When Fallon died at the age of sixteen, her life changed forever.

The hallowed world of Emperica is everything she had ever hoped for as a mortal—immeasurable beauty, unconditional love and light. But, with affection for humankind still burning within her, she joins the Knight Caste to train as an angel warrior. As a Knight, she will give up her wings and return to the place that killed her to use her unique powers to search out and destroy the evil Kjin that roam the earth. As a Knight, she will stop at nothing to protect the mortals in her care.

The elders warn her that the path she chose will be a solitary one. That she will not have the same bond with humans as she once did. But, as far as she knows, the elders had never met Kade Royce.

When her duties place her in the path of this handsome former cop, emotions buried long ago rise to the surface and she is powerless to ignore the depth of her feelings for this young man. She knows instinctively that she has found what most people search their entire lives for.

Ignoring the risks, she invites him into her world of danger, but soon their lives collide with explosive consequence. As a result, Fallon realizes with heartbreaking despair that she can no longer hide from the painful truth. In order for Kade to live, she must destroy him.

Thank you for visiting my Goodread's profile. I am Valerie Zambito, and I live in New York. After having been involved in a busy sales career for fifteen years, a great love of world building, character creation, and all things magic led to the publication of my first adult epic fantasy series, ISLAND SHIFTERS, in October of 2011 and a young adult paranormal series, ANGELS OF THE KNIGHTS, shortly thereafter.

My reading preference is fantasy as well and I devour in copious amounts. In my opinion, there’s nothing like a front row seat to a great epic tale filled with adventure, mystery and danger.

I gravitate to fantasy with heroic elements. I like strong, confident men who never back down from a fight against evil. The kind who will not hesitate to throw himself between a woman and a fire-breathing dragon. I like strong women, too. The kind who will appreciate the offer, but is more inclined to push the man out of the way and take care of the dragon herself. ;)

Happy reading, Goodreaders!

Bullet Review:

DNF at 7%

Never trust a book where the main character's name is literally "Fallon Angel" and the prologue has her dying, going to "heaven", and IMMEDIATELY choosing her angel "caste" (this quite literally happens in less than 2% of an already short book - I want to apologize to "Divergent" for all the thought and analysis that comparatively went into that test!).

Writing is so juvenile - I can't make it further without dying of laughter.

I didn't hate this--but I couldn't finish it because it was so juvenile. The writing was certainly basic, and left a lot to be desired. The prologue just annoyed me. So Fallon is dead, and then is scooted through Emperica or Heaven--then for what ever reason, she is an angel and apparently she caught on to this somehow...? Because there was no sign of her being angelic. Anyway, she is then told she needs to choose between castes of Angels, without being given time to make an informative decision, and she knows immediately off the top of her head what she wants to be doing for the rest of her life...
The it jumps forward a few decades to her kicking some random Kjin's ass. She can detect it but, it, of course, cannot detect her. Hmmm. Then she proceeds to tell the girl it was stalking and abusing, to "be careful next time, okay?", because, yes, that girl could have prevented being stalked and attacked by an "evildoer.". This all after "refusing to lie to her", but then not correcting her when she makes an incorrect assumption that she "must have just passed out".
Then we are taken back in time to when she was being introduced to her "elder" angel who trains the Knights. You are informed that very few people are chosen as angels, and even fewer make it through the training to become a knight. Right. And from what I was understanding, most of them were teenagers.
I was so bored. And I have so many other books to read, so I'm going to read something else.

This book was a wonderful idea that was poorly executed. It's an incredibly short book which makes the entire story rushed and unsatisfying. By the end I was just frustrated by the writing style, especially the dialog, the rushed plot, the nearly non-existent back story and the lack of character development. What we do know about the characters isn't enough to make you care about them.

The only thing that kept me reading was my refusal to leave a book this short unfinished. Perhaps the characters and the plot are handled better in next book but after this severely disappointing read I won't be sticking around to find out.

Narrated by Angela Grayden: ☆☆☆

When I started listening to this book, it took me quite a while to become engaged in the story. Both the book and the narration felt a little flat. It’s a short book so it seemed a large amount of the story and background was just kind of thrown at me in the first half. On top of this, there’s an insta-love situation thrown in, of which I am not a fan. The story just seemed like it could have gone somewhere great, but was flimsy and hard to connect with any of the characters. By this point I’m putting myself in a mind set to settle in for the long haul and try to make the best of it since I’d received a free copy for an honest review. THEN, lo and behold, when I’m least expecting it, the story starts coming together and before I realize it, I’m captivated by where the story is going, as well as the development of the characters. ~ Even the narration has come alive by now. Seriously, it is like two completely different books and I’m so glad that I finished the book.

