His first short story written in third grade, the now classic "Close Encounters of the Turd Kind," was sold to his next door neighbor for a quarter. The neighbor promptly demanded a refund. An unhealthy obsession with the writings of Neil Gaiman, Christopher Moore, and Terry Pratchett have left his mind warped and broken.
He spends most of his evening swilling down coffee while tapping at a keyboard under the watchful eyes of his kittens. They are there to make sure he doesn't snap. He likes to write fantasy for adults and teens.
The Dark Lands Trilogy are teen fantasies with a dark edge (this is code for people die). A mix of fantasy, horror, and a touch of romance for good measure. All three books in the trilogy will be available this year. After which he will publish a genre crossing adult fantasy which mixes urban crime, politics, and a good old fashioned mystery.

The 3 remaining main characters, Tiffany, Markus and Jessica are each leading their groups closer to an end to the shadow men's dominance. Tiffany works with the trolleks (spelled wrong I'm sure) to free their queen and liberate their home city, Markus gathers an army of regular kids and Incarnators, and Jessica works with Bolo in to take down the head shadow man.
A new character, a small boy named Mouse is introduced, and he has some power of his own, which leads him eventually to one of the two final battles.
I found the pace of the book to be excellent, and the story was wrapped up well. I'm actually a bit disappointed that there are no more books in this series to read, but glad to see that the story won't be strung out over 7 or 8 books to the point where no one cares anymore.
