I met Pat in person recently. Id read his book. But he kindly supplied me with a copy.
It covers his deployment to Vietnam 1968. Long Tan. Some snippets of him growing up and his early army career and the likely impact of Agent Orange on his and the rest of his Vietnam cohort. An excellent read.

A really vivid and authentic account of a New Zealand artilleryman’s experience of the Vietnam War. Refreshingly honest and unpolished in some ways. Great read to provide some context to broader (and still ongoing) discussions in New Zealand around the impacts of service in Vietnam.