Fallon is about angels and demons, so the premise is a familiar one. However, the world building was a bit different than in other stories, which added to some of the enjoyment. I still have questions about Fallon and how she became the skilled warrior while many others did not have nearly her same abilities. However, there are many books I finish, enjoy – and still have unanswered questions, so I’ll cut this one a break too. Despite the somewhat bumpy start, I ended up enjoying Fallon enough to want to venture to the next book in the Angels of the Knights series.

Lastly, maybe it’s the coffee lover in me but when the narrator said “Fallon, throw me your aventi”, I swear I heard -- “Fallon, order me a venti!”

As an angels and demons book, this one's pretty good. I've read a few and many seem to draw away from the Christian theme, but this one seemed to embrace it. People who die are guided to heaven (Emperica in this story) and welcomed into the arms of the Creator. There, they are free to choose one of four callings, one of which strips the angel of their wings and sends them back to earth to battle the evil Kjin (or demons) and protect people from them.

This is the calling that Fallon chooses when she realizes that it was Kjin who were responsible for the death of her family and herself. Fallon is a strong woman, who is both powerful and fearless, yet still subject to emotions, doubts, and attraction. As she investigates an abnormal gathering of Kjin in a small college town, she finds herself unavoidably attracted to Kade, a handsome ex-cop who unknowingly worked with her predessesor to fight the growing threat.

Despite the instant connection between the two, I still enjoyed the romance and wanted the two to make it. The story is well-written and well-paced with plenty of action, romance and danger. The angelic technology and caste system is interesting, and the hints of growing danger and organizing Kjin build up strongly to the next installment, Blane, without ending in a cliffhanger.

Overall, I liked this story, but some might find the instant love a bit of a turn off. Still, the angelic science fiction spin is quite original, and the clean approach to the romance makes this a good choice for young adult Christian readers. And, I must say I love that cover art.

I picked up a free copy of this book from Amazon so that I could read and review it for a blog tour post.

I could not put this 5 STAR book down – I read it in one day! “I’m just going to read one more line…” (YEAH RIGHT!) One more line turned into the whole book. It was just sooo good! It was a YA Paranormal Romance. I think EVERYONE should be checking out Valerie Zambito’s books right now! I cannot wait until the second book in this series, “Angels of the Knights – Blane” comes out because I will most definitely want to read and review that one too. I also added her “Island Shifters” series to my “To Be Read” list because I love her writing style so much. Yup, she is just that good! Oh yeah – the cover was absolutely beautiful! So, that pretty much covers it, every aspect of “Angels of the Knights – Fallon” completely rocks!

So, this book is about a girl named Fallon Angell whom died in a home invasion when she was just 16 years old along with the rest of her family. When she arrived in Emperica (Heaven) she was an Angel but had to choose a specific caste of Angels that she wanted to join. The choices were: the Patrit Caste (main society angels), Sentinel Caste (guardian angels), Aegian Caste (Emperica’s guides), and the Knight Caste (warrior angels). Fallon immediately chose to become a Knight so she could aid the Creator (God) in his battle against evil, as well as for her own personal reason. Knights have to train for 30 plus years in Emperica before returning to Earth to fight and destroy the evil Kjin. A Kjin is “’Pure evil. Before Mordeaux, or hell, was sealed centuries ago, demons were unleashed into the world and, to this day, they continue to walk the earth causing death and destruction’” (Page 6). Before a Knight returns to earth, their angel wings are clipped so they can appear human. They are giving an Aventi, a sword of light, and also a Kur (activates the Aventi and alerts the Knights of Kjin) to defeat the evil demons. The Kjin appear to be regular humans because the bodies are human, while the demon possesses their soul. Fallon Angell is one of the best warriors in the Knight Caste. She has killed so many Kjin that they have taken notice.

Fallon has never really fit in with the people on Earth because she died in 1978 and things are a lot different in the new millennium. Though she appears to be 19 years old, she is really a 50 year old woman. She was always used to being alone – until she met former cop Kade Royce. There was an instant connection between Fallon and Kade and their relationship moved super-fast. Fallon was reluctant to get in a relationship because she didn’t want Kade put in danger being in her world. Kade wanted to fight right alongside of her though, and she finally agreed. While experiencing the perks of love, Fallon is still battling the Kjin. There has been a lot of unusual activity with the Kjin and it is Fallon’s job to find out why. Well, Fallon and Kade’s job to find out why, but Fallon still wants to keep Kade safe and protect him from evil. Come to find out, the danger was already so close to Kade and he never even knew. Will Fallon and Kade’s relationship survive the dangers of the world? Will Kade’s life survive the dangers? Will Fallon’s…?

