Chase Leery is an overworked cardiac surgeon with a group of best friends that have an opinion and a reason for everything. When she meets a new artist named Remy Sheridan at her best friend’s art gallery she is captivated by the reclusive woman. Remy disappears as quickly as she appears and barely says two words when they see each other. It’s not long before Remy and Chase begin meeting casually like ships passing through the night, until Chase gets frustrated with being the second choice and pushes her away.
When Chase finds out why Remy is so sheltered will she put her career on the line to help her or is it too difficult to love someone with a secluded heart?
I find with Grayson her stories are hit or miss for me. I liked what this story was about but for some reason the story fell flat for me. I dont know if it was the MCs or the secondary characters or maybe the back and forth that seemed way to dramatic or possibly the repetitive nature of some the text but something kept me from liking this story fully. I give it 2.5* and an extra .5* cause it's a Scribd read.
I am not impressed by this book because of the poor writing and a number of grammatical errors. I have read some other books by this author so was disappointedly surprised.
