Definitely not an interest to me, but many children in the classroom may be interested in football and, who knows, this could be the book that hooks them on reading.

Very well written and interesting. Presents the history of the NFL in a riveting manner that igniteth the senses to the sport of football (verbose).

Basically, it spent a lot of time on the mobs they called teams in the 20's and 30's,which i knew nothing about.

In this book John Madden wrote everthing that he knew about football. i learned how football began. it was origonated from rugby. but the first people that played it was on a very small field on their knees. football had many different names. The college teams started playing before they made a professional football team. At first there was only a few colleges that played this highly agressive sport. Slowly but shirly more colleges enduss this sport. Them they started a professional team. They started with a few teams. These teams would play eachother many times in a season, and when they started they didn't have a lot of pads. It also stated the name of all of the greatest players of all time, with a description of there legacies. That pretty mutch raps it all up.

This is the stupidest book i have EVER read in my whole life. That may be just because when i was reading it i could tell you exactly what is going to be said next because i really know alot about football. On the other hand it makes me feel kinda cool and smart in a way because not all people can say they know all that stuff. That is the only reason i havent burned the stupid book yet. I actually got bored while sports was in my mind. I might have liked the book only if i just learn one thing. Anyway, the last chapter is titled "Americas Team" which is my favorite team(Dallas Cowboys) and i bet it will talk about the amazing three superbowls in the 90's. I am on the page 144, the last chapter and when i finish i think my fire place is next in line to read is. hahaha

I thought the book was great because there was a lot of information in the text. I liked that it had a ton of text because it gives you more information than just looking at pictures. I thought the pictures were great because they made you feel like you were on the sidelines and they were very detailed.
