If you love your rock stars, bad boys and heart wrenching romances you'll fall in love with Everhide. The band risk it all when hearts become involved.
Abandoned by my father when I was twelve, he left me with my gold-digging mother. Left me to fend for myself. My two best friends, Hunter and Kyle, became my world. Music saved us. Bound us together. After years of hard work, we are now world-famous rock band, Everhide. Music is our life. Kyle is my rock. My four-four common time. The one I can always rely on. But Hunter? Hunter is something else. He’s a playboy. Hot as hell. The one who makes me laugh. During tour, something changed. He entered my dreams—my hot dreams. They wouldn’t stop. Now, I want him to be more than a friend. But I’m scared. I'm scared that if I hurt Kyle, I’d never be able to live with myself. I’m scared that I could destroy our band. Our careers. Our friendship.
I'm Gemma. And I always go after what I want.
But is love worth risking everything we’ve worked so hard for?
What if I ruin the lives of my two best friends?

Ripped is a fantastic start to this new series by Tania Joyce. It was a quick and easy read, which I devoured in one sitting. I loved the story-line and the characters. They had a very real quality to them and were easy to connect with. I loved the angst, the romance, the drama and all the secrets and lies. It made me laugh. It frustrated me at times. It made me swoon and fall in love. This book hit all the marks for me for a good rock star romance.
Best friends Gemma, Hunter and Kyle make up the famous rock band, Everhide. With the papparazzi always hot on their trail, they tend to steer clear of relationships. Things start to change though when Gemma begins having erotic dreams about one of her band mates. This of course sparks her curiosity, making her wonder if this is what it would be like in real life. If she decides to pursue this, how will their futures be affected? True love, friendship and careers could possibly be at stake. How far is Gemma willing to go?
I loved everything about this book from start to finish and can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
This is a bit different as this book is about a band that is already famous. Three friends since high school - lover music and are all very close. Gem then starts having feelings for one of her bandmates - at which point as a reader you are shouting no at your kindle! It car crash written all over it and you knew she was making the wrong choice. Luckily she does come to her senses and chooses the right one and she gets her HEA. There are some conflicts with the band manager (she's not very nice....) and the record label but it all comes good in the end. I will be reading the next one in the series - hopefully Hunter will be brought to his knees!
There will be spoilers but overall story was good, but some of the trials and tribulations were too much in my opinion.
The little love triangle was kind of silly. Hunter asked Gemma out after he injured her accidentally. His feelings did not seem genuine with the way that he was acting towards every other female out there. And Gemma's "wet dreams" about him or a bit out there too. All of a sudden she's going to randomly think about him like that when they've been friends for years? But then she doesn't want to act on anything because she doesn't want to jeopardize anything with the band? Okay. Then Hunter asks her out and she freaks out because that's what she wants, but she still has concerns for the band, and then she goes for it. But they can't get past the facts that they're family/friends like siblings. In the meantime, Hunter also calls Kyle out for being in love with Gemma. So if he knew that, why would he ask her out? He wasn't into her that much. But, okay. It was a way for Gemma to realize her little fantasies in her mind were just that. And that she couldn't act on them because he's like a sibling.
So then there's Kyle. Falling for her and wanting to be with her but keeping it to himself and not getting a chance to tell her before Hunter asked her out. And then not handling Gemma and Hunter together at all. Understandable, seeing as he's in love with her and all.
So they are a couple and then they have their manager, Amie, Who is the worst and who hits on Hunter and makes up with him on an outing to check out another band. Gemma finds out that they had a heavy makeup session and he cheated on her by doing so and thinks it's okay. Um, no. Not even a little. If he's going to cheat on you a few weeks into dating, he ain't worth it. And they're dating wasn't even really anything. They kept it on the down low and didn't want anybody to know. So they hung out a few times and it was awkward and weird and cringe-worthy to read. Ultimately she decides that she doesn't want to be a failure, so she'd rather stay with a cheater? So they stuck it out because he promised he would do better. Um, again. No. He oogles Amie and her boobs every chance he gets. And thinks it's okay because he's not touching? Hell no.
