This is the 9th book of The Oxygen Series and l was looking forward to spending more time with Brandon and James as they're my favourite couple in this series. Brandon has been on such a journey since we first met him at 16 and finally we get to see Brandon happy, content and loved. If you only want to read Brandon's story you can easily just read book 4, 5 and 9.
James is Brandon's perfect yin to his yang. He instantly knows how to calm and ground Brandon when he's not coping and his patience and love is unconditional. Brandon is always going to need someone to depend on and guide him throughout life and James is his person.
But the story wasn't just about Brandon with three new characters, Morgan, Chase and Patrick entering the story and while l was initially confused I enjoyed the outcome.
Trauma and healing will be forever ongoing for Brandon and with James by his side Brandon is finally taking back control of his life.
"Good boy pup" he murmured and then planted another kiss on my shoulder. Good boy pup. Those heartfelt words made me feel like I was the most important person in the world.
Another masterfully designed path into the labyrinth of Cole Denton.
I was not expecting the intricate labyrinth path that Cole Denton took us on in this ninth book of the “Oxygen” series. Although all the usual suspects made an appearance, this book is definitely about my favorite “pup”, Brandon.
The story starts with the new owner of Club Oxygen, Andrew, doing some light renovations to the club in the way of erotic photographs and hiring a photographer for member pictures. This opportunity shows Brandon’s growth and security as he entertains possibly getting back into modeling, and you can’t help but cheer him on through his process of healing. Initially, I assumed this book would take us into Brandon’s re-immersion into his modeling career. Nothing could be further from the truth. The path in this labyrinth takes us deeper to the root of the problem at heart for Brandon…family, or lack of a father figure. This book took us on a beautiful ride of healing, redemption, and loss. And just when you think your emotional meter is full, in true C Denton fashion, he surprises us with the great reveal of Brandon’s biological father (Go Team Dragon)! Allowing two loss souls to finally find each other, with a look at their selves from the reflection of each other’s eyes. This book is not only a must-read but a great catalyst to explore his other series.
Model by Cole Denton may be the 9th book in the fan favorite Club Oxygen series, which must be read in order, but it’s also a brilliant crossover in his Takedown MMA series. Brandon’s first book Slave broke my heart for all he suffered through before finding healing with James and his newfound friends at Club Oxygen. One thing Brandon never had in his life was a father. His mom cut him out of hers and Brandon’s life when he was a just a child leaving him no biological family when she passed away. In this heartwarming story of reunion, a lucky twist of fate brings Brandon’s uncle Morgan to Club Oxygen, where he instantly knows Brandon is the long lost son his brother Chase, the youngest brother of Hollis Ward in The Takedown series. The story that follows is chock full of feels as Brandon and Chase both deal with the mixed emotions of anger and frustration at his mom and all the time they missed out on. While some of Cole’s stories have readers shedding tears of sadness, Model had my eyes welling up with happiness as Brandon and Chase forge their father/son relationship and Chase’s family welcome him into their lives with open arms.
If ever a book can hook you and reel you in instantly, capturing your heart while claiming a spot in your “most favourite books ever bookcase”, it’s Model. Cole Denton has built this fantastic world of characters in his Club Oxygen series that you become so invested in. His writing is honest, raw but most of all it’s relatable. As you read you feel like you’re one of his characters, living in their world. I love the fact that he sometimes interweaves other Cole worlds too. This book is centred on Brandon and his getting a second chance with someone he never thought he would. He wasn’t expecting it. He wasn’t prepared for it. He doesn’t think he’s worthy of it. I cried at parts of this book. My heart hurt for Brandon as he navigated his way through yet more turmoil and devastation. When will this guy get a break? I actually cried that out as I read. Well…never one for spoilers I highly recommend you read Model. Just read Cole Denton…read all his books - you will not be disappointed.
Speechless! Truly, the best book I've read all year. I devoured this story about Brandon. So freaking good! This book has all the feels. I cried. I laughed. Poignant. As is Cole Denton's style this story was both heartwrenching and heartwarming. Cole brought together so many wonderful characters from other books and pieced them together to finish a puzzle of sorts. Five stars - this story kept me glued to the pages. Five stars - Cole Denton hits this story out of the park! Five stars - I got swept away with Brandon's story...again. Five stars - I adored everything about this book. Cole Denton is one of the authors that no matter what he writes, I'm going to download that book. Well deserving of your time!
