It’s difficult to write a review for a book that doesn’t live up to a 5-star man. Walter Cronkite and his story is exceptional and worth the read in order to get to know the man and all his achievements. He lived a fabulous life and at times I was jealous of his experiences and successes.

At times, the author veers off into places not fully reflective of Walter. I found myself sighing trying to get through passages that seemed to be off topic. I skipped through areas of the book that I found too painful to read hoping I didn’t miss knowing more about this extraordinary man.

Walter Cronkite was someone I began to admire as young adult and I still do. For that I give the book 5-stars.
