easy to read book on the basics of organisational behaviour. Organised into relevant groupings including people-centred organisations, culture, socialization, diversity, motivation, group dynamics etc. Plenty of examples.
It's the first time I'm reading about this topic and I must say I really enjoyed it. Very well written, straight to the point and rich in content. I feel like I have a new and wider viewpoint on dynamics at work.
The layout of the book bothers me almost as much as the content... it is reminiscent of 4th grade text books. Don't get me wrong, I loved the 4th grade. But I'm in GRAD SCHOOL. Something's not right.
Overall the information was good and the class that I had in conjunction with it was great, but the text itself felt dry and boring. There were some nice 'real-life' examples but they seemed to just scratch the surface of the topic instead of exploring it.
