Improvised Munitions

Rate this book
In Unconventional Warfare operations it may be impossible or unwise to use conventional military munitions as tools in the conduct of certain missions. It may be necessary instead to fabricate the required munitions from locally available or unassuming materials. The purpose of this manual is to increase the potential of Special Forces and guerrilla troops by describing in detail the manufacture of munitions from seemingly innocuous locally available materials. Table of Explosives and propellants (including igniters); Mines and Grenades; Small Arms Weapons and Ammunition; Mortars and Rockets; Incendiary Devices; Fuses, Detonators & Delay Mechanisms; Miscellaneous. The manual has many pictures and is written to make understanding easy.

It's a short and easy read, and whilst some things ought to be updated, as a whole it's been greatly fun to read. I keep it saved, and it's been terribly useful.

I was surprised that the Army published this one... but in a free society you have to let things go public to help people defend themselves against rogue elements.

One wonders what three letter agencies scan these lists.

All the stuff in the book seemed plausible at the time. It's been years though, so maybe it really doesn't work.

Classic holds up well!

A classic volume that holds up well. The hi-tech approach is well suited to third world type applications. You need this