So anyway, She keeps them as a boyfriend and Hunter decides to plan Gemma's birthday. He buys her a new guitar, which Kyle knows she won't like because she uses her dad's old guitar. And Kyle gets her necklace, which Hunter says she won't like because she doesn't wear jewelry. Well, we got to see her open the necklace and react, she loved it. No surprise there. But we never got to see how she reacted to the guitar which I thought was lame.
So on her birthday, she decides to finally end things with Hunter and it's completely amicable and they're friendly towards each other. She tells Kyle and Kyle has been wanting her for forever, so naturally they just jump into bed together. Because she realized all along it's been Kyle who has been there for her and supporting her and who she loves. Okay... So then because the tension is over between Gemma and Hunter, they become more friendly and spend more time together and Kyle is jealous like a crazy person. To the point where the guys actually got into a fight because Kyle was acting irrational. There was just a little too much back and forth with them. And the jealousy and resentment within the band was too much and why they didn't fire Amie a long time ago is beyond me.
So yeah, the book was okay but not really all that special. I'm on the fence about reading more of the series. Normally I love to read all the books in a series and gobble them all up, but this one just is meh. All of the typos didn't help either. There were plenty. Lol
I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait to read the second book. Being in a band with your two best friends. Trying a relationship with one of your friends not knowing that the other one is in love with you. I got the vibe that Hunter only dated her because she was his safety net. Finally Kyle was able to tell her his true feelings. But will it ruin the band?
Lets start with the cover of this book, he is so lickable, that I did not even read the blurb of what this book was about before agreeing to read it.
That being said, I had no idea when I started reading that not only was the book about a band, I am a sucker for rock star books, but that there would also be a huge love triangle story.
Gemma, Hunter and Kyle make up Everhide and have been friends forever, but Gemma is ready to cross that line with Hunter (she has been having xrated dreams about him), but once they cross that line will there be sparks, while kicking himself in the background is Kyle who waited to long to tell Gemma how he really felt.
The pull and turmoil that Gemma is sucked through was felt deep into my bones, this authors writing is just outstanding and cannot wait for the next book in the series.
Ripped is a fun and entertaining read all about the rock star life. Rock stars who are best friends, love triangle scenarios occurring in a lifestyle of fame and paparazzi as well as dramatic angst. This was my first read by this author, and it’s also the first book in a series by this author.
The main themes in this book are love and loyalty. Gemma, Kyle, and Hunter have been friends for years; from meeting in school and growing up together and turning their incredible musical talent into a international world class rock band. Their incredible bond keeps their band together despite all the struggles of fame and fortune. I enjoyed following the escapades of the band and I found it very touching to read about the commitment and loyalty the main characters had for one another.
I enjoyed the slow burn start of this book and the unknowing of how certain relationships will work. While one relationship was forced and stilted, and not at all convincing. Their lack of passion and chemistry led to it’s natural conclusion. But the next relationship was organic and pure, and was built on many layers of knowledge about each other and full of love and trust. It worked so much better for the characters and gave hope for love and a steamy romance.
However, things get very complicated when Gemma and Kyle act upon their feelings without thinking first. Friendships and loyalties get tested and on occasion it gets pretty tense. Even when their careers get threatened, they must face what it is that they truly want. All three characters are all in their early twenties and clearly have a lot to learn about life, love and relationships. But after the heartbreak, drama and frustration, everything works out in a very satisfying climax. I especially adored the ending and was a gorgeous surprise!
I enjoyed this book and the plot. It was a fast paced read with a great amount struggles and joys. It really was a beautifully written story that is ultimately about love, determination, friendship and more importantly loyalty.
Even knowing that this is a stand-alone I really cannot wait to read more in this series and hope to see more from these characters and also more from this author.
