Fire in the cockpit! Rand Michaels was barely into the mission when it went sour. But there wasn't a damned thing he could do except push Winnie Mae Taylor to use every ounce of her aviation skills to get them on the ground. So, he pinned her with his most forceful army sergeant glare and said, "Just do it! Get this plane down in one piece."
Winnie's lips tightened at his command. Rand's gut twisted. He was so tired of this game. So tired of pulling people into his web only to discover too late that they were innocent. That they had no business being in his deadly trap. Of course, he didn't know if Winnie was innocent....
a book with a plane crush was supposed to be at least exciting but this was boring and annoying, the girl kept complaining and I wanted to tell her to get over it get a backbone and the guy rand was so expected in 2 days they had feelings and kissed and he the lone wolf mercenary loved the inoccent caring girl, so naive and written in the most boring way
Picked this up from the Share-A-Book shelf at work. I'm still enjoying reading about Alaska. Unfortunately this novel violates one of my #1 romance novel rules: There have to be more than 2 characters in most of the book. rand and Winnie are the only characters for most of this novel. First she thinks a thought. Then she says it, than he thinks about what she said. So we cover the same material at least 3 times. Multiply by every single thought and word in the book. I skimmed ahead to see how they got out of their original situation (a plane crash) and then to the very end to see how Rand stays with Winnie. I don't feel like I missed anything.
Judith's books are a little hard to find these days so I haven't actually read this one but being the she is a friend I had to select her books. Mostly cute, romances but she has a definite flair for dialogue and unlike most sweet romances hers seems real.
