Lawson Lovers Series #3

You've Always Been Mine

Rate this book
Life should be smooth sailing. I’m rich, successful, and women don’t hesitate to show interest in me. The only problem? None of them are her.

--♥--

I’ve been in love with my childhood best friend for over a decade. She gets me like no one else. Even after going to different colleges and dating other people, nothing's changed how I feel about her.

But when I finally have the chance to be with her, my life is falling apart and I let her slip through my fingers.

Months pass. I find myself back in our hometown, and fate keeps throwing us into each other's paths. Sparks reignite and hope slowly begins to grow.

Is this our second chance at romance? Or will our past ruin this shot at happiness?

--♥--

You’ve Always Been Mine is book three in the Lawson Lovers Series. It is a standalone novel with no cliffhanger.

I've really enjoyed the Lawson books and getting to know each member of the family. Derek and Olivia have each gone through some life-altering events that they are working through healing from. I loved how they grew up together as best friends and was so sad to see the reasons why they drifted apart. It was great to see them communicate as adults so they could get to know each other again and see if they worked. I really loved seeing the characters from the other novels, and their life updates made me so happy. These are standalone books, but I would not be upset if each one spun off into a series. I need more of these characters!

this book felt kind of mediocre as compared to the previous books in the series. not only the execution lacks development, execution plus the characters both were really superficial. for example. the side character guy who was interested in the heroine, ask her out on a date, then heroine got reprimanded by her boss for dating this guy who works with them yada yada, and after that the guy totally disappear from the story. like huh??? additionally, the characters felt rather childish regardless of whether when they were in younger or as an adult. overall, the book just makes me wanna sleep.

My least favorite of the series. Derek and Olivia have been childhood friends. They've both been through hard things in their life, but through miscommunication, and lack of communication, the friendship is almost gone. Then in one chapter, everything is basically resolved? Not likely. The book felt rushed and childish.

You've Always Been Mine

Lawson Lovers series book 3. The most delightful read. These two have history and delicious chemistry. Childhood best friends that let time space get the better of them. But when they get together, it's explosive. Dramatic, angsty, and oh so tingle worthy. A great end to the series.

straight to the point.

If you haven’t read the other two books, I think you’ll be lost. But this was a quick straight to the point wrap up of the series.
Didn’t drag anything out. A quick 200 pages.
Spice was very very low🌶️. Like maybe 1 scene with almost no detail.

I enjoyed this series. But I if you’re looking for spice, I wouldn’t count this as that.

half a book

Felt extremely rushed compared to the first 2 books. Significantly shorter too. Disappointed as I loved the other books and felt like a full book would’ve done the characters more justice

It's rushed

It felt far too short and it's a rip off being the SAME price as the two books before which were full side books! It reads more like a first draft before a writer fills it out. A disappointment coz I was looking forward to this book

Achy

They were best friends in school. Feelings turned to love, but neither expressed it. They meet again years later at a family wedding.... then nothing for 1 1/2 years... the was intense angst. Great book, even with the suffering.

heartbreak

The wonders of love but the heartbreak of a loss of life. Only to get a renewed chance. All ends well