Ahhh! I just loved this book! My little summary there cannot even do this book justice. You just have to go and read it yourself. Valerie Zambito is definitely going to be a best-selling author; I think she already deserves a spot. This book elicited so many emotions from me. I found myself smiling, and routing for Fallon and Kade’s love, but I also found myself angry and shocked. It was great. It has been some time now that a book provoked any emotion for me other than the fact that I liked it or I didn’t. But with this book, just when you thought you found out what was going on and who did what, Zambito turned it around and threw another twist in my face. I loved it. I was all, “What?!”…”Oh, wow!”…”Wait, What?!”. As for Fallon and Kade’s relationship, I loved it. At first, I was thinking – “Wow Kade, you waste no time going for what you want” and was surprised how fast the relationship developed. But then, I realized it didn’t matter if it took one day or one year, these two were meant for each other. They are both very special people and they definitely belonged together. I was routing for their love the entire time, through the good and the bad. You are just going to have to read the book and find out what happened with their relationship though.

Okay, now that you are done reading my review…GO BUY THIS BOOK! NOW! Thank you Valerie Zambito for an EXCELLENT 5 STAR READ!

My Thoughts
I liked it. I thought it was nice and short.

The concept of choosing what you want to be when you go to Heaven is amazing, and just like Fallon, I would choose to be a Knight. Meeting the Creator seems extraordinary too, and I really enjoyed reading about that. This was one of those love-at-first-sight kind of stories, and I really wasn't in the mood for that today. It was kind of predictable, but I still liked it.

The last line of the description pissed me off though. "In order for Kade to live, she must destroy him."? *SPOILER ALERT* Uh, there was no 'destroying' involved. All she did was take away his memory, and in the end, it didn't even work. Since it was a spontaneous love, I didn't feel as moved by it as I should have been.

Don't get me wrong, I sort of believe in love at first sight. In real life for other people? Sure. In books and for me? Not really.

It was really short and I finished it quickly, but it was still a nice read.

I ate this book up! I throughly enjoyed the authors style of writing and the new premise this book had. It is the story of Fallon, a sixteen year old girl who, during a home invasion is killed, along with her parents and brother. Fallon dies at the hospital and passes on to Emperica, or what we call Heaven. Here she is able to choose to be one of four types of angel: a patrit, a sentinel, an aegian, or a knight. Knights are, after extensive training, sent back to earth to rid the world of Kjin, which are demons from Mordeaux, a.k.a Hell. See, already you can see how the book is different from the norm.

Fallon decides to be a Knight when she remembers what happened to her the night she died during the ceremony to choose what type of angel you'd like to be. After thirty years of training, and a very painful removal of her wings, Fallon returns to earth. She quickly makes a name for herself when she starts ridding the earth of Kjin left and right. But with the Kjin becoming organized she finds herself in more trouble then she expected. Add in Kade, the hunky human love interest, and things get complicated fast.

As I said before, I ate this book up. It was very quick paced. Fallon quickly become embroiled in the war against good and evil and involved in a deep relationship with Kade. At first I thought the relationship between the two moved quickly, but then I realized the book moves quickly. Also, the character approaches the "fast relationship/love at first sight" dilemma. I'm really looking forward to Blane, the next book in the Angels of the Knights series. I also plan on picking up Valerie Zambito's other books because I loved her writing style.

I was not paid for this review. The author supplied me with a copy of the book in return for an honest review. My opinion was in no way swayed, the thoughts expressed here are my own. Thank you for taking the time to read! -Melissa

When I was first offered the chance to be part of the blog tour for Angels of the Knights-Fallon, I jumped at the chance, because I'm always up for a new angel themed paranormal. Thankfully, the overall story was interesting as well as beguiling. However, I did have a few tiny problems with it.

Let's start with the characters. From the first page, I was enchanted by Fallon's story. I couldn't wait to find out more about her life as a Knight (aka angel warrior). Her back story was sad yet it added a great emotional factor to her desire to be the best Knight out there. What I liked most about Fallon, though, was how dauntless and tough she was. She was always putting herself at risk to save the lives of others, and that said a lot about her character. However, Kade, the main love interest, changed that for the better. Kade was sweet, and I loved seeing more about him as the book continued. I will admit his development as a character was a little shaky, but besides that, I thought Valerie did a decent of enough job of presenting him.

