Lot of good information that can be applied to many aspects of life. Review:
👉In our fast-paced world, Dr. Rob Bell's book is a beacon of wisdom. "I Can't Wait To Be Patient" is a captivating exploration of the modern struggle with urgency and the profound impact that patience can have on our lives.
🕰️ Time is our most precious resource, yet we often misuse it. Dr. Bell eloquently outlines the four laws of patience and identifies the four killers of urgency, revealing why rhythm triumphs over speed.
💡 One of the book's key takeaways is the peril of mistaking the urgent for the important. Dr. Bell illustrates this with real-world examples, such as the surprising decrease in mortality rates when top surgeons take time away.
🧘♂️ "I Can't Wait To Be Patient" goes beyond theory and delves into developing a patient "personality." It makes a compelling case that patience is not just a virtue; it's a cornerstone of mental health and personal growth.
📖 This book is a practical guide for anyone seeking to find balance, resilience, and a more patient mindset in today's frenetic world. It's a must-read for those ready to embrace the power of patience and unlock its transformative potential.
how Dr Bell's book is a short read related to time and mismanagement of it increases stress and anxiety which then robs time from us. He talks about we all have 84,600 seconds in a day and if taken a full accounting we as individual waste most of it. An interesting chart he uses is that based on a lifespan of an average of 80 years we have 29,220 days. The big question is how effectively will you use them. It's about time management in order to get the best return on the investment. He identifies robbers of time like saying yes to others when we really would prefer to say no. We understand that yes might help others but it robs us from completion of something we had planned. He talks briefly about the Myers-Brigs analysis and how J's are super focused to the point that any disruption throws them totally off schedule and they don't adapt to change easily. Where P's go with the flow. Bell also brings in different life figures to solidify his points. Good quick read that presents the reader a lot to think about. Might be a good read for a college student.

First, the chapters are short. That makes for easier digestion of the information within. Each ends with a relevant note and begins with a relevant quote. Being the history buff I am, I adored the story about George Washington. My first hero, I knew the story of his only surrender and the story of the horses being shot out from under him during a later battle. Still loved reading it again! And the story of the twin towers heroes had me crying. Love the book and the inspirational way that patience is taught throughout!
This is one of the best books to understand the importance of patience in one's life to achieve your goals. The author has shared some remarkable examples from history and the sports world as well to explain his concepts in an easy way.
