The Oxford Handbook of Criminology is a must-have for all people interested in Criminology (and especially students). It was recommended to me in the first year of my studies in Criminology, and I felt in love with it. The book has covered most of the crime-related subject, and it is a great source for further references.

As you know, I'm only interested on the strain theory approach and oh man do they do dirty Merton's theory on this one.

Not only do they present strain theory as something "outdated", but they present it wrong (they can't distinguish the class aspect Merton developed).

I give it 2 stars because they at least mentioned it.
