I read a book on the subject not so long ago, so I have some basis for comparison. On the other hand, I have not yet had the opportunity to pick up a writing that exclusively related to men's anger management, this was the first. It is well known that men and women have different temperaments, which is why I paid attention to this book and did not regret taking the time to read it, I really liked it, I was enriched with a lot of new information.
The work consists of seven major chapters. Along these parts, we can gain insight, for exapmle, what anger is, what we mean by anger management, or what effects anger can have on our emotional and physical health. There is also talk about emotional intelligence, which I think is very useful, because we still don't talk about it enough, IQ is still what defines a person in many ways, which I think is a very wrong perception. In the middle of the book, various environmental factors, such as family, workplace, social, are also brought up in relation to anger, and in the second half of the book, further non-negligible topics are also discussed. Such as short- and long-term strategies for anger management, Avoidance, timing and other different alternatives.
All in all, I dare to say that I liked the book and that the writing fills in some gaps, at least I haven't come across anything similar, which deals with men's anger management and tries to find solutions to related problems and gives useful advice. I am glad that I could finally read a book specifically about the male gender within an already complex topic. I recommend it to all men who know that sometimes it doesn't take much to fly into rage and get out of tolerance in certain situations. I also recommend it to those women whose partner or child may have a similar nature. I suggest this book to them in order to see if, as a result of what they read in the book, they will better understand and learn to deal with such people for the sake of best possible coexistence and peace.
I didn’t expect much when I picked this up. I thought I’d skim it. But this book surprised me—some of the examples hit close to home. As men, we often keep things inside. Then, they can explode with anger at the wrong time or in the wrong place.
What I liked most was how clear and relatable it was. The author avoids lecturing and uses simple terms. He explains what anger is, where it comes from, and how to manage it before it takes over. Even the simplest things—like breathing exercises or simply pausing before reacting—proved to be useful.
This book isn’t about ignoring anger. It teaches you how to manage it. You’ll learn to manage anger without harming your relationships or compromising your peace of mind. If you’re a guy wanting to understand yourself better or stop snapping at loved ones, give this a try. It’s worth the effort.
Wow, this book is a game-changer for guys like me! "Anger Management for Men" by Riley Hunt is like having a personal coach in your pocket. I love how it breaks down anger issues into manageable steps. The real-life examples hit close to home, and the coping strategies are super practical. It's not just about controlling anger; it's about understanding yourself better. If you're a guy struggling with anger, this book is your new best friend. Trust me, it's worth every page!
