2.5 stars. The story was good and I liked the characters. A few name mistakes in the book. Would have been 3 stars if it had a better epilogue. This didn’t feel like a Fiona Davenport epilogue normally it’s years later and you find out about their kids but this one you didn’t.

Another awesome Instalove romance in the New York Nighthawks series 😍 Brady is the second QB and the first string is injured. So Brady sees his chance to get the spot. Talia just started at K-Corps daycare when she gets invited for a night out by a coworker. A touchy guy brings Brady and Talia together. He needs a fake girlfriend and she agrees. I love the NY Nighthawks. Brady and Talia are both on their feet thinkers, and of course, what do they need? someone to fill step in and pretend to be their partner. Just this premise alone.. you already know it's gonna be good! AND it was!! I love how growly and possessive Brady gets 🥵! I don't read a ton of football stories, maybe its a personality trait, but oh my word, someone get me a fan and a bucket 🫠.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Talia is being hit on hard by a crude guy at the bar, she tries to tell him she’s here with her boyfriend but he doesn’t believe her. When she sees a big sexy guy come in she hopes he’ll go along with her pretense for him to be her boyfriend. Brady is the backup quarterback for the Nighthawks and is focused on being the starting quarterback now that Prentice has been put on the injured list. He has no time for women, especially after his last date years ago angrily admitted to trying to baby trap him when he wouldn’t sleep with her.
One look at Talia and he’s a goner! She reminds him of Snow White and he’s ready to slay anyone bothering her. Her touch kickstarts his libido and the kiss finishes him off. He has found his one true love. He goes along with her pretense and with the assistance of the club owner gets rid of the crude guy.
She tells him she’s here with a friend, Dakota (False Start, book 8), who she meets when she starts her 1st day as a daycare worker at K-Corp., she’s Nighthawks player Ames wife. And, most of the Nighthawks players are at the club and Brady introduces her as his girlfriend of six months.
Since the team owner likes his players to be settled down he uses her reasoning for a fake boyfriend to ask her to be his fake girlfriend. He has every intention of making their relationship real.
Talia is falling hard for him, especially since he goes out of his way and gives her a dream 1st date. Their second date is great to, it ends at his house where the have sexy times. She’s a virgin and he has been celibate a long time. They spend lots of time together, lots of sexy times, lots of breeding thoughts by Brady and lots of, ‘she’s mine’.
Lying to her new friend and the other player wife’s is hard for Talia and she confesses to Dakota who tells her it’s no big deal, she sees the way Brady looks at her, they are real, no pretense.
When the other back up quarterback smack talks Brady and says he knows Talia is his fake girlfriend and he’s going to dump her soon she overhears and is hurt but plays it cool with Brady. After all he has never said they were really dating. He clears up her misconception and tells her he loves her. I love yous all around, more sexy times, and epilogue with her pregnant. A quick courthouse wedding and a sometime later with Brady being named starting quarterback and Prentice retiring.

I loved the main characters and the main story and it would be five stars if it weren't for an issue with supporting characters. The couple from the book prior to this one caused some big timeline flaws. At the beginning of the story, the previous FMC met the current FMC when dropping off her kids at childcare- a three year old daughter, a son, and due the next day with her third son. Now this makes sense to be how they met- and necessary for her then meeting the MMC. The only problem I see there is that puts about 4 years between the two stories, and they make it seem like it's so strange how all the guys are dropping like flies when they meet the right woman- much quicker than 4 years between these two (if this was a couple from an early book, that would make much more sense). But then, near the end, the previous FMC makes a comment that she didn't understand anything about the game a year ago, before meeting her husband. She's past her due date with her third child- she would have understood the game, or at least more than nothing, a year before this. Later that day she goes into labor...and this FMC at the end of the chapter thinks this child is her favorite of their kids because he's born on the same day her man tells her he loves her for the first time. The son's name? Same as the son we met earlier in the book. So these are things that are important to the story, but are about a supporting character, and are unfortunately wrong in some way.

A good ending to the series
I have enjoyed all the stories in this series, and I am sad to be at the end!
These guys are straight up Neanderthals when it comes to their women, but that's what makes these reads so fun. (Although, if this were real life, all of these guys need to dial it back - a lot!)
But since it's not real-life, I recommend enjoying the "you're mine, how fast can I breed you, you're my forever" OTT caveman behaviors that every single guy on this team has. Brady and Talia have one interaction and - BOOM - he's claiming her, and she gets swept up in his attention.
Obviously, if you can't get around that situation, don’t read this series! But I found this a fun, quick read, (as I did all of them), with great chemistry and steamy scenes between these couples.

Brady & Talia's book was filled with plenty of sweet, heat and all the baby making steam you know and love from Fiona Davenport. Talia is getting harassed at a bar by a dude that can't take no for an answer. So in her quick thinking she turned to Brady who goes along with her and pretends to be her boyfriend. Little does she know her life is about to change. Brady thinks he has no time for a "complication" until one walks right up to him and changes his entire life in the blink of an eye.
I loved that these two reminded me a little of Justice and Blair Kendall. It was great to see a lot of the OG's not just from the Nighthawks but a mini crossover to other series as well.

I absolutely ate this book up! Fiona Davenport have done it again with this addicting series by writing the most cute and hot af romance. They do sports romance so well, and if your ever in the mood for a fast read with good smut they’re your ladies.
From that first kiss Brady and Talia were setting my kindle on 🔥 fire, and making me speed read because the flow was awesome and I was just so entertained. It may have started off as a fake dating situation, but it was over for both of them on that very first date. Go read this right now if you want all the fluffy romance with a couple who are crazy in love with each other. Right people right time would describe Brady and Talia perfectly.

Brady & Talia! She needs a quick rescue, and of course he's all in & ready to play for keeps! This is a fun, quick read with the signature steamy baby-makin'. I love these two - they're both sweethearts who want a big family, and are adorable together.
I also love seeing some of the OG couples. And there are some great LOL moments when a certain billionaire hooks Brady up with a link...

This was a fantastic book. I really enjoyed the connection and chemistry between Brady and Talia. What was supposed to fake and temporary turned into so much more for Talia and Brady. These two a drawn together they can't help but fall and fast for each other. There is a little bit of drama but these two are able to talk things out and get a must dissevered and sweet HEA. I can't wait to see what this awesome duo has in store for us next.

This has been a fun OTT series full of Neanderthal type hero's and i have had fun with them all, this one included!
Talia is at a bar with a co worker being harassed by a guy who wont take no for an answer when she sees Brady heading towards her. On the spot she decides using him as her fake boyfriend is the best way to get rid of this other guy.. only now Brady wants her for real and this man is not gonna stop till she gives him a shot

I loved Brady and Talia's story. Brady rescues Talia at a bar and in return he asks her to be his fake girlfriend but she isn't really a fake girlfriend to him. Just like all the other guys of the Nighthawks, he has found the ONE. I just love all of Fiona Davenport's books. They are the BOMB!!!!

This was another touchdown in the New York Nighthawks series. Brady and Talia had such amazing chemistry. Their story was cute and over the top and all the things I love. Great fast paced read.
