It is an interesting although not particularly "enjoyable" read. I would have benefited from knowing more about Italian history from the 1400 and 1500s, but who wouldn't? The sentences can be a bit long and unwieldy, but the gist is certainly there. Certainly, a certain America "prince" is not destined for success, if Machiavelli's advice still holds true. This gives me hope.
