Diesel : The Breadcrumbs Series Book Two

Rate this book
Diesel is a Coalman brother who lives up to his name. Strong in character, he’s not easily shaken; even if it seems the world is watching while he loves the woman of his brother’s past. With the birth of their first child together, a home is made, or so he thought. Raising his daughter is challenging enough, but watching the love of his life suffer can test anyone’s gangster.

Denim has seen more than her fair share of tribulations. After losing her son to violence there was no way she could push her grief aside for the promise of new life or the birth of her daughter. Her guilt was relentless, her motherly instincts refused to surface, and a current diagnosis promises yet another emotional uphill battle. However, making a new friend could be what she needs to bring her back to life.

Will Denim crumble or will Diesel be able to save their family?

Wow what an amazing book 2!! We got a glimpse into the world of Denim and Diesel in book 1 and I was excited to see that book 2 centered around them. These two had a challenging journey to say the least and it was beautiful to read about their bond as they navigated through loss, grief and depression. Diesel really stepped up as the man Denim needed to get through a heartache I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. She had some rough moments but in the end, love, therapy and healing brought her to the other side better than ever!

I loved the updates on Diamond and Aziz as well as Sebastian and Henna! I can’t wait to read about Black and Jill and hope we get a book from Tristian and Red too! I love these brother and look forward to getting to know their family even more!

BC2 was a really good read. It’s emotional in many ways that bring sadness and then joy comes in the morning. Denim is grieving loss and life. She is going through a monstrously difficult time and her pain is evident. She is disconnected from life and cannot find her way. It was hard to read her journey and not feel for her, but even darkness can’t exist without light and Diesel is that light to pull her from her sunken place.

Diesel is Bae, he’s patience, calming, protective, nurturing, a provider and in love with Denim. I love that he does everything that it would take two people to do in order to care for the ones he love. I think he exemplifies what a responsible supportive grown man does for his family, and remains faithful throughout.

This was a heartfelt, emotional with some very loving and sexy moments. It was a heavy read mentally that displayed various forms of love during some challenging moments and the author did a fantastic depiction showing the journey through depression, a necessary topic to shine a light on any woman who maybe suffering. Please seek help if you are feeling lost from the world and the people you love. A great follow up to Breadcrumbs 1 and I look forward to book 3….

Ashantay! I just want to hug you boo, you did the damn thang with this one! First, I wanted to just break down during the prologue! My heart cried for Denim as she tried to navigate what happened! She knew what she needed to do, but didn’t have the strength to let go! 💔 Diesel! He did all he could to be there and lift up Denim, while he was fighting his own grief! Denim just continued to fall deeper into despair, and was not able to pull herself out! Not speaking, no emotion, barely eating, just being! I can’t imagine wanting to love on your baby, and not have a connection to the child! 😢 Diesel stood strong through it all! Took care of Dream, and supported Denim as much as it tore him apart! The emotions that you brought to the surface during this read ma'am, still have me teary after taking a few moments to process! 😣 Diesel finally gets Denim to seek help, and she finds her lifeline; in the form of Red! Lawd, Red was a riot! I loved her spirit! Having gone through her own trauma as well, she understood Denim and vowed to help her. That friendship meant everything to Denim, and set her on the path to healing! Diesel is a hell of a man, and I loved every part of his beautiful heart and soul! ❤ Alright Coalman brothers! Bring on Black! Great job! 👍👍👍

Chile!!!!

This was the ‘’bittersweet” experience for me. This book & its layers did a lot for me mentally this story had crying for Denim. I very well understood detachment from a child after giving birth but I didn’t do therapy I felt it wasn’t for me. Diesel done his thing by stay at Denim side & go thru the motions with her. Oh lord but if Mercy’s daughter is for Black I wonder how that would turn out. I’m glad Denim met Red, I appreciated their friendship because she got Denim thru it and she was genuine with her feelings for her. Overall you’ve done a job well done Ms.Keys ❤️ you left some crumbs on the floor & I pray there’s a Breadcrumbs 3 coming soon. Thank you for this storytelling it deserves its five ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Top-tier loving....

Whew! I knew Diesel was that guy but this book proved just how much. His loyalty and love for Denim and his Dream are unmatched. For a man to throw a baby shower for his firstborn is downright admirable. And for him to take on the mommy and daddy duties that just spoke volumes. In other words, Diesel is most definitely a high-ranked book bae. He is in the top tier. I love how charismatic he was towards Denim. He was her moral support when she didn't even realize she needed it. I mean the man washed and dressed Denim for their baby shower. I was glad when Denim finally took heed of Diesel's advice and sought help. She started to gain herself and met a new friend. Diesel and Denim complete and complement each other.

This book is magnificent, you will want to indulge. Diesel is the total opposite of Aziz. If you thought you liked Diesel before you are about to fall deep in love with him now. I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series. I got a vibe that the good old doc is about to stir the pot in Black's life. I want to see how everything pans out.

LOVED IT

This book picks up where part 1 left off. Hansel's death was a huge blow to Denim and those around her. It was hard not to feel Denim's pain of losing her 1st born while also trying to enjoy a pregnancy with a second child. I loved how Diesel stepped up in her time of need while making sure baby Dream was not neglected. The way he encouraged Denim to seek help for her Post Partum Depression made me like him even more. It took some time, but I was happy that Denim finally sought the help she needed and even found a friend in Red who she could relate to. This was an emotional read, but with the right support system, Denim was able to pull through. Can't wait for what's to come with Tristan and Red, also Black and Jill. Will a certain therapist be making an appearance to shake things up for Black. Overall, great read.