The plot in this was the best part of the book. I loved the idea of Knights and Emperica. It was an interesting take on Heaven and Angels. Plus it allowed the book to move at a rapid speed, as the life of a Knight was never slow or dull. I did have a few tiny problems with it, though. For one, I would have loved some more development and build up to the whole Emperica and Knight world. I felt that it was thrown in my face all at once, rather than having a steady, slow buildup. Plus, I felt that Kade and Fallon's romance was a little sudden. I'm all at love at first sight, but sometimes, I do enjoy a little build up to it all.

Valerie's writing was overly decent. I thought she did a good job with the premise.

In all, even with its problems, Angels of the Knights is still a promising debut. It's not my favorite, but it's definitely something I enjoyed reading and would suggest to angel fans!

This is gonna be a quickie review people.

Ahh... insta-love at it's finest. As soon as Kade sees Fallon, he's in love. No, I'm not kidding. He freaking proposes to her a few days after meeting her. Hahahahaha. Uhm. I'll pass....
Fallon dies and becomes a protector of good on earth. She get's her wings chopped off and declares that she will be loyal to serving good for as long as she can possibly can. This assignment is different than the others because she is not only the hunter but the hunted. I wasn't particularly fond of Fallon or Kade. They were both..they were almost naive. It was a little strange.

Everything in this book was very straight forward and very rushed. Rushed in a book is one of my major pet peeves. So is insta-love.
*sigh*
This book and I just weren't compatible. The ending was very uniformed and rushed. Their relationship felt fake and desperate. (this is all in my opinion) yes, they were in love, but I would have liked them to take their time and not, I don't know....
Anyways. Not for me.

This was a really fun twist on the whole angel/demon thing. Fallon is a strong female lead, very fun to read. Her first love, Kade, is a poor guy who is coming to terms with her being a kickazz chick with a strong sense of right and wrong. He does a fine job of trying to be the man she needs in the midst of killing, twisted family ties and well, that whole she's really an Angel. He has things to learn about himself as well which made their connection a way too fast, crazy bit of love at first sight. Good action, interesting world and I'm looking forward to more adventures with these Angels.

I see where some other reviewers had trouble. It's a total twist on the idea of heaven, and since it's fiction, it's not following any biblical tale proverb by proverb. Thank god... It moves very fast but everything gets explained by the end in a quick happy ending wrap up. This was just a fun read, not meant to be a serious guideline. I totally enjoyed the fanciful take.

I enjoyed this story immensely but I felt that the relationship between Fallon and Kade progressed way to quickly, don't get me wrong there relationship was really cute and of course I was rooting for them to be together its just that it did not grow as it should have. Their relationship was completely rushed I mean honestly if anyone says "I Love You" when you've only been dating for a few days you wouldn't believe it, I wouldn't believe it but like I said their relationship was completely adorable ESPECIALLY with the ending ;) I also wished that the author would have expanded the epilogue or even made the book longer or maybe even make the epilogue into a new book-> because I liked it that much. Overall a very good read.
*on an unrelated note I loved the Buffalo reference*

Fallon lost her life at the age of sixteen. She is now a Knight and an Angel and her job is to kill evil Kjins from roaming freely on the surface of the earth but when her path crosses the one of Kade, she finds herself being torn between love and duty.

I have never read a book with such juvenile writing. It was so painful to read. Seriously, what's up with the instalove? Fallon just met Kade and she's like " OMG I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. I FEEL THE CONNECTION. WE ARE TOTALLY MEANT FOR EACH OTHER." I bet I can already predict the ending.

I think Zambito was trying a little to hard to make us love the characters. I can barely even consider that storyline a plot.

Not Believable

*****Spoilers*****

This book had lots of potential but fell flat for me. Fallon was just not what I expected from a Knight, it was more teenage angst and falling into traps I could see from several years away. She's constantly pushing Kade away and even when she realizes she needs help, doesn't contact other Knights to help her but rushes foolishly in. Then believes her enemy when they threatened Kade and the kids and sends them away. But for some reason, when they finally have her captured, the Kihn didn't kill her but kept her?! Wait, hunh?!! After them all being in Alden to kill her and trying to blow her up? Just unbelievable.

Unfortunately, not convincing

I liked the story and the idea of warrior angels on earth however, I found the characters not convincing.

