This is a great reference book for those interested in abstract expressionism. The images are great quality, and the "larger than average" page size allows the reader to better appreciate the works of art from this movement. The writing style is suitable for those new to the genre (as well as those who have done more research into abstract expressionism).

While this book does mention some female artists from the movement, it only mentions two. There were quite a few interesting female artists from this time era, so it's unfortunate that this book only mentions two.