I ❤️ Diesel

Denim is still dealing with the death of her child Hansel. While pregnant and grieving the loss Denim becomes detached. Not even caring for herself or her unborn. Diesel was very attentive to Denim and recognized she needed professional help. After childbirth Denim struggles with ppd and is still grieving. Diesel does everything to prove his love for Denim and I loved that he stayed with Denim and helped her work through her issues and provided all the support she needed. 4.5/5⭐️ read

The way he loves Denim is everything not a lot of men would’ve stepped up and did what he did her. He never gave up on her and never will. That donor scene 🎬 had me in tries. Loved it can’t wait for Black story… Them Coleman & Outlaw brothers are the truth….

Let the healing and love continue

The brothers still connected and not just by blood. Aziz has changed for the better but Denim is lost in postpartum and grief and not trying to get out anytime soon. We will see a different side of both him and denim. We are jntroduced to a new character which is meant for two of the people in this story and we will remember the things the dad told them and watch them unfold

Diesel is the man ALL women should want as a significant other. He was so patient and loving towards Denim even with everything she had to deal with. My heart went out to Denim because she was faced with losing someone special only to find out she was getting another blessing. I shed some tears while reading this.

Denim and Diesel a force to be reckoned with

Their love surpassed the test of time. A grieving Denim lost her son but found the will to be a mother again to dream with the help of a good man. Diesel stepped up and was patient and kind as god tested him. Can you say Book Bae?!

Breadcrumbs 2

This was a cute story and I enjoyed reading it. The beginning was heavy because you could feel the despair that Denim was going through but the power of a loving man who was determined to see her through and not allow her to wallow in her grief was amazing to see. I look forward to what comes next with these Coalman brothers.

This is my second book by this author, and I trust her. I enjoyed this book, especially how the characters work on themselves before embracing love. Denim went through something unimaginable, and even I was holding my breath and felt like I didn't want her around the baby. I'm so happy she spoke with someone, and I also love how the author touched on the power of having one friend who has a positive outlook on life. Red being a light for Denim made me cry. Diesel deserves all of his flowers. He showed up for Denim, never judged her, and loved her through it all.

Good read

I enjoyed this story. It kind of had me a little upset but also helped me to see that grief is hard and it just don’t turn off because you want it to. They are a good couple and I loved how he took care of her when she couldn’t do it for herself.

What a good man would do

First my heart want out to Denim and I'm happy she got herself together.
Diesel is a good man. All that he did and went through with Denim was patients and love. Even though the way they started was crazy and everything in between was sad he never left her side.
I enjoyed this story and your writing. Ms.Keys you are a very good storyteller.

Denim & Deisel (Coalman Brothers)

Deisel had the patience of & Job! Denim did not make this easy.

At the end of the day, you can't rush grief, and everyone grieves differently. So you couldn’t really be mad at Denim. My heart broke for Deisel.

True love never fails

I give bread crumbs 2, 5 out of 5 stars. I loved the way everything came together. I wasn’t sure how things were going to go with the struggles Denim was going through. I felt bad for her but wanted her to snap out of it before she lost him. It’s important to read the books in order to understand the story and know everyone in this family.

Giving what its supposed to give

So far i think part 2 is my favorite book. Diesel is bae all day long. The amount of strength and patience that he shows Denim is out of this world! Im glad she got help when she did because my bae was almost at the end of his rope but he tied a knot in it and held on. Now in this book, im not too fond of Diamond and how she was questioning Aziz and bae about something that happened before her. Im glad Aziz turned himself around but i still dont like him! First impressions are everything and he messed that up in the first book

Change can be hard

I'm so happy Diesel was there during Denim's darkest times. Depression, grief, loss and post partum really had her in dark place. However, his never wavering love and support was beautiful. Red was a breath of fresh air. I was so touched by the way Diesel tended to his daughter Dream while allowing supporting Denim as much she would allow him. I'm also happy to see the beginning of the brotherly efforts to repair past damage between Aziz and Diesel. Tristan and Red seem like an instant connection.

Now I really want to see if the therapist makes an appearance regarding Black.

What A Good Man Won’t Do For His Woman!!

Diesel came through like a champ for Denim. She was lost when Hansel got killed. Hansel came to her in her dreams. He told her to care of Dream like she did him. She didn’t want nothing to do with Dream. She aggravating at times. Diesel made her go see a therapist. After many sessions the doctor suggested that she go to grief counseling, then she met Red. Diesel is the man when the doctor suggested that she meet the recipients of her son’s organs. Him and his brothers got on it. I love him for that. Dream got her mommy back.

Breadcrumbs

I ain't even gonna lie, Denim was getting on my nerves with not touching her baby girl. I understand her grieving Hansel, but she was straight neglecting the baby. I was so glad when Red snapped her out of that funk. Diesel was the best for sticking beside her, still loving her & doing everything he could to help her along. Oohhh & Diamond! She couldn't brought that subject up in private between her & Aziz. That was just messy. I can't wait to see what happens between Black & the Dr that Denim was seeing.
