This book is loaded with fun facts about reptiles!! It adds unique ideas, themes, knowledge that some students may not realize they are interested in, or maybe they did not realize they were interested yet. It seems like a great whole class read to prompt questions, and see what the kids are interested in and if they have any interests or experiences connected to the fun stuff in here!

An informative, well-written text, with good photographs and a number of humorous illustrations, Why Do Birds Sing is structured in sections around common questions children might have. The book is remarkably detailed for a beginning non-fiction reader. I wish there other reader tools, such as a table of contents had been included. Recommended.
