelly shut him out. He's lived with this shadow around him for so long he's completely demoralised. Maya is well-acquainted with grief and despair so she knows how to handle Ben. She's so sweet and gentle with him, she's just what he needs and she always knows what to say.
Ben pushes Maya away for her own good but she's stubborn and kind-hearted and refuses to leave him to his misery. Ben gets seriously bullied at school even though he's a big guy cause he kind of feels like he deserves it.

On a side note, I wasn't expecting macho, knight in shining armour behaviour from this book, but there was! ...*SA-WOOON.
Side Note #2 Phoebe is the bestest kind of best friend

What stopped this from being a five-star book is the romance. Most of the time I felt that Maya was more passionate for Ben's situation than Ben himself and even at the end, it just didn't ring through for me. Once the excitement and anguish of the crisis died down, could the two really find much to build on? I didn't feel it.

More than 5 stars first of all!!
I loved this book it showed how a tragedy can really ruin the lives of not only everyone involved and there family but the whole town!!! And it can turn someone who is inncoent but part of the tragedy his world upside down!!!
Ben is such a sweet, quiet person who at one point in his life used to be so outgoing and energetic but when his girlfriend is murdered its basically like a huge piece of himself died with her!! When everyone thought he was guilty they kept there opinions guilty regardless that he was aquitted of all charges!!! And EVERYONE turned there backs on him even his parents!!!
This book was so heartfelt I ached for ben and the pain he was going through the past two years after the murder!! He was tormented and beat up and he took it all without a word! He tried to stay invisible and just get through school but when Maya comes into his life like a jolt of energy he can't seem to stay off the radar anymore! And Maya is insistent on being his friend regardless if his refusing and of all the gossip and rumors!! When they finally become I guess friends she realizes that everyone hates him mostly because of his dead girlfriends brother who is the main tormentor and the one that is always using him as a punching bag!!! She tells Alec off but what she doesn't realize is Alec doesn't just want to torment ben but now with Maya in the picture and knowing they care for each other he wants to make Ben suffer and be put through hell all over again!!!
This book was so good it had me on the edge of my seat near the end I had to hold back some tears throughout the book! And it even made me laugh a little while being a very serious tragic book!! Alec is one sick fuck j have to say tho!!! And his friends are such followers that don't seem to have a mind of there own!! Phoebe seems to be the only one that agrees with Maya in knowing Ben was inncoent and that he was actually a sweet Guy with a big heart that never showed it anymore because he couldn't seem to get over the past until Maya!!
A must read to good not read!! Not a love story per say but more coming out of a tragedy and getting your life back. With of course Ben and Maya becoming close!!

Maya came to her hometown to live with her sister after the accident that took her father and brother away..along with it a part of her mother's love who is filled with grief and drunk even after years.

Coming back was difficult as it is but it becomes more difficult when she develops a soft corner for Ben,who is blamed to be a part of his girlfriends murder...but Maya never believes it.

Even though Ben avoids her ..Maya is attracted to him and wants to help him out of his shell and guilt..a little talk, comfort and Ben opens up to her slowly.

But Highs school is apparently hell as no one believes in Ben's innocence not even her childhood friends except Pheobe..she is only who supports her..

Maya is stuck in doing what is right and ignoring the only person she ever loved..but it seems history is repeating .. notes, parcels and dolls appear to Maya threatening her...some one is out for revenge and Maya is stuck in it this time..with her life at stake....can she escape it ?Can Ben save her ?

Nice story..suspense,drama,a little romance..it was overall a interesting read.

This book wasn't great, but it was good. I didn't connect well with this book and I think that's because I seem to be growing out of YA completely and am venturing into Mature YA/ Adult books. However, this one still kept me entertained.

I enjoyed the story and the characters in it. I really liked Maya. I loved how she stood up to all the bullies for Ben in and outta school.I felt so bad for Ben and all he went through and is still going through. I thought Maya and Ben's relationship was sweet but that was about it. I guess cause it was a YA book and light on the romance I didn't feel any intensity or passion for the two, it was just... sweet. I would've really liked a little more story about the two after they got together but I guess the Epilogue will suffice.
I think the plot was a little predictable since I knew what was gonna happen before I was even close to the halfway point, but it was still enjoyable enough to keep my attention.

Overall I enjoyed this book and I'm glad I bought it. It isn't as good as some of my latest reads, but I would recommend it to others who enjoy contemporary YA.

Ahhhh!
Recomendable.

This book was well-written and well-edited (the latter of which is becoming less and less common, unfortunately). Appropriate grammar, usage and mechanics are gifts a writer gives to his or her reader, and they are appreciated.

I certainly wasn't expecting the climax of the plot, but that unexpectedness was refreshing. The characters really make this book. Maya was compassionate and strong, but not perfect. Ben was precious, and I hurt for him and rejoiced in his growth. I would have liked just a little more at the end. I felt that the Epilogue was a little rushed (and should have been another chapter; it wasn't really an epilogue). I appreciated that she ended the story after the resolution, but a little more would have satisfied the romantic in me.

Overall, great read, and refreshing after the few really bad books I read before getting my hands on this one.

Oh, and I also read the excerpt of Tainted Legacy at the end, and though I'm not a fan of paranormal, I'm intrigued and plan to read it, as well. :)

I really liked this story.

