Despite what the author wants us to believe, actions speaks more than words and they all don't add up to true love. The H suddenly starts fantasizing about h who has been his best friend and then has a one night stand with the 27 year old virginal h. Then without protesting about pursuing a relationship with her takes off and doesn't even contact her for the next several months and then they meet at his engagement party to another woman. Then he gets a note stating she is pregnant and confronts her and she denies and he is happy to leave. He doesnt break off any engagement, just follows her and continues to have sex with her and makes a declaration of love all without ever promising her anything! Then suddenly the book ends abruptly with a HEA all without addressing the elephant in the room about his out of sight, out of mind and out of contact response after the one night stand.

I wanted to be able to give this book a 4 or 5, but I can't. I was ok with Dylan and Whitney hooking up. A thin line between best friends and lovers. Got it. But, then he ghosted her.

When she saw him again, it was a MAJOR shock in more ways then one. His behavior as a man, but especially as her best friend was completely unacceptable. Dylan was not worthy of her altruism or her understanding of his situation. I just don't have words for Whitney's behavior. Trying to keep that secret from Dylan was a bad move on her part as well. On top of that, she continued to do the tailoring bit. I know is was professional behavior, but Karl couldn't have done it? Anyone else? They were rich. They could have found someone else.

I also don't understand why if Dylan was so wealthy, he had NO ONE, he could go to for advice about his situation? Cori did a disappearing act. It was obvious what was going on with her at the dress fitting. That was before we were privy to all of the details.

This drama drug on through almost the entire book. Even when it was coming to a conclusion, Whitney still didn't get what was going on.

I was interested in the story until Whitney looked up at the engagement party. I was done. Not sure why she wasn't. The book just seem a limit ridiculous after that. To spend all that time agonizing and not doing anything to address the issue.

I have read a number of Mindy Neff's books that I enjoyed. This wasn't one of them. It had the potential, but it fell short for me.

Best friends Dylan and Whitney have a one night stand and a few months later he’s back in town engaged to someone else. She was a virgin; he doesn’t use a condom even though he’s the one with experience, and she acts like it’s no big deal and makes him feel like she was just using him and keeps pushing him away throughout the book. Dylan and Whitney have an affair before his wedding. I don’t know how that makes it right to Whitney that at least he wasn’t married yet. Dylan loves Whitney but is financially tied to business deal with his fiancé Cori’s family. They both made me shake my head over their actions. I loved Whitney’s tuxedo designer Uncle Karl who doesn’t miss a trick and is not above doing what it takes to make his niece happy.

This is a friends to lovers romance that had humor, but kind of ticked me off.

Dylan decides to pop in on his BFF on his way home from a meeting. He can't get his mind off of her, but she's his friend. Like many 1 night stands, drinks were flowing and things were done. Then in typical Dylan fashion, he ghosts Whitney. Months later he comes back into town with a big surprise....and Whitney has one for him as well.

Good story concept. okay characters, good dialogue, and engaging dialogue. Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA ending.

Would I recommend this book? Yes

Would I read more from this author? Yes

This story has all the feels. I really felt for Whitney who was pregnant with her best friend Dylan’s baby only to find out he’s marrying someone else! Holy heartache!

Dylan is a great guy and Whitney so giving. Together they were either a lot of fun or full of smoldering passion. You really have to read the book to understand why Dylan would be marrying someone else when he so obviously loves Whitney - and why she is pushing him to do it.

Overall this book gave me both chuckles and tears. I’d definitely read more books by this author after reading this one.

Dylan and Whitney are best friends and that is so important to both of them but after they have a one impulsive night together they both decided to put it behind them and carry on being just friends only for Whitney to find out that she is pregnant and she doesn't know what to do as Dylan has a pre arranged marriage but she knows that she has to tell him. Dylan and Whitney have great chemistry but there friendship means so much to the both of them so what is Whitney going to do and how will Dylan react to her news. Wow I love this book so much and Dylan and Whitney are so great together and this book is a must read as it is so well written by Mindy Neff who is a brilliant author and writer.

Whitney and Dylan have been friends forever. Unexpectedly, they got together a few months ago and went a little too far... now she is pregnant. Now she finds out he is getting married to save his company and more. The characters are strong in their ideals and very protective. Tension comes as two couples who love each other are supposed to marry the wrong one. Uncle Karl is behind the scenes trying to set things right. The action is a roller coaster ride that keeps you drawn into the story. the ending is so worth it.

This is a really sweet story. Dylan and Whitney have a long history of friendship. They had the perfect friendship both challenging and complimenting each other. They have one night together and their lives are changed. But Dylan gets engaged to another due to a business deal, despite the fact he loves Whitney. I found myself both laughing at times and sometimes shedding a few tears. This book definitely had some good emotions. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Out of all the Mindy Neff books this one is my least favorite, there are so many things just off, not right. It was still a decent read, but it could have been so much more enjoyable to read.

Another good read by Mindy Neff. Her characters are well developed so much so that you dislike dylan at times, like when he ignores whiotney, or just how he treats her. These two where friends one night and bam, she is having his kid, oh but he is getting married rto someone else and it is for business and money. Read this intriguing story to see how it turns out

This story was intriguing, unpredictable, and a great romance novel. I loved the emotions and feelings. These characters were well written and entertaining.

This was a heartbreaking yet puzzling read for me. While I could feel the emotional consequences of their actions. I couldn’t connect with the discord in their relationship. Best friends? It sure didn’t seem so. Especially given his announcement when he arrived back in town. And her attitude was strange. I had a hard time connecting to either character.

Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.
