Things are turned upside down since the Rogues are deputized and the Flash is headed to prison! Everything is being manipulated by a mastermind behind the scenes, but even he didn’t plan on a prison riot at Iron Heights caused by an attempt to free the Flash!

This was a fun issue. Lot of action, some drama, and a little humor, all leading up to a few surprises at the end! Flash has it rough when the Rogues actually use some teamwork and strategy trying to take him down again. Always nice to see them use some smarts instead of just trying to slug it out. With a group like that they don’t all get a lot of “screen time” but Jensen maximizes even the smallest appearance. Trickster gets the most spotlight, but that works for me since he’s the newest and youngest. Nice to see a little more of what makes him tick.

I’m intrigued by the villainous reveal at the end of the story. Seems a bit out of character, but I’m sure the next issue will provide some backstory to the whole scheme, so I’ll reserve judgement. It’s interesting and thought-provoking, so it’s a “win” already in that regard.

There’s a short back-up story featuring Wally West that dovetails with the main story. It’s a cute story about him learning about his new powers and exploring what it means to him. Fun little page-filler that teases the future.

The whole thing is a solid read that pulls me forward to the next issue.
