Another masterfully designed path into the labyrinth of Cole Denton.
I was not expecting the intricate labyrinth path that Cole Denton took us on in this ninth book of the “Oxygen” series. Although all the usual suspects made an appearance, this book is definitely about my favorite “pup”, Brandon.
The story starts with the new owner of Club Oxygen, Andrew, doing some light renovations to the club in the way of erotic photographs and hiring a photographer for member pictures. This opportunity shows Brandon’s growth and security as he entertains possibly getting back into modeling, and you can’t help but cheer him on through his process of healing. Initially, I assumed this book would take us into Brandon’s re-immersion into his modeling career. Nothing could be further from the truth. The path in this labyrinth takes us deeper to the root of the problem at heart for Brandon…family, or lack of a father figure. This book took us on a beautiful ride of healing, redemption, and loss. And just when you think your emotional meter is full, in true C Denton fashion, he surprises us with the great reveal of Brandon’s biological father (Go Team Dragon)! Allowing two loss souls to finally find each other, with a look at their selves from the reflection of each other’s eyes. This book is not only a must-read but a great catalyst to explore his other series.