I would have liked to learn more about them and their history and I found their change towards believing into the unbelievable thing with angels and demons much too fast

The love story involved and the fight between good and evil kept me reading though.

WOW. Let me start by saying this was a new concept for me in the supernatural/paranormal realm and boy it didn't dissapoint! This book had so much in it! Loyalty, love, acceptance, sacrifice! I loved the angel demon play and the human involvment! I absolutely fell in love from the begining! This book will have you begging for more and yet feeling absolutely okay with how it ended.

I have had this book for a while sitting on my desk and decided I needed to pick it up. It was an easy couple hours of reading.

This story is a little bit of a twist on Heaven and Hell, angels and demons and the fight for good!

We start off with the death of Fallon in 1978 at the age of 16 along with her family. She goes to Heaven or Emperica as it’s called in the book. She learns that she can choose what kind of angel she wants to be. There are four groups or castes of angels; Patrits (or Paties which handle administrative affairs), Sentinels (guardian angels), Aegians (the guides leading new angels to the gates) and Knights (which are the warrior angels). Fallon quickly chooses Knights because she remembers that she and her family were killed by Kjins (demons) and she wants to fight in the battle of good and evil. This means she will return to earth after a 30 year training period in a mortal body with special gifts. She returns the same age as she was when she died. She will also lose the wings she just received.

When she returns, we are into her 3rd year on earth. She is a very fierce Knight. She also feels inadequate as a human because she has experience on earth from the 70’s, so she doesn’t talk much. She has 3 friends from Emperica, who we see occasionally in the book and they are excellent friends or angels.

Her newest assignment takes her to a small college town and lives in a house. She is to enroll as a college student and search for a particular Kjin and kill him. Kjin are demons that possess bodies to do their bidding. They are told that the Kjin do not fight together but she kills one the first night she is there and is told that is not the one she is after by the her contact, Father Tomas. He knows exactly who the target is, Marc Ellis the president and professor at the school she is to attend. Why is there more than one kjin in the same area?

Her home is next door to Kade. Sweet Kade, he is a hero to me. He is selfless and kind. He also has Intuit tendencies and can see angelic and demonic energies. He quickly falls for Fallon. She is falling for him too but she is torn because of her duty. She is also torn because she finds out that Kade’s uncle is no other than her target, Marc Ellis.

There is a lot of action and betrayal and several different things going on. Lots of mystery to figure out. There were stories about Father Tomas’s background and his alter boy’s behavior. How long has Marc Ellis’s body been possessed by a demon? What will Fallon decide to do about Kade? She can erase his memories so that he won’t remember anything, because he learns everything about her. I like that I didn’t see some things coming. I like good vs. evil stories. I loved the vivid way the author describes the world..

I just wanted to see the relationship between Kade and Fallon go a little slower. I mean it was like instant love. I had a hard time feeling it. He was always a perfect gentleman and never would compromise her desire to remain a virgin until marriage. But she also didn’t see that marriage would ever be an option to her. She didn’t feel she should allow herself to fall in love because of who she was and what her job was. But Father Tomas told her it was a gift. I would have to agree, love is a gift.

Review first featured on my blog: my link text

Angels of the Knights isn't your typical fallen angel book. These angels choose to come to Earth and fight the Kjin. They are warriors fighting demons to save the human race. When Fallon and her family are killed she is taken to Emperica, aka heaven, and decides to become one of the warriors. Once her training is finally over she is sent to Earth to fulfill her destiny.

Fallon is such a strong character and fights with all her strength against evil, even risking her own life. She travels everywhere killing the Kjin before they can kill any more humans. She's on a very important assignment when she meets the incredibly sexy Kade Royce. While reading the book all I could think was how much of a gentlemen he was. I need my own personal Kade. They worked so well together and understood each other. Julian, another Knight, was one of my favorite characters. He was so charismatic and although we only get to read about him in very brief moments I couldn't help but fall for him.The evil characters were truly evil, especially Marc Ellis and his group of "soldier" Kjins. You can't help yourself but to want to fight along side Fallon to defeat these awful men.

One thing I really loved about this book was that the main characters were college age. I haven't read many books that fall into the New Adult category but I loved it. Being in college myself it was great to read about people my own age. Fallon was 19 and Kade was around 22 or 23. Now I want to get right into more books about college age main characters.

The only thing I had a bit of trouble with in this book was that Kade and Fallon's love developed basically within the time span of a few days. After that they were inseparable and completely devoted to each other. It wasn't a horrible thing because I was rooting for their relationship but it was just a bit rushed for my liking.

