The Holy Spirit and His Gifts

Rate this book
These classic Bible Study Courses by Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin have been reedited to include chapter review questions to further enhance your study of God's Word. These teachings on the vital subjects of faith, prayer, the Holy Spirit and His gifts, and healing will show you how to live a life of victory and abundance! The Holy Spirit, a Divine Personality, comes to make His home in us when we are born again. Because of the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit, there is no need for any believer ever to feel comfortless, bereaved, or forlorn. There is also another work of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life -- the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the believer to endue him with power from on High. In addition to discussing this twofold work of God in a believer's life, this Bible Study Course also explains the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. These nine gifts are divided into three categories -- the revelation gifts, the power gifts, and the utterance gifts. As you study and learn about the ministry of the Holy Spirit, you will become a more effective witness for the Lord Jesus Christ on this earth. Chapter titles
-- The Holy Spirit His Indwelling Presence
-- The Holy Spirit His Infilling Power

1 Corinthians 12:7-11: But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Bless the name of Jesus!

Just what I have come to expect from Kenneth Hagin. Clear and concise, biblically founded, illustrated with many real-life examples and experiences. Warmly recommended, like the others in the "Bible Study Course" series, they have really blessed me.

This is a very insightful book concerning pneumatology (the study of the Holy Spirit). Hagin does an excellent job of highlighting the fullness of what Holy Spirit has to offer. He does so by discussing in detail the difference between the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the infilling of the Holy Spirit, giving thorough biblical evidence of every believer's ability to speak in tongues in their private prayer life and the benefits of doing so, and by devoting an entire chapter to each of the nine spiritual gifts outlined in 1 Corinthians 12:1-14.

This book opened my eyes to the ways in which I have subconsciously focused on God the father and Jesus more than Holy Spirit, who is just as much a part of the Holy Trinity. It's an excellent read for anybody looking to learn more about Holy Spirit, build their faith, and grow in their walk with God.

Wow this book was so amazing!! A good friend gifted me this and I decided to start this study at the beginning of the year with prayer and fasting. It truly amazed me the empowerment this book gave me with understanding on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His gifts. This revelation made me understood each gift on a deeper level as well as desire all of the gifts, and even impart the baptism of the Holy Spirit to a new believer and get all her questions answered and that wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for this book. It came at the right moment.

If every believer would read this with an open heart it will convince them of the truth of the Holy Spirit. After so many scriptures and revelations it will be impossible not to. Get this book, you won’t regret it!

Actually did not finish the book because I didn't like it. I thought the author sound kinda mean. The author was definitely repetitive. This is just my opinion though take into consideration because I know my sister read the book and enjoyed it.

I wouldn't recommend reading this author. But when I read this book it was the first time that I learned about the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to Paul's letters in the New Testament.
