Janet Hardy-Gould is a graded reader author whose books are hugely popular with teachers and students around the world. She has written a wide range of graded readers for Oxford University Press. These include Ellis Island: Rosalia's Story (Oxford Dominoes) which won the Extensive Reading Foundation (ERF) award in 2020 and Merlin (Oxford Dominoes) which won the ERF award in 2015, plus Amelia Earhart (Oxford Bookworms Library) which was shortlisted for the ERF final in 2015, and Women Who Made A Difference which was shortlisted in 2025. Her best-selling titles include Henry VIII and his Six Wives (Oxford Bookworms Library) and Sherlock Holmes: The Emerald Crown (Oxford Dominoes). Discussion
Daniel Peter, an inventor in Switzerland failed to mix up chocolate and cheese. Do you know something match with chocolate?
My answer → Snack is match with chocolate! I sometimes eat Arare(Japanese snack) with chocolate.
There are several places famous as chocolate country such as West Afrca, Brazil, Indonesia, and South America. Witch country do you want to go to eat chocolate and why?
My answer → I want to go to South America because there is the most expensive chocolate there. I want to eat it. However, may I can buy it only one time. I don't have big money!


Comment.
There were some surprising things in this book. For example, there are children who has to work on chocolate job and they get a liite money from the work. I learned many things from this book. Now I'm intersted in chocolate. There are 3000 types of chocolate in the world! I want to try them so I eat them when I go the chocolate countries.

•I wrote this review in spanish because is my language and I think the people who buy this book, wants learn english. Also because I don't think
someone read this 🤓☝️ (My english is bad, I know).

Me terminé el libro anoche como a las 00:10 aproximadamente y debo decir que lo disfruté, es un libro rápido de leer y que te ayuda a ampliar tu vocabulario, además de que el tema de la historia del chocolate es bastante interesante.
Según la contraportada del libro es para nivel A2-B1 y según yo, se nota, porque se puede ver como repiten conectores y utilizan palabras simples.
Al final del libro incluye un vocabulario y actividades (de las cuales sólo realice algunas).

A very delicious book! It highlights chocolates' stories from the cacao beans, bars, different chocolate names to the gardens and factories! Also, it mentions the dark stories; men and children who is making a terrible journey to work on the plantations.

My impression:
I really enjoyed reading this book. I like chocolate but I didn't know about it very much, so I was happy to know.
There were many information about chocolate which I didn't know, and I think I became more I like chocolate than before.
I absolutely recommend this book for people who like chocolate very much!