That said, this is an amazing book. I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked up this book, but I was completely blown away. The action is constant throughout the story and the characters are very easy to relate to. I was rooting for them the entire way through. The ending will tear your heart out and then hand it back. I was at the edge of my seat as I read the last half of the book and can't wait for the second one. We got a bit of a sneak peek of the character it will feature in the epilogue. If you want a quick action packed read I suggest you go get this book now!

My review:

Angels of the Knights by Valerie Zambito was a very nice surprise. It was quick paced, well-written and with fascinating settings! It's a page turner which you don't want to put down and I am looking very much forward to Valerie Zambito's upcoming releases.

The story starts with the heroine Fallon dying during home invasion. She wakes up in Emperica as an angel and when she is faced with the choice which Caste to pick out of four: Patrit, Sentinel, Aegian or Knights, her choice is very clear. She still feels connected to the mortals and she has a desire of helping the Creator fighting the evil, she makes probably the hardest choice of becoming a Knight.

Fallon is stripped (clipped) off her wings and sent back to the mortal realm, where she meets a young man called Kade. Kade changes Fallon's life and brings her to face the truth about her feelings.

There were quite many things I loved about the plot. Let's start with the settings and world the author has created. I think even though it might sound familiar to so many other worlds, I think it was unique. I truly enjoyed how the author named the places - Emperica which is Heaven, Mordeaux, which is Hell, Aventi - the sword of light etc. I liked the the fantasy world in her book and I felt spelled by the creatures (both good and evil) in Angels of the Knights.

I also loved how the fight between good and evil was described in the novel and I think the author did wonderful work with bringing Fallon from 1978 when she died to the world now. It created a nice change of the scenes and also few surprises.

I guess that there might be readers who think that the relationship between Fallon and Kade was developing too quickly, but it suited nicely into the surroundings - the whole book was quick paced. I liked how Kade went after what he wanted.

Angels of the Knights by Valerie Zambito is a gem between YA fantasy world - it has lovable characters, incredible world and settings, lot of action and a sizzling romance. I would definitely recommend Angels of the Knights: Fallon to any readers who enjoy YA fantasy!

I really, really enjoyed this book. Was such a change of pace from some of the previous books I have been reading. Valerie really did an amazing job writing this. I was hoping for something epic, after having read the description and you really do end up getting a really epic story. I was actually really surprised just how exciting and action pact it turned out to be.

The story was insane, it start's off with the murder of Fallon and her family. And this is where the story takes a really strange and interesting turn. I'm not going to go into a massive about of detail, because this story is very spoiler heavy and I don't want to ruin anything for potential readers. I will say that if you want an intense story that will take you for an amazing action packed ride then this is a perfect book for you. Once Fallon leaves Emperica to head back to earth as a Knight, you better strap yourself in for the ride.

Fallon and Kade were great characters, they were both really easy to connect to and you could easily find yourself really get caught up with what was going on between them. They are far from the only characters in this book though, and there are some pretty evil characters. Marc Ellis being the prime one. I can't even begin to explain to you how evil this guy is. I think Valerie did an amazing job crafting her characters though, they were all enjoyable in their own unique way.

The ending was just as good as the rest of the book, especially with the epilogue. It leave you with a very small amount of information about a character that will be the focus of the next book in the series and I thought that was really cool. All in all, Valerie did a great job with this book. There were a few moments I did get a little bored, but things quickly picked back up and got back to all the action.

If you think that this book sounds like something you'd enjoy. I would highly suggest that you pick it up. It's not a very long book at all, so if you're looking for a very quick and exciting book to read this is one book you should really give a shot.

Angels of the Knights: Fallon was a great beginning to a new series by one of my favorite authors, Valerie Zambito. The book is about a girl named Fallon. One night, people break into her house and murder her and her family. She becomes an angel who is determined to stop all of the evil demons on earth, the Kjin. The caste system in heaven was a little confusing to keep straight at first. However, once it was explained more thoroughly I picked it up quickly. I thought it was cool how Fallon's full name, Fallon Angell, sounds like fallen angel. The plot flowed smoothly. It was easy to understand, other than the caste system. I only found one grammar mistake. I wish that the book would have went into more detail about Fallon's classes. However, I understand that school wasn't important to Fallon. It was just a cover for her mission. The characters were well written. My favorite character was Father Tomas. I liked his attitude. He was always there to help Fallon. His faith was outstanding. After all the hardships he faced, he never turned his back on the Creator. If anything, it made Tomas even more devoted to him. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Blane, and find out what happens next.
