Moor handles the complexities of sibling love in riveting images that hurt the heart. He affirms we can leave a place, here the South, but carry its music, here the Blues. We can escape the family, even the maligned pigeons and thieving coyotes, but they have ways they stay with us. I could not stop reading this well-organized collection, and I could not think about anything else for a while. John and Eli will be with me for a while.
