An enjoyable, feel-good short romance novel written for the LDS audience. I listened to the audio version which was very well done. The characters are believable and the plot had s few interesting diversions with a somewhat predictable but satisfying conclusion.
Pretty good book, as far as LDS romance stories go. Why does it seem so obvious to me, the reader, who likes (loves) whom? Some of the people seem a little too perfect.
Paula Donroe is a new convert to the church, who lost her youngest son TJ in a drive-by shooting, is struggling with her teenage son Scott, and is reunited with the son she gave away 22 years earlier. Paula is invited to meet Mark's adoptive family. She's immediately taken in by them, especially Mark's mother Jakarta. And, what a tear jerker that will be as Jakarta succumbs to cancer. Very intriguing and seductive proposal at the end.
