Doors By Jaime Johnesee

A brilliant short story that will have you on the edge of your seat. The ending is creepy and thought provoking.
Dr.Everby is a pioneer in her field and is experimenting with a new approach to treating PTSD. This could be the paper that puts her in the top of her field and earn her many accolades if all goes well.
For all intent and purpose she has had much success with this new treatment. She is working with a Vet Mark Christopher who just came back from Iraq and he is having problems sleeping.
The brain and how it works is still a big mystery, and if you are not careful you could open doors that should never be opened. There are many ways our bodies protect it’s self. Some secrets are better off in the dark never to be seen in the light of day.
This Author never fails to empress you with her depth and natural talent of story telling. She has several books out form her Zombie series Bob the Zombie to Shifters, Collaborations of short stories in Anthologies. If you haven’t read any of her books check her work out.

OK, you see this review and think 'That's biased, he's listed as the illustrator!'
Yep, that's true, I decided to make a cover for this short story. I'm also an author of horror stories, so that should underrate all my reviews? No way!
I'm a reader first, just like you, and was so caught by Mrs. Johnesee's anthology that I contacted her to know more about her writing. She's a nice person, open to suggestions and advice. I suggested her to allow people get a sample of her writing skills with 'DOORS', the best from her collection in my humble opinion.
I was so in love with the story that I offered myself as cover designer ... and she accepted.
What's so amazing in this shorty, you are surely wondering?
It's twists and well-researched plot. Mrs. Johnesee knows a lot about human psychology, and she shows it in this tale. Being a short tale, I can't tell you more, except you have to read down to the last line to get the whole drama. And that's amazing.
I'm so proud to have my tiny piece of art gracing the cover of this little jewel.

This is an amazing short story that will open your eyes to mental illness and make you wonder if some of the doctors who work with these people really know what they are getting into. This is a fictional story but gives you the feeling that this is something that could happen. This story is incredibly well written and I promise after you read it you will be looking for more by this outstanding author, Jamie Johnesee.

This was suggested to me. Have never read the author, and was quite pleased. The story was an easy read, kept my attention. Five stars and I'll add her to my list of authors to keep an eye on.
