#2 in the Carrier series about Naval Air Power. This 1991 entry takes place back when the series was well-written and coherent.
Carrier series - Carrier Group 14 is in the Arabian Sea off the Indian coast when India mobilizes to attack Pakistan. The Russian Indian Ocean Squadron joins the Americans to urge the Indians to stand back. Instead the Indians attack the Russo-American fleet. Air combat ensues with F-14s piloted by Tombstone Magruder, etc. The Pakistanis threaten a nuclear attack.
