She has a lot of good ideas in here about photographing your family's every day, and I think it would be a great book especially for new mom photographers. Much of what is mentioned I already do in my work. I also don't agree with some of her ideas (i.e. "a diagonal horizon line adds interest" just no. Also, shoot in A-priority or auto; I personally think learning Manual is best). Some of the photos are beautiful, but for many, iPhone apps such as Hipstamatic were used, which I think will date the book down the road; I think using more timeless images would have been better. I love Shutter Sisters and have followed them from the very beginning of my interest in photography. I think this book might be a better choice for someone newer to photography.

This is such a wonderful, inspiring book for all of you who love photography. Tracey's writing style is terrific (you feel like she is sitting there across the room chatting with you and encouraging you) and her tips and photo ideas will have you running to pick up your camera and snap more photos of EVERYTHING. Love it!

This book is about so much more than photography... for moms looking for a way to hold onto childhood for just a little longer this is a must read. It's a beautiful tribute to all the little things that make up a life. Whether you're a photographer or an iphone owner, you've got to read Elevate the Everyday- you'll be inspired to start documenting your own journey right away.

While short technical tips are included, that is not the focus of this book. It is aimed to mothers with cameras, DSLR or cellphone. The emphasis is on what to take pictures of in daily life and about how taking pictures can help mothers appreciate and process the joys and challenges of motherhood through the years.

If you are a mom with a camera (point and shoot or DSLR) and want ways to document your children in ways out of the box, this book is for you!!! I wish I had been able to read this when my son was small: I would have captured more details...

This book is one to own, not borrow. Filled with great instruction for amateurs (and helpful reminders for non-amateurs) as well as inspirational photography. It helped give me a fresh look at the small, beautiful, fleeting details of motherhood and how I capture them.

I love, love, love this book. It's inspiring. It's reassuring. It's gorgeous. So glad I bought this for myself and I've given copies to several friends and family members.

Not much in the way of technical info, but lots of inspiration which was what I needed after feeling kind of 'meh' about picking up my camera for a little while.

This was a good last book to finish, as it inspires to keep on photographing the everyday. January is a good time for that.

I really enjoyed this book. If you love Shutter Sisters, this is a must read.
