A more than decent Angela's secret origins tale and the flashbacks were deliciously brutal ones, but you can really see how McElroy is a screen-writer turned comic-book author from his sometimes too heavy dialogues.

Artist Dwayne Turner is back in great shape after his disappointing (but not too much) take on the urban horror atmospheres in Spawn Curse of the Spawn Volume 2: Blood & Sutures.

There's really ain't no need nor reason to explain everything what happens in a panel of a comic. But apparently McElroy's world there is every reason to do so. Damn this was heavy reading.

this was a deceant read explaining how Angela was created .. basically from the soul's of other woman who have past away an suffered an untimely death. the art was pretty good aldough I felt Angela's helmet having both horn's & wing's was a bit overkill. u travel back an forth from her early mission's to earn her place as an Angel & the present time in a place that is not earth so it can get a bit confusing. I give this a 7.0/10
