The Ierendi princess, Corinna, has disappeared. She set sail abourd a ship of the Minrothad Guilds - the guild's ships which have been pirated and plundered for may weeks. Trade is horribly disrupted as many ships leave, never to be seen again. The guild masters now call for adventurers of great skill and renown. They offer small fortunes to any who can help them discover who is pirating their ships. But most importantly, to any who can rescue the princess. Can you and your party of adventureres defeat the dangers which lurk in the dark depths of a terrifying sea? Or, will you find a watery grave within the cold confines of a murky sea floor? This game adventure contains special rules for underwater adventuring.
Every time I hear "if the party agrees to give up their weapons and equipment first" my eyes narrow and I develop an annoyed look.
I like raft "cities" like the one in the game. In certain situations, 20 people would get water breathing cast on them to go attack or defend. I guess that kind of has to be done in an underwater adventure though.
This module gets some extra credit for its water/underwater setting. Unlike some of the other modules in the series, I felt that the plot actually held together and would present fair but not necessarily overwhelming challenges for a party. There are a few trapped areas that seem like they would be very deadly, but overall this was an interesting read and seems like a playable adventure. The work to convert it to a modern system might be substantial, however.