I will state again here that I have not read the entire Club Oxygen series. I just wanted to follow Brandon’s story and had read somewhere that only books 4,5 & 9 were necessary so rightly or wrongly that is what I have done. Yes, there were a few places where it was clear things had happened I was not aware of but in general I don’t feel I missed anything significant. As with books 4 & 5 there is a great deal of build up before the key event and then a mildly unsatisfying conclusion. Although you can interpret the ending as a HEA or HFN it just felt a little unfinished to me - maybe there’s more to come but that’s not clear either.
Cole Denton brought all the characters in Model. He brought all the heart strings and the heat. Brandon is the young pup and the apple of his Dom's eye James. As we are aware of the relationship of the two. Cole pulls out the stops and brings in the Ward brothers. As the photographer friend of Andrew discovers who Brandon's father is. This one book you really need to read It brings so much to light you didn't expect. Cole Denton gets all the five Stars! I'm never disappointed with his writing he brings everything you could ask for in a book. Keep bringing us the amazing books Cole.
This book was told from multiple POV's which was really cool considering how many beloved characters were in it. Brandon has come along way and it's awesome to see him happy and getting the life he deserves. James was definitely the best thing for him. But now Brandon is getting the family he missed out on. And this family is amazing and have also been through so much. Bringing these two worlds together makes me so happy for all the characters. But when Cole writes a book that was mostly happy it makes incredibly nervous for what comes next lol
OMG! I can't say enough good things about this book❣️❣️❣️ It tore me up at times, but made me feel so good in the end. And to have the two different series come together. I won't spoil anything else for those that are about to read it. All I can say bad about this book was that I didn't want it to end. Brandon and Chase bother went through sooo much. I am glad they are together now. I just want to say, "Please, sir, may we have some more?"
I love how Cole has brought our favorite characters from the Takedown Series to combine them with the Oxygen Series, tying up and explaining the missing parts of Chase and Brandon's lives. So sad that they were kept apart, seemingly for no good reason. Still, they are in touch now and the whole family has a lot of catching up to do and new memories to make. Brilliant read. I've never read a Cole Denton book I didn't enjoy.
I think cole’s writing is fantastic, not a series for the average reader by any means. That being said …
I have loved getting to know these characters and learning the how all the different stories weave into one.
Was not expecting this one bit, I was confused for sure at first trying to figure out where it was going but love the new twist and I am excited that more can now be added to the series!
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Brandon has finally come full circle. I have always loved Brandon. I was so happy when he met and found a loving home with James. He had been through more than any young man should have to endure. Cole Denton has tied everything up beautifully and paved the way for his new series, starting with The Dragon. Get this book ASAP and read the stunning conclusion of the Club Oxygen series. You won't regret it. Sorry, no spoilers.
5 Billion Stars! Why you ask? Because this little gem is a crossover of Club Oxygen and The Takedown series! Our favorite submissive, Brandon, and his Dom, James, continue their loving relationship. But secrets are revealed that change Brandon’s life forever. For the better or worse? You will have to read Model to find out!
I loved every single moment that brought these characters together. Every experience is so inspiring and exciting. Through this whole world of life somehow every single time I get to know each story and how much they overcame every obstacle to find their happiness and love.
I didn’t expect the story to go as it did but I loved it so much. Cole did a fabulous job connecting the character of the Oxygen and Takedown Series together. With Cole’s writing I can feel the pain, excitement, love and everything else. I shed some tears but also had to laugh at some point. Well done Mister.
Wow. What a way to end this series.. There's just one thing, I have to say..... NOOOOOOOÒ!!! Hehe.. I didn't want it to end. Cole Denton.. Give me more.. I luved this series. Can't wait to see what's new..
I don't know if I can give enough stars for this! Cole has outdone himself with this one! Most of my favorite characters collide as Cole seamlessly blends two of his fantastic series together! Lots of angst and feel good moments, your emotions don't know which way to go. I cried both sad and happy tears throughout and my heart broke for both Chase and Brandon through both series, but I knew Cole would eventually make things right, and boy did he! Do not miss this compelling series ender? (You never know when he may bring more to the series) It's a highly recommend for me!
