This Plum Boxed Set contains three hilarious Stephanie Plum novels from Janet Seven Up , Hard Eight and To the Nines .
Seven Up
All New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has to do is bring in semi-retired bail jumper Eddie DeChooch. For an old man he's still got a knack for slipping out of sight--and raising hell. How else can Stephanie explain the bullet-riddled corpse in Eddie's garden? Who else would have a clue as to why two of Stephanie's friends suddenly vanished? For answers Stephanie has the devil to her mentor, Ranger. The deal? He'll give Stephanie all the help she needs--if she gives him everything he wants . . .
Hard Eight
Fugitive Apprehension Agent Stephanie Plum has a big problem on her Seven-year-old Annie Soder and her mother, Evelyn, have disappeared. Evelyn's estranged husband, Steven, a shady owner of a seedy bar, is not at all happy. Finding a kidnapped child is not an assignment for a bounty hunter. But Evelyn's grandmother lives next door to Stephanie's parents, so Stephanie follows the trail left by Annie and Evelyn-and finds a lot more than she bargained for.
To the Nines
Stephanie's cousin Vinnie (who's also her boss) has posted bail on Samuel Singh, an immigrant who becomes an illegal alien by violating his Visa and extending his stay in the United States. When the elusive Mr. Singh goes missing, Stephanie is on the case. But what she uncovers is far more sinister than anyone imagines and leads to a group of killers who give new meaning to the word "hunter." In a race against time that takes her from the Jersey Turnpike to the Vegas strip, Stephanie Plum is on the chase of her life.
Janet Evanovich is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Stephanie Plum series, the Lizzy and Diesel series, twelve romance novels, the Alexandra Barnaby novels and Trouble Maker graphic novel, and How I Write: Secrets of a Bestselling Author, as well as the Fox and O'Hare series with co-author Lee Goldberg.
No pay off for Ranger for the favor....yet....Stephanie is approached by her parents' neighbor whose granddaughter, Evelyn and her daughter, Annie, have gone missing. The dad, Steven, is a horrible man and after the divorce, a bond agreement was put in place so neither parent could kidnap the daughter. Evelyn's grandmother, Mabel, put up her house for collateral. While she isn't so worried about losing the house, she is in fear of losing Evelyn. In the search, Stephanie meets Albert Kloughn, Evelyn's attorney, who happens to be a bit like a leach and attaches to Stephanie and her investigation. He even rides along to attempt to catch an FTA, Bender, who continues to elude Stephanie, taking numerous pairs of handcuffs with him. On one occasion, he even takes her car with the handcuffs attached to a chain attached to the car! In her search for Evelyn, Stephanie runs into Eddie Abruzzi, the former owner of Benito Ramirex. He doesn't like Stephanie to begin with and now he has more reason as she hinders him finding Evelyn and his precious medal that belonged to Napoloean and he wears as he plays his crazy war games. Also introduced is Jeanne, Ranger's female version with whom he also had relations. Snakes, spiders and geese all give Stephanie trouble, mostly provided by Abruzzi. Morelli and Stephanie are on a break although they miss each other immensely and Morelli continues to worry about her. Ranger collects his payment...and Stephanie liked it although he then tells her flatout that there is no attachment allowed on either part. Stephanie is approached by Abruzzi to strong arm her to stop and she tells him she likes rabbits more than the snakes and spiders. A man in a bear costumer begins harassing her, even exposing himself to her and Grandma. When he (and others) attempt to abduct Stephanie, her mother runs him over with her car. Valerie begins to work for Kloughn (and begin dating) and is kidnapped by the men along with Stephanie as she drives to pick up pizza in Morellis truck as he and Ranger are at her apartment filling out a report on Ranger's firebombed truck. Stephanie also had her CR-V bombed and one of Ranger's cars...again. The men throw Valerie out but she manages to walk to the cabin where they're holding Stephanie. Although still duct-taped, she manages to drive the van into the cabin, freeing Stephanie from being brandironed. They immediately drive to Morelli's where he and Ranger are waiting. Ranger sets out and Abruzzi shows up dead, an apparent suicide. Morelli and Stephanie spend the night together (no sex) and things appear to possibly be on the mend as Ranger had suggested ot Stephanie otherwise he would have ot take over?????
I immediately fell for Stephanie Plum ... how can you not! She is a train wreck with plenty of mascara, and a fantastic family! Can't wait for more adventures!
BTW ... I am TOTALLY Team Ranger! Also Lula is AMAZING ... we all need a Lula in our lives! I have decided I want to be adopted by the Plums so I can have a Grama Mazur!
I have read the first 22 as well as the In-Between the Plums stories and I am so ready for the next several!

I started to read these on a beach trip with my mom since she had read the first 7 and had them with her. I read through all my books so I started on these. They are very easy to read so I went through them very quickly the first 5 or six were not that bad, but after six the writing and story plot is stale and boring to say the least. I have not read a series of books since Sweet Valley High and The Babysitters Club. At least those were still interesting after six. Unfortunately I kept reading them hoping they would get better. After sixteen I stopped, there is no hope for this series or this author. It was nice though to have a book to discuss with my mom, which is why I continued to read them. Even that cannot make me read anymore, they are just too painful to read.
THE EARLY STEPHANIE PLUM NOVELS ARE FUN. SHE DOESN'T HIT HER STRIDE UNTIL A COUPLE IN, AND I GAVE UP BY THE MID-TEENS, BUT FOR A WHILE THERE THEY WERE GRATE. OF COURSE, THEY'RE HUMOROUS MYSTERY WITH A STRONG SIDE OF FOREVER UNRESOLVED ROMANCE, SO IT MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR.
OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD I REMEMBER LIKING THE TANA FRENCH BOOKS; SOME EARLY STEPHANIE PLUM WHEN THEY'RE LOLZY AND BEFOAR THEY GET SAMEY AND STUPID;
I absolutely adore these books. They're fast paced, with interesting plot lines, and are hilarious. Add that with a spunky female lead who blackmails her cousin Vinny into giving her a job as a bounty hunter and the super sexy badass Ranger, also a bounty hunter (who I will always prefer over Morelli) how could you say no?
I had to stop at #8. Life got in the way and I never got to finish the series, but I am looking forward to down time and being able to find the rest of the them and finish this series. I just love these books!!
If you like a laugh out load book that is easy reading and fun this is the book for you. It is also catagorized as a mystry so it keeps you reading. All of her "Stephanie Plum" books are the same way.
Stephanie Plum keeps me laughing as she gets herself in trouble over and over. Not to mention all the car bombings that she just deals with as a matter of course. Silly, fun!