What most drawn me into it was the fact that I kind of understood Maya and I kind of knew what Ben went through. People... people can be cruel. I am so happy none from my closed ones have to went through something like Ben, though some of them went through really bad things, but people don't ignore them and they see they are okay.

The false accusations are one of the worst thing that can happen to you.

All in all, I really like characters. I was so sad for Ben and I was so proud of Maya... I knew who the psycho of the story was. I mean, it's not hard to miss it :)

But the ending is what I loved the most. This story was not about romance, even though there was cute romance in it, it was about friendship, about forgiving yourself even when you did nothing wrong... and it's about bringing a smile on your face. Really sweet.

WOW!!!! That should sum it up. Just WOW!!! I was up all night reading this book; just couldn’t put it down. This is the story of Maya Anderson and Ben McCaffey; both are equally broken by past tragedies. The only difference is that Maya has the support of her sister and slowly learns to live again. Ben is wrongfully accused of a crime he did not commit and has to live as an outsider, constantly being scrutinized and abused by schoolmates. In spite of being warned by her friends to stay away from him, Maya is determined to befriend him; the closer she gets to him, the more danger comes her way. This is such a heart wrenching and warm love story. Every character is beautifully described and complements the story perfectly. Amazing writing and the pace is just right. You won’t feel rushed or bored. Another great success by Amity Hope.

Interesting book and a very quick read.

I liked it, and I liked the background story.
I liked the strong heroine who stood against the mistreatment of the guy even if it meant making enemies in what was a harsh high school world that the adults did not stop.
Cute story ... and if you have not read the book, stop reading my review now...

The one thing I did not really find very realistic is how the brother just snapped and actually decided he could take a life.
How he went to the place his sister was killed and yet still did not even falter with his plan. How, even when questioned how that would affect her own sister she would be leaving behind he did not care. I just think that went a bit too far and book would have had a good ending even without that. That being said, I suppose some people just snap and the good guys stop being good which happens.

Twisted is absolutely one of the most original books I have ever read. The story is about a teenage girl, Maya , who moves back to her small hometown to live with her sister. She soon learns about a murder that took place about 2 years before her return. A young girl named Kate was murdered by her boyfriend Ben's brother. At least the courts found him guilty, but Maya learns that many people do not feel the brother acted alone and that Ben is probably guilty as well. While getting to know Ben, she becomes his only defender and advocates for him against bullies, teachers, and Katie's friends. As Maya tries to help Ben to stand up for himself, she realizes that the situation is more complicated or "twisted" and that her own life may be in danger.

This book shows you that no matter how hard people try to tear you down, you need to stay true to yourself and your beliefs.

I liked this book. I think it dealt with the topics of gossip and guilt in a believable way. You couldn't help but feel bad for Ben and appreciate Maya's desire to befriend him. I would have liked more romance between them, but I guess I kinda view this as the beginning of their relationship. Ben had to get to a place where he could be loved again before turning into a heartthrob romantic lead.

My wonderful friend on Twitter@JennNun recommended this book to me. I am so glad that she did!

Best Part: The whole book was amazing! I could not put it down. Maya and Ben are amazing characters and my heart really ached for them and their stories. I cannot tell you how much I wanted to actually "protect" Ben and Maya throughout the book. From the moment I started reading until the moment I finished the book I cried, laughed (at times) and wanted Ben and Maya to be together forever.

Not so great about Book: I can honestly say this book was great. There is nothing wrong with this book at all! I could reread a 100 times and never tire of it!

I will admit I'm a cover lover if the cover doesn't pull me in am unlikely to read it BUT I read some reviews for Twisted and I thought I would download the Kindle sample and I really liked the story so I downloaded the full book and didn't stop reading. When I look at the cover I think cheese YA romance but this book is so much better than the cover makes it out to be. So much so I wish the author would have it re-designed to be a bit dark & sexy. Twisted is a amazing YA novel that covers topic's such as bullying, murder, romance & how clicks at school really just push others students out. A believeable YA novel with great characters Amity Hope is an author to watch out for.

Best Heroine of the month...
Maya stole my heart, her concern, love and understanding for Ben totally won me out........ and damn she was persistent ;)
Ben <3 cute, sweet, caring, boy next door who was brutally damaged, I adored the way he stayed calm to Maya's stubborness...... and esp loved the way he opened up to her.He had been through so much that it tore my heart.....
Loved Phoebe and want a friend like her.....
Alec, I feel pity for him.
All an all brilliant story, executed perfectly.

A very sweet romance between Maya and Ben. I loved how protective of him she was. I just wanted to reach into the book and give Ben a hug.

Maya was awesome! I loved how brave and supportive she was.
"I'm sitting with you whether you like it or not," I told him. "So don't you dare get up and leave me here by myself. Unlike you, I don't like eating alone."

Has a HEA. Might read phoebes story when it comes out, she was a good friend out of her other two idiot friends.

Ben -"I read beacause I like it. It passes the time and it sucks you in so you don't have to think about anything else" -Love that.

I was on the edge of my proverbial seat (considering I prefer reading while sitting on my daybed but I digress). I did have to put it down several times because my heart couldn't take it anymore. And you know what song this story reminds me of and I've been singing since (and hearing in my overly imaginative and crazy little head)... Richard Marx's "Hazard"... I mean seriously really similar. I always wanted a book written with that theme.
