Ted Andrews

A leader in the human potential, metaphysical, and psychic fields, he wrote over 36 books which have been translated into more than two dozen foreign languages. He was featured on many national and local TV and radio programs every year. He won more Visionary Awards than any other author.
Ted was a worldwide acclaimed speaker and teacher. Probably best known for his work with animals, Ted held state and federal permits to work with birds of prey. He performed wildlife rescue and worked in wildlife rehabilitation and education. He conducted animal education and storytelling programs with his animals in school classrooms throughout the year, giving freely of his own time and expense to help young people discover the wonder of animals and nature. In his spare time, he enjoyed hanging out with his menagerie of animals, training and playing with his horses and ballroom dancing.

January 25, 2010I am finally reading something that resonates more with my experience of Jesus and Christ personally in my life that helps me to see how that can be alongside the erstwhile seemingly exasperatingly inconsistencies and outright contradictions rife in the Bible.
When read as a series of Mystery School writings and teachingsm, within that long tradition, the New Testament suddenly comes clear to me, springs to life with the deeper esoteric truths that I have always experientially known but had been taught were nonsense at best and heretical at worst!
Yet all the mental gymnastics required to make sense out of the Bible, make huge conceptual leaps and force connections, have cumulatively caused me to bag it for years other than isolated verses that always spoke very heartfully to me. But as a literal guidebook for living it has got to be one of the most obtuse, confusing and Obfuscating pieces of writing I have ever encountered!
Taken as an esoteric sort of literature and understanding the traditions of the mystery school teachers and teachings, it suddenly becomes crystal clear in the main! Hallelujah!

Ted Andrews was rumored to have lived in my area. When he passed away, we lost an affectionate intelligent being that wrote simply, succinctly, and truthfully.
I pulled this book off the shelf of a New Agey store, and like a good bookstore story, I do feel it chose me. My intellectual background swims with the Mysteries Andrews writes about so it me, this book was a natural progression and in some ways a good reminder of where I am on my spiritual path.
I wouldn't read this as a book as its more like a workbook, and as far as workbooks goes, this one is enlightening, serious, and Mysterious...

That which is hidden is not lost. We only have to seek and we shall find. This work helped me to understand what I believe and more importantly why I believe it.
