It’s Christmastime, and surprised and miracles abound! Margaret is decorating her gallery windows and preparing her shop for the annual Christmas Stroll, when mysterious flashes from Orlean Point Light lead her to a young boy drawing a masterful rendering of the lighthouse. Margaret feels a strong urge to reach out to this gifted young artist, but can she gain his confidence and help bring about a much-needed miracle for him and his broken family?

Meanwhile, Diane’s already busy schedule is taxed when she takes in some unexpected guests and nervously accepts an invitation to speak before a group about her writing. Shelley is trying to juggle holiday orders, an overexcited four-year-old who can’t wait for Santa Claus, and a failing boiler that leads to worse problems. Beverly makes an astonishing discovery about Jeff Mackenzie and learns the real story of Edward Maker’s involvement with Orlean Point. And when the four friends gather one stormy day to pray for Edward, they experience yet another miracle or Marble Cove.

This is book 7, I had read the first 5 and missed book 6, the story has advanced some. Shelley is getting a commercial kitchen at her home from her father-in-law, she will just have to buy the appliances. She is tired of having to do the baking after hours at the cafe, overworked and stressed she wants some help but Dan says no. She does get some help from Margaret’s daughter.0When her boiler goes out she tries to light a fire in the fireplace and starts her home on fire. Dan is still working two part time jobs. Diane is having to rewrite several chapters in her book before it can be published. Beverly learns the truth behind Edward Marker’s involvement with the lighthouse. Margaret friends a small boy who is interested in painting and brings his family together.

This is another Guidepost cozy mystery set in Maine with four good friends: Diane, Beverly, Margaret and Shelley. It's Christmas time and all four are loaded with busy schedules. They are still seeing lights from the Orlean Point Lighthouse that is no longer in use as well as trying to figure out what Edward Maker's comment "I'm sorry" etched in the concrete foundation of the lighthouse means. Margaret also has a mysterious youngster that keeps showing up at her art gallery but won't give her any information about himself.

Marble Cove is a quintessential small town filled with wonderful, quirky, caring people who make these mysteries an enjoyable read. Patti Berg is a new author to me (all of these books are written by a variety of Christian authors), and I definitely enjoyed her spin on this Christmas cozy.

A Christmas story at Christmas time! I read these books in order, and it was just a coincidence that this happened. This story focuses on the trials and tribulations of the holiday season and trying to make everything perfect. The description of the town's holiday decorations makes you want to go visit a little town in Maine. Another delightful read that will warm your heart during the holiday season.

It is interesting to read this book series written by a group of authors with each adding some depth to one or more of the characters in each book. This book allowed us to get to know Beverly better.

This is an exceptional book of friendship, love, and caring for others. It really touched me. Although I read it in the springtime, it is a lovely Christmas story.

At first it seemed a little strange reading a Christmas story here in May, but by the time I was into the book I was singing the Christmas songs as I read. So much going on in this book, always mysteries about the beloved lighthouse and then all the ups and downs in the characters lives.I think there are characters in this series that everyone can identify with from the young woman with downs syndrome, the young mother with two small children, the artist, the writer, other friends and husbands. So glad I found these books at Goodwill and I have several more to go before I have to start looking for others in the series. Just amazes me each book has been written by a different author but they keep the characters and the story line flowing.
