all very interesting subject matter, i'd say the first half (intro-chapter 2) was more tied together than a more disjointed 3rd and 4th chapter although curtis argues sufficiently for their pedagogical importance in the intro. more concision would have been appreciated, but content of the first half was key to my independent research and also very Enlightening in general. informs excellently on new ways of seeing in STS and media studies, which of course helps with critical thinking as a scholar and person as well. gives a whole new dimension to understanding classic and contemporary films alike, like Nope, A Clockwork Orange, Modern Times