Ripped The Price Of Loyalty Tania Joyce ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Freaking. Amazing. If you didn’t get it Everhide, freaking rock, and I don’t mean just musically. But this story was so. Freaking. Amazing. Tania has blown this series starter out of the water. I’m not normally a fan of rock romance stories, I find them corny, out of this world and unrealistic, but Ripped was so real, life like... like I expect to find their music in the current aria charts.
Gemma, Kyle and Hunter are Everhide, rock group extraordinaire taking the world by storm. They create, love and live music. But they all hide their own secrets. The whole world loves Everhide, Gemma has dirty dreams about Hunter, Hunter loves any woman with a V, and Kyle, he loves Gemma. It’s a disaster waiting to happen, but one that is about to be played out, in an emotional roller coaster that may destroy everything they’ve worked to create.
Gemma is the sometimes level headed singer of the group, she buffers between the 2 boys who in their own right are incredibly sexy and smart. Each brings their own thing to the group, and each will take a little of your heart, as they did mine. Taking the jump to date another band member was always going to be an issue, but for Kyle, seeing his Gemma with Hunter, basically destroys him but he pulls together to keep “face” on the situation. Now this where s&*t gets real… or confusing…. Hunter and Gemma break up and she finds herself in Kyle’s arms, and finds those arms are everything she’s ever wanted. But in the media spotlight, coming out is not an option.
So on top of huge stardom, an evil mother, and the worst ever manager, Gemma finds everything piling up with no end in sight…. Destroying everything they’ve worked for is not an option, but as everything around the group starts to crumble, who will step up to protect Everhide? Kyle, Hunter and Gemma will be out through the ringer, in many ways but their closeness as not just a rock group, best friends and family. Their strength and determination will either win or fail…. YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!
I was particularly taken by the lyrics written in this story, they play a huge role into the individual lives of 3 out of this world characters. Each beautifully written, with so much love and emotion. I loved Gemma, Kyle and Hunter, Ms Joyce had out done herself with this story. I can’t wait for Ruined in 2019… it seems so far away

Ripped is a great start to a new Everhide Rockstar series. My first book by Tania Joyce and I cannot wait to read more. I could not put this book down! Three friends who are band mates and a love has to figure out who is truly in love with who. Gemma loves Hunter. Kyle loves Gemma and Hunter Loves himself is how it is said in the description of the book but what these all come to find is who is truly meant to be with who. This rockstar love story has such real life problems and solutions that keep you wanting more. The ups and downs twist and turns of life and love are throughout the entire book. This was a wonderful read!
The 1st installment in the Everhide journey and what a beginning it was. Kyle, Gemma and Hunter and the minefields they have to go through as a group in a crazy world of the music industry. Gemma starts dating Hunter and geez what a mistake thankfully they realise it would never work because Gemma and Kyle are meant to be!!! But if there are problems and hurdles for a couple these 2 have to deal with more than their fair share!!
I'm really looking forward to falling more into this world definitely ready to find out what's going on with Hunter.
1st book from Tania Joyce and I can't wait to read more.
I love these books and their characters. Hunter is a cocky rock star who takes what he wants, but is he really happy? Kyle is a good guy who is waiting for his good girl. Gemma is hard-working and loyal to those she cares about, but is afraid of getting hurt again. Together, they make up a famous band. They are united in all things, but will life keep them together, or tear them apart? Please read this book. You won't regret it!
I always wanted to be a rockstar! Loved this book and Gemma, Kyle and Hunter. The life, the music, the highs, the lows ... the never ending flow of alcohol ... Tania Joyce has woven together the perfect blend of rock and romance. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Such a great story of 2 best friends and band mates finding love after years and years of being just friends. The author did an amazing job of drawing me in to fall for these characters.
It’s strange how you think a story is going to go and bam! It ends up better and different to what you thought. Well that’s what this story did for me! I loved it
Urgh this was so good! But...... I wasn’t happy at first when Gemma was with Hunter, it was all sorts of wrong, the author got it spot on! It all became right thank goodness, with a few bumps in the road, really enjoyed reading this book, looks as though there maybe more to come. I’d love to read Hunters story!
