Read this sometime in 2008-2011 after finding it in my church library. The lessons at the end felt too heavyhanded to be convincing (even though I was about 12 at the time) and it was always obvious when the plots were built around a moral, but the slapstick and pacing was funny enough to stick in my head all these years later.
