OhhhhhmyyyyGoooodddd! Cuteness overload!

description

Oh Arthur! You, you are just so you! I loved this and am totally sticking with my initial thought of loving the stories set in this time frame better than modern stories.

Well played. Really.

Merthur fanfic.

I couldn't get to grips with it, the characters didn't engage me at all and it felt like the story was trying too hard to be clever and witty.

Very sweet and frequently hilarious. But also frequently over-the-top in its attempts to be hilarious. Still very sweet.

Some Favorite Quotes:

Arthur set his mouth in a line, because he had long ago made it a rule to keep his face impassive during understatements such as

"Arthur," said Merlin. "Can I ask you something?"
"Merlin," said Arthur. "Can I stop you?"

Gaius' twenty-minute speech on

said Arthur, trying to keep his false smile authentically wide while also attempting to modulate it so that it did not spill over into a sign of oncoming madness.

Aww that was adorable. Makes the merthur feels happy.

But only Merlin would have the misfortune to have four suitors and not know about it until he's the one needed for a match. Love that Arthur felt jealous of the four thinking he was trying his best to keep Merlin all to himself not knowing people were vying for his affections.

hard-to-follow, self indulgent prose marred by inconsistent grammar doesn't usually make for a fun read, but I thought this was delightful.

if only the author knew how to use quotation marks!

Merthur
An original, quite romantic and also funny Merthur fanfic. I really liked conflicted Arthur and the complex relationship. Too short obviously ^_^