Great story. Love the romance it wasn't long stressed back and forth stuff. Characters were great but what happened to Hayden? Thought he was part of the band.
This is a new to me author, and I have to say, I am hooked on this series, and want to find out more. Great characters, and a great storyline. I am moving onto the next one with great anticipation
This is the first book in the Everhide Rockstar Romance Series and starts the series off on a high note. This is the story of three best friends Gemma, Kyle and Hunter who all play in a world famous rock band together. An emotional roller coaster as the three friends have mixed feelings for each other. Gemma has a crush on Kyle, but Hunter loves Gemma. Can you see where things might get a little tense at times. Drama and twisted signals make for some up and down times. Three people who treasure their friendship almost more than love itself. Strong characters and an entertaining read. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
I loved this book and the songs are amazing! Gemma, Hunter, and Kyle are best friends that are in the band “Everhide”. Hunter asked Gemma out after a accident where Hunter caused. They weren’t the perfect match and so glad they broke up. Kyle who always loved Gemma was heartbroken when Hunter and Gemma started to date. There manger Amie who I honestly never liked hooked up with Hunter when he was with Gemma. I jumped up with joy when Kyle and Gemma started to date. Gemma mom Janice is a evil heartless human being. I was so ecstatic when she told her mom off. Amie and the record label got bought out by Gavin they wanted to make the band something else. I’m glad they got away from Amie and went with another label where they got creative control.
Loved this story! Great characters that I want to follow. Gemma and Kyle and Hunter are together as a band living each other as friends until Gemma starts to fall in love. Great storyline. Hot scenes can’t wait to read the next book! Highly recommend this story!
Wow, just wow! I have fallen in love with Gemma, Kyle, and Hunter. They truly are forever friends. Even with all the ups and downs, ins and outs, and everything in between, they remain loyal to each other. It took a while, but Gemma and Kyle Finally realized their love. Wanted to strangle Gemma’s mother! Can’t wait to see what happens next for Hunter.
This series, I expect, will show us all the emotional growing pains of three best friends as they struggle to reach for their dreams. Music is all they know, and all they want is to write, sing, and record the songs that flow from their hearts!
Ripped is the story of a sexy rockstar love triangle between the band Everhide - Gemma, Hunter and Kyle. There are plenty of ups and downs to keep the reader interested and I enjoyed how the characters and story progressed throughout.
My only issue was how predictable I found everything. I honestly think I figured out every 'twist' before it happened which was a shame. Maybe it's because I read too much romance it's hard to suprise me any more!!
I would have liked a few more sexy scenes as the main characters are clearly absolutely smoking :) In parts, the book got cheesier than my four-cheese fondue, but overall it was an enjoyable, well-written, easy read :)
Loved Gemma, Kyle and Hunter. World famous rock band Everhide. Best friends from school, living their musical dream, touring the big name venues, and best of all, staying true to each other.
Their interconnected relationship, highs and lows, will grab you with their chemistry and love for each other.
Thankful there was a HEA. Looking forward to reading the next in this series, Ruined, and catching up with Hunter again. 🥰
Not only is this the start of a brand new series but the author is a new find for me.
Kyle, Gemma and Hunter are best friends who make up the rock band Everhide. When Gemma starts having erotic dreams about Hunter everything changes. The situation is complicated, Kyle loves Gemma who wants Hunter who is not a one woman kind of man.
The relationship between the three friends is a major focus of the book. We get a ringside seat to all the ups and downs that come from being in a band. This was my favourite parts of the book, I'm a people watcher I love finding out what makes them tick and we get that with these guys.
I didn't feel the relationship between Hunter and Gemma was the right choice but how will it affect the band and what happens if it all goes wrong.
A promising start to a new series that I will follow with interest.
