Whether it's your first trip or your tenth, the Collected Travele r books are indispensable, and meant to be the first volumes you turn to when planning your journeys.
I loved this series of collected travel essays when they first came out in the late 90s/early 2000s. Some of the essays were still be relevant today, but the passage of time was too much for others. I wish there was an up-to-date version of these! I also read many of the essays from the Southwest France volume in preparation for our trip.
