In this third book of the Whispering Pines series, Carlson pens a story of love, new and renewed, and of God's redemptive tenderness. Maggie didn't come to Oregon looking for love, but she may have found it with Jed Whitewater. Or did she? She soon wonders if Jed will ever be able to share his heart with her.

This book was so packed with uplifting and challenging events. I don't know how the author keeps adding to the characters and storyline. Yet another book that I tried not to rush to the end, to find out what happened. This series would make a great T V show. On to the next book!!!
This book is very well written. It kept my internet all the way through. Looking forward to reading the final book in this series. Melody Carlson writes a great story.
Not a very good book. It’s almost as if the Author doesn’t want you to like her characters. All Maggie does is get put aside over and over for Jed’s drama, Leah, his x. Maggie pretty much stalks him instead of taking hints. Maggie is very judgmental but thinks everyone else is. Maggie likes being a door mat.
This is the third book in the Whispering Pines series. The series follows Maggie and her son Spencer and all the people in their lives since their cross-country move from Los Angeles to a small town in Oregon. Follows the developing relationship between Maggie and Jed, as well as the drama of small town life.
The continuing series of a widow starting her life over as an editor in a small mountain town is very readable. Carlson's books are classified as Christian fiction and the characters are fairly realistic though life is never quite so simple in the short time covered in her books.
This third book in the Whispering Pines series continues the story of Maggie Carpenter, her family and friends, and her newspaper The Pine Cone. Once again Melody Carlson does a very good job of probing relationships and feelings between people.
