My Name Is Meth

Rate this book
The drug is known by many names, crystal, crank, glass, speed. It hooks individuals from all walks of life with no profession immune. For many, their true story of addiction ends in homelessness, isolation and death. Methamphetamine abuse has become a major epidemic in this country, fueled by the Mexican drug cartels, greed and addiction. I have witnessed meth's cruelly destructive power in ways more personal than I ever expected. It began when a young acquaintance came knocking on my door, looking for help after a drug deal gone horribly wrong and a murder committed. I became shocked to learn what I believe is underlying the destruction of America and our families. Meth holds people hostage, and few have found the key to unlock the door. As one addict put it, 'It robs your soul'. This is an eye-opening book that exposes the horrors perpetrated by the users on themselves in order to maintain their habits. The objective was to present a dire picture of this growing problem that is moving rampantly through our communities.
